She was not "socialized" (ie. used to being around other cats) during her first visit, but the team worked with me before booking to make sure that Mochi would be a good fit and have the private space she needed to feel comfortable while she warmed up to the space. For cats younger than 1 year or unsocialized young cats like mine, they have a separate room where they let the kitties warm up to each other before letting them free-roam around the whole catio and garden, which I think is a great idea. On that first visit, Mochi ended up wanting to hang out with the team in their office the whole week, and they made sure she got plenty of stimulation and attention even though she wasn't being a team-player and playing with the other guests. The staff give great personalized feedback at the end of each visit, so we were happy to hear when we picked her up after her second visit that she was a bit braver and ventured into the free-roam areas this time. Another highlight for me is that the team posts photos of every guest every other day of the week, so it's easy to check in and see how your cat is doing while you're traveling! Their pricing is super fair and booking our second visit was even easier, since they already had Mochi's records and details. It gives great peace of mind to know that the team is extremely on top of vaccination records, so my cat is not going to get sick from the other guests. She's also been really helpful in getting our new foster people-acclimated, trained, and adoption-ready, and for that, I and handsome Hubig, said foster, will be forever grateful. The cost is comparable to boarding in a kennel, except Miley stays in her own home where she is comfortable and for roughly the same price if she were to stay in a cage all day. Miley used to get upset when she saw me pack a suitcase, but now she knows that Skye is coming to stay with her and she is a happy camper.
