Ice cream sundae (vegan)
Debbie K.

We went to the soft opening of VegiOasis which was VegiLicious before. The menu is the same and taste of food is the same as Vegilicious because previous owners handed down recipes to the new owners before moving back to Japan. The culinary is Japanese. It is 100% vegan and organic!!! The place is relaxing with good vibe atmosphere. Service was friendly and staff welcomed customers back! They need customers so please support this vegan restaurant! We had Chef's Green Salad with sesame ginger dressing, miso soup, vegan Kobe beef bbq bowl on multigrain rice, tempeh Japanese curry on multigrain rice, and then shared a vegan ice cream sundae. Curry sauce is made in house. Food was tasty, healthy (not oily), and fresh. Quality is up there! Unfortunately this place is far from our home. It probably takes about half an hour to get there but Huntington Beach people should be happy this place is reopened! The grand opening is Sunday October 20, 2024. This restaurant opens 11am-2pm and 5pm-9pm daily!!!! I hope they will make it. Although the prices on the menu are high, you get what you pay for in fresh, organic, and excellent quality vegan dishes.

So happy I got to try this place and they stayed open! VegiOasis is a very warm and welcoming restaurant with tasty and healthy food. The vegan BBQ beef bowl was easily the best I've ever had. The texture was incredibly satisfying and the flavor was both savory and sweet with complex notes. We also tried the curry which was light and refreshing. We could tell there were no preservatives or refined oils as we felt to energized after! I'd definitely come again.

The food was so appetizing that we neglected to take photos until we had consumed most of the dishes. So sorry there are no photos of the food. I had the delicious yakisoba and my wife had the hearty miso soup. We indulged in the raw pumpkin cheesecake-like dessert; the cacao nibs on top were a spectacular touch. A perfect lunch after visiting Bolsa Chica. Too bad we live in far south OC.

Very sad, door says temporarily closed. We were hopefully to try after the new ownership and great reviews from a few weeks ago. Called multiple times, checked all social and no answer. Sad we missed out.

Korean BBQ bowel & burger. Soboro sushi.

Everything was so fresh & tasty. We got the Korean bbq burger, Korean bowel, corn soup, kids meal, & Sonora Moro. Loved it all and can't wait to come back and try some more. The best vegan "chicken" tender we have ever had. Also love have its organic, vegan, and they don't use seed oils.

We had a fantastic meal here with our friends. The food was all delicious and very clean. And the service was kind, informative and gracious. We tried the ramen, chowder, Kobe, sushi and salad as well as the lemon raspberry cake and ice cream for dessert. Left feeling full and happy!

Such a cute little restaurant conveniently located next to a Trader Joe's. Service was excellent and our food was absolutely fresh and delicious. Will definitely come back when in the area.

Creamy Sweet Corn Chowder

I want to support this business before they close! Such a sweet couple who have brought both authentic flavors and fusion together in the form of approachable vegan dishes. I haven't had corn potage since giving up dairy, but theirs really took me back to the real thing I had growing up. I also enjoyed the noodles of the yakisoba, which tasted just the pork version I'm used to eating.

Teriyaki Crispy Chicke'n Tenders Bowl

This was my 3rd time having Vegilicious and while it isn't my top favorite vegan food, I really really enjoy it and I love supporting a local small business, run entirely by Ana and Akira. They are both so sweet and accommodating and make menu items that you really can't find vegan nearby. I shared the teriyaki chicken, Kobe beef, and steamed vegetables with miso sauce. We loved the Kobe beef the most and also loved the sauce that came on the steamed vegetables. I wish that the dishes were more veggie heavy because they do come with a lot of rice and are very expensive for what you get. I've never had anything like the housemade Kobe beef though and that is definitely what I most recommend!

Atsuko, the most cheerful employee I've ever met

My friend and I received a delicious vegan lunch from the most attentive and kind people. This restaurant is kept very clean and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The corn chowder was very good and I absolutely loved the chick'n teriyaki bowl Atsuko and a young gentleman were extremely helpful and so friendly. This is the first time I experienced employees who seemed genuinely happy to be there and help their guests. I would definitely come back!

Super yummy! The service was great. I took my baby and they even gave me kid utensils. The meatless beef is definitely one of the best proteins I have ever had. The sweet corn soup is also a must try unfortunately I forgot to take a photo.

