They even took the time to recommend some great local training routes, which was incredibly helpful since I'm not from the area. The combination of their technical expertise, willingness to help at the end of their day, and genuine friendliness made this a memorable experience. Beyond being a genuinely great guy, he is insanely knowledgeable about bikes. He shared that it's been his passion since he was a young kid, and it absolutely shows in his work. He serviced two of our bikes (an ElliptiGO 8c and a Schwinn Sivica comfort cruiser) in less than an hour. Working right out of his BikeMedics van, he swapped out the brakes, lubricated the gears, and even washed them both down so they looked as good as new! He got everything done perfectly on the spot. But the absolute best part was that he actually took the time to show us how to properly operate the bikes. He shared some great tips and tricks, and even taught us how to fix small things ourselves in case they ever break. Nate is officially our forever bike guy. Do yourself a favor and skip the big box stores: you'll get way better service, learn a lot, and possibly even save some money by going with BikeMedics. I am a casual rider. But because of quarantine and lack of work/activities, I have been riding more…read morethan usual. I love my cruiser. I bought it off the shelf, knowing nothing about bikes. It took me a month just to learn to ride...I never learned. Occasionally, I put some oil on my bike if it seems to be shifting weird. And I do check my tire pressure regularly. Aside from that, I've never had an adult check it out. I decided that it was probably time to have a tuneup and have a thorough safety check. I did call the bike shop down the street, but they are no longer taking appointments, and I was not about to go wait in line as they had suggested. I happened to find Velofix online and was able to get an appointment in about a week. Matt was my bike guy (what is the technical term....Bichanic?) Anyhow, he was on time and completed a tire-to-tire evaluation. He even installed my cushy new saddle so I'll be more comfortable during rides. He cleaned my bike, which brought a little tear to my eye. It looked better than the day I bought it. Plus, my brakes no longer sound like air horns. Much appreciated! Incredibly convenient service and I will definitely be better about caring for my bike. I know it's illegal to hi-five during quarantine times, but I would've given him two hi-fives if it were allowed.

Not happy! It says they open at 10am. We arrived at 10:04am. It's not open. We wait and wait...it's…read morenow 10:47 and they still aren't open. No one is answering their phone. This is very unprofessional. We drove 40 mins to get here and now we have to leave as we have another event we have to attend and won't have time to go home to get dressed if we continue to wait. This will be my 4th time coming here and although they are always late, it's never been this bad.

Do NOT go to Oak Cliff Bike Synergy. I've had a few repairs and services done there. EVERY time, he…read moresaid it would be a week and kept the bike over 2 months. This last one specifically, I literally rode in my $1500 eBike to his shop, asked for him to do a tire replacement and full inspection. After a dozen delays, I go to pick up the bike and it's completely dead. Not only did he not notice it, after he tinkered with it, he just said "it died, it's not our fault". It's insane. I called the manufacturer, they concurred that this is a common issue with bike repair shops that don't know what their doing. After I took the bike away and had an expert look at it, he sent me this photo (see attached) where Jorge and his team had severed the wires powering the motor. When I showed these to Jorge, he continued to deny it completely and refused to take any responsibility. Now we're having to settle this in small claims. I'm not happy to do this, because I prefer to support local businesses and I live in Oak Cliff, but this is an awful shop, with a dishonest owner. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
