I am a casual rider. But because of quarantine and lack of work/activities, I have been riding more than usual. I love my cruiser. I bought it off the shelf, knowing nothing about bikes. It took me a month just to learn to ride...I never learned. Occasionally, I put some oil on my bike if it seems to be shifting weird. And I do check my tire pressure regularly. Aside from that, I've never had an adult check it out. I decided that it was probably time to have a tuneup and have a thorough safety check. I did call the bike shop down the street, but they are no longer taking appointments, and I was not about to go wait in line as they had suggested. I happened to find Velofix online and was able to get an appointment in about a week. Matt was my bike guy (what is the technical term....Bichanic?) Anyhow, he was on time and completed a tire-to-tire evaluation. He even installed my cushy new saddle so I'll be more comfortable during rides. He cleaned my bike, which brought a little tear to my eye. It looked better than the day I bought it. Plus, my brakes no longer sound like air horns. Much appreciated! Incredibly convenient service and I will definitely be better about caring for my bike. Even as a long-time rider and cycling enthusiast, I was only recently introduced to Velofix as a result of ordering an e-bike for my wife for Christmas. Being unfamiliar with the new technology, I added assembly to my RadPower order. Scheduling was a breeze (thank you Natasha) and Velofix's on-site mechanic was competent, conversational and extremely helpful in educating me on assembly and operating and maintenance tips. Saw the mobile service van at the grand opening of the University Crossing Bridge. I stopped and asked a few questions because I had never heard of this kind of service. Went online to make an appointment. A couple of days later, Andy came out. He tuned up my mountain bike and updated my tire fix and lighting systems. I wanted a bike computer. He didn't have one on board but when he checked with a colleague, he called me to let me know he could secure one that met my needs. He came back the next morning and installed it. Hands down the way of the future. I set up an appointment online for a 5:30PM at my home. After picking up the kids and racing home to get here with only 5 minutes to spare, I saw the velofix truck already out front and (I think?) patiently waiting. I met Andy shortly thereafter and away he went. In between playtime, dinner, bathtime, and bedtime with the kids, he kept me informed of what he was doing and what he thought needed to be fixed/replaced on my bike. The guy worked until 9:30PM and handed back my bike to me in what felt like near-new condition. The little bit I spent in the truck, it seemed cozy and clean, but I had way more fun with the kids than hanging out in there ;) Never again will I drop off my bike for days on end at a shop. I love our LBSs here in Dallas, but this service is unbeatable. read more

I saw the Velofix van last week in the shopping center where I work. Wanted to see what it was all about so I looked it up and saw it was a mobile bike repair shop. Perfect timing because I am just getting back into tris after an 18 month hiatus. I'm used to dropping off my bike across town to a shop and waiting a week or two to get it back. I figured a mobile shop would be costly but the rates were all posted on the website and really affordable! Especially since I'm not burning any gas in my pickup truck to get the bike there and back. Today was my day off so I figured I'd get online and book a future date to get a tune up on my Cervelo. Afternoon times for the SAME DAY were available. Chose a 7:30 time, got an email confirmation and Jacob showed up promptly at 7:30. Got started on my bike and was done in just over an hour. He also looked at a badly bent wheel off my other bike and said that he'll hand deliver the replacement part when it come in. I was very impressed with the overall experience of Velofix and will definitely be a repeat customer! read more

Was very impressed by this company. Mechanic (Andy) showed up about 15 minutes early to setup and rung the door bell promptly. Listened to what I needed and proceeded to work. Through the whole process I was in the van and Andy was very knowledgeable and described not only what he was doing, but the importance of it as he was working on the bike. Alright so I was honestly a little skeptical. It's a mobile bike shop. This could either be really terrible (how could they have all the tools they need) or really awesome. It was super easy to book online via their website and in a few minutes he sent a confirmation email. I decided I'd just do the basic tuneup just in case. Andy came out 15 minutes early to set up his van then came to my door to introduce himself. He's very knowledgeable and after 35 seconds, I knew this would be a rad experience. He asked if I was having any issues with my bike which I was and his van was stocked with every tool, coffee, protein bars, sealant, parts and even AC! He's extremely honest and trustworthy. Actually, I ended up bumping up to the next tier of tune up AND had him do my husband's bike as well. I will 100% call him again for my next tune up or repair. read more

Love using this service! Andy has come to my building several times now and the service is stellar. Always on time, arrives around my schedule and does fantastic work. The prices are absolutely comparable (if not cheaper) than a bike store visit. It's great to have the bike serviced immediately so you aren't without it for 2-3 days. Can't say enough about the service, Andy and the convenience. He even got a part warrantied for me on this last visit and saved me having to pay for a replacement. Top notch! read more

I am so impressed with Velofix DFW. I had Darrell. He arrived on time, thought it would take an hour to assemble my new ebike, and it did. Stepped me through all the controls. I went out for a spin, I had a blowout at 4 miles, I messaged him, and he came back right after the job he had moved on to.