Food was delicious and staff was very friendly! The corn chowder was especially delicious, seriously recommend it. Hand Rolls were also very good and presented well, as was the curry!

Spicy Miso ramen

We almost tried everything in their menu in one sitting. All the food were great. Everything was made with lot of care and you can feel that. All of their ingredients are organic. The servers took lot of care when we were there. My favorites were the beef bbq bowl and the beef curry. My wife loved the ramen. Also had their sundae which was delicious. They are carrying the legacy of Ana and Akira quite well. Will definitely go back. Everything is very well decorated. They have patio sitting as well.

Ask the Community - VegiOasis

Do you use seed oils in your cooking?

We use organic olive oil. Thank you for your inquiry!

Are you close to selling and moving back to Japan? I was looking for vegetarian places in Huntington Beach as my stepmother can no longer eat meat, and was going to buy them a gift card, but don't want to get it if you're closing. Thanks!

When is the last day the restaurant will be open?

Are any mock meats made in house? Which ones?

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed on the patio.

Is there a low sodium substitute available, or low sodium menu options?

Everything is cooked fresh and to order so I'm sure they would accommodate.

Do they use MSG?

OMG no way not at all, ever. This is a healthy place! Even their free water is specially filtered and delicious!

How long is the wait for food?

Food comes out quite quickly. Chef is a real pro!

Hello, does this place have gluten-free items?Thank you.

Yes, they do have many delicious gluten free menu items.

Review #19 for 2026…read more Been here several times and it always hits the spot! Its a tiny shop located towards the back of the main street of Huntington Beach Pier. Parking here as with any beach town is difficult, but not impossible. There are some free street parking and paid lots. Service is quick and friendly. It's mainly a to-go place with a couple outdoor tables. The pizza here is good, like really good!! You can order by the slice or an entire pizza if you want. It's one of the best pizza places I have tried. My go to here is the truffle porcini (mushroom) pizza even though I'm an all meat pizza kinda gal. It's just sooo tasty! The crust here is food and the dough is light! My baby boy devoured his entire pepperoni and sausage slice. Prices are fair, from about $8-10 a slice depending on what you get. Whenever I come to Huntington Beach I try to get pizza here! The pizza here does not dissapoint! Would I come back? Of course I would. If It was closer I'd be here much more often! I'm going to have to try their Anaheim location at the Anaheim packing house. It much closer and more accessible for me.

Not even the complimentary fake restaurant "Hi, how are you guys?" Straight to business. I respect efficiency, but maybe sprinkle a little hospitality on top. First, I'll give them this: the place itself is pretty cool. Fun atmosphere, cool interior, definitely has some personality. The tables, though? Dirty. Normally I'd understand if the place was slammed and everybody was running around. Except one cashier was taking orders while the other employee was just standing there texting. My friend... the tables are asking for you. Put the phone down, grab a sani rag, give one of them a little love. You don't need to deep clean the building--just make me feel like my forearms aren't about to become part of the previous guest's meal. Food-wise? Meh. The flavors were actually pretty good, but some of the chips weren't fully cooked through. And the tri-tip? Let's just say "tri-tip" was doing some heavy lifting on that menu description. Then we went to get ice. Nothing. Zero ice. I understand they're currently transitioning and moving across the way, so I'm willing to give some grace there. But no ice? Guys... CVS is across the way. I'm pretty sure they sell bags of it. Sometimes the solution doesn't require a manager meeting. Overall, the service wasn't terrible. It wasn't great either. It was just... meh. And unfortunately, that describes most of the experience. The frustrating part is the place itself is cool and the food has some decent flavor. The little things are what killed it for me: dirty tables while someone is texting, no ice, undercooked chips, and basically no hospitality from the jump. Nothing individually is catastrophic. But stack enough little things together and eventually you're sitting there wondering why you came in. Venue: Pretty cool Food: Meh, but decent flavor Service: Not bad, definitely not great Chips: Some needed another date with the fryer Tri-tip: We need to discuss the definition of tri-tip Ice machine: Thoughts and prayers Dirty tables + employee texting: Come on now Maybe once the move is finished they'll tighten everything up. My partner wanted to try it. We tried it. Mission accomplished. For us, we'll stick with Prime or Los Cholos.
