Dear Tim and Magic Sun…read more Thank you so much for the trouble shooting. Though it was a simple fix that i should have figured out on my own, after a number of calls to other solar companies, Tim responded quickly and made the process much better and more affordable. I realize that solar companies are in the business of selling panels and batteries to make a greater income, so coming out for a minor fix is even more appreciated. That said, Magic Sun is now my forever "maintainer" and go to for solar or battery issues.

He was responsive throughout our whole interaction and he ranks up there as one of the most thorough, helpful, and transparent roofing experts I've spoken to. You can tell he loves his vocation, treats his everyone with respect & dignity, and expects high quality workmanship from his team. Our quote was competitive and within a few thousand compared to two other similar companies. While we opted to go with another provider for our roof (it was truly a difficult choice), we'll certainly return to Volt when we're ready to install solar due to the customer service and attentiveness I experienced during the estimate process. I am always skeptical when I see companies with a skewed number of reviews, and I rarely provide a 5 star rating, but I think it's certainly deserved in this case.

I had 4 companies come out and asked them is there a problem. 2 companies quickly looked it over and said we just need to buy more panels. 1 company said here is the problem but gave me a quote but would not explain what needed to be done. Capital City Solar found the problem and explained it to me. Yes it was expensive to fix but they said they could sell me a new system but that would be wasting my money. I cannot imagine there are many homeowners who are experts when it comes to HVAC systems. I know…read morefor a fact that I am not, it was with great trepidation that I started our search for a new system since our 40 year old system was on it's last legs, and another Sacramento summer was at hand. So I reached out to three local companies, all of whom came highly recommended, for proposals to replace the entire system, duct work included. I then put all three into ChatGPT and here is the one comment about Phoenix Energy Solutions' proposal that was the most salient. "Those are signs that the contractor is paying attention to installation quality rather than simply replacing equipment." The price was also very competitive and when the entire scope of the proposals where compared, it was the best from a cost perspective. Of course a proposal on paper, is just that, words on paper. Now it's time to see if the work stands up to the words. Yes, yes they did. Five stars here. Communication was clear, scheduling the job was prompt. The job took two days and our new Amana 3-ton 17+ SEER Variable Heat Pump system was installed and working beautifully. Now, keep in mind this is a very intrusive process, but Micah and his crew were conscientious and careful in our home. I can say without hesitation, Micah and Phoenix Energy Solutions checks all the boxes. Knowledgable - Check Thorough - Check Competitive - Check Communication - Check Honest - Check Quality - Check
