I've spent a lot of time sheltering from rain in cafes the last few days. This one is another standard café, selling beans, toast, sausages, burgers, etc etc. The food is nothing special but well enough cooked: the chips were similar to what you'd get in MacDonald's, but crispy and light. The hot chocolate was OK Salad was plain sliced tomato, cucumber, onions and lettuce, though I think it had been pre-sliced and standing for a while.
On food I'd say it loses to the Caledonian, however the décor is more consistently good: definitely the best loos of the three I've reviewed recently! Loos are downstairs again, so again not disabled accessible. Atmosphere was friendly with some nice cheerful Christmas light up. read more
