Prices at places nearby seem to have shot up with the coming gentrification of the area, but this place remains true to its roots: loaded with workmen at lunchtime, enormous portions, standard cafe menu with daily specials, excellent value.

The only dish I wouldn't recommend is the Scampi and Chips as they use tinned peas and frozen scampi so it tastes a bit weird.
Otherwise, everything I've had has been great -- dig in!! read more
