I'd give this place six stars if I could. Absolutely exceptional. A vegan food truck run by an Aussie down a back alley - nothing from that sentence would normally tally with Ireland. Vegan. Food Truck. Aussie. Situated somewhere out of the norm. But that's exactly what Veginity is - something really aside from the norm. Located in the industrial area behind Camden St, somewhere up and behind from the Shaw, you could be forgiven to think you're on the completely wrong track. Actually they have the truck set up inside a workshop shell, so when you reach the green steel industrial-feel doors, you get quite the surprise to see that there is in fact a 'proper' restaurant set up behind it. A rusted chandelier hangs over steel framed tables and chairs. Tables are set simply, and it all comes together to construct a beautifully unique setting. It's a sign of things to come, and the food arrives, presented as if we're sitting in a Michelin star restaurant. Exquisitely beautiful, delicate in appearance and flavour in a way that you would never in a million years expect to be served out of a food truck. The menu changes each week according to what Mark the chef gets from the market, and this I suspect will be another key factor in bringing people back time and time again. There were many highlights for me but to pick just one, it would have to be the desert. Wow. Vegan triple chocolate cake. 70% dark chocolate mousse, 85% chocolate ganache and an almond milk cream with subtle touches of coconut and strawberries on top. At the moment, the truck opens on Fridays and Saturdays only - follow their Facebook page for menus and any other events they're doing. Really looking forward to seeing how they progress.

This is a one of the most unexpected delights I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I'm not a Vegan, i'm not a vegetarian but this place proves that meat is just an ingredient and like most ingredients can be left out and a wonderful meal provided! Loved the food here and we will be back as soon as possible. So if your a Vegan or Vegetarian this place is definitely for you. If your not, its still definitely for you. I'm not going to try and describe the place because on paper it doesnt sound magical. But it is. So make a trip and try it out. Note the evening meals are basically one choice of starter & main and two desserts. So if you are fussy eater / have problems with certain ingredients check the menu on there facebook page before you go!

Lucky to have been invited to veginity for a Yelp event. I had it bookmarked and been trying to go here before but none of my friends took the bait thinking vegan food is just not their cup of tea. Well how wrong are they! Even the biggest carnivores would enjoy the food in veginity in my opinion. On the Yelp night we were served several different Mexican bites and they were all very tasty. Highlight for most of the crowd was probably the chocolate Icecream dessert. I'm not even mad on chocolate but this was seriously good! Again, I am going to convince my mates to come along with me.. I need to have another meal here ASAP.

Was here for an event not too long ago and, as an admittedly hedonistic carnivore, I can now say I've had a vegan meal which I thoroughly enjoyed! Couldn't even begin to describe the dishes and it would be somewhat less useful to do so than the average restaurant as the menu evolves a bit over time, according to the owner. However all ingredients were fresh, the vegan taco was delish (even according to a California girl!) and IF you see the chocolate meringue - GET IT. The menu for the week is posted on their facebook page. This is basically a food truck pulled into an old garage or possibly storage unit; from that description you'd never know how nice it is inside! Clean, modern, and pretty hipster to be quite frank. As of now only open at dinner on Friday and Saturday; opening hours to expand soon, which is great as I'm looking forward to taking some vegetarian friends here ASAP!

Easily one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin with an amazing rotating menu, beautiful pastries and lovely staff.

The one on Abbey Street in Dublin is a no frilld but clean and pleasant restaurant. You have options on the size of your meal, ranging from a bit under ten euros to 13 or so. Meals are rice, dal, veggie curries and vegetables. It is not gourmet but it is nutritious and relatively cheap for dublin. Menu does vary s bit. Given that Irish food is very meat heavy, this is a good option and cheaper than most South Asian restaurants I saw. Central location makes it s great lunch option.

If you are vegetarian or vegan, this is fantastic food at a great price. The folks behind the counter give very generous servings, so honestly the small plate is more than adequate. It's a no-frills place, cafeteria style, rather than a place for table service. There is no set menu, they cook what is fresh, seasonal and available, and in the evening after 7pm, they stop cooking any more food and what's left is what's available. From the dinner items I had, the rice & yellow dal was fantastic, as was the turmeric potato bake. I didn't like the chickpea + spinach dish wax much, but that cause of a personal taste preference for creamed spinach rather than boiled, as was the case with this dish. They have takeaway containers (foil) which I availed myself of, as couldn't finish everything on my plate. Overall great food at a great price, so recommend! Yelp 119 / 2019

Their food was fresh and delicious, and very reasonably priced. Tucked away down an alley (not completely unusual for Dublin), and sort of inside a yoga studio, HappyFood provides lunch during the day before the studio starts their classes. You order at the front counter and then they bring the food right to your table. The selection ranges from things like falafel wraps and burgers, to several fresh rice bowls. They mark everything on the menu very clearly with allergen symbols. What was a bit confusing to us, though, was actually how much non-veg options they normally have. We saw some notes about shellfish, but the days we were there, nothing on the menu appeared to be less the vegetarian. Nonetheless, the first time we went, I got the falafel wrap as a meal, meaning it came with a side of chips and a drink. The falafel itself was quite good, as well as all the trimmings inside. The second day, I opted for a bowl that had a delicious corn slaw and sweet potatoes (very delicious and hearty). Would recommend to anyone looking for a healthy-ish lunch, even if they're not exclusively vegetarian or vegan.

We walked about 30 minutes out of our way to go here and we ordered two 'snickers' shakes which were 5.50 each and sat down outside. The area outside is very nice, with cute tables and chairs and some nice nature elements. Unfortunately, the 'shakes' were very lackluster and didn't taste like a 'snickers' anything at all, more like a banana and cacoa smoothie. I'm giving three stars as the staff were very nice, the place was clean and tidy,it seemed very busy and the drinks weren't bad, just not what they're advertised as. They were definitely not shakes or snickers like at all, more like overly expensive smoothies.

We asked for Gyro of pork with chips and Souvlaki of chicken rolled in a wrap of pita bread. They are tasty and they are served with a yoghurt sauce that I love it. The place is not very big so probably you need a reservation if you go more than three people. They have take away service and they accept cards. Not perfect but nearly there…read more I live around the corner so was curious to see these guys working like Trojans over Christmas to get the restaurant ready for new year. Ever since they opened the restaurant has been busy every mealtime. After a large late lunch, we got peckish around 8.30pm so it seemed like a perfect excuse to order from our new Greek neighbours. We had mixed dips with pitta, hummus, spinach and feta fritters, mpriam (more of which later), a chicken gyro and (ordered by accident due to a dodgy phone line and a bit of confusion on my part in ordering) lemon and oregano roast chicken and potatoes. The food was cooked to order so the two roasted potato dishes meant that we had a 30 minute wait - no problem for us but if ordering for delivery you should factor in that this is not really 'fast food'. A lot of the food had lost quite a bit of heat by the time I got it home on a very cold January night so a quick blast in the microwave was needed to bring it back up to my wife's preferred temperature (two degrees hotter than lava). The food was delicious. The mpriam (oven-baked potatoes, zucchini, aubergines, tomatoes, onions and herbs) was a triumph and greatly enjoyed by all the veggies in our house. The chicken gyro pitta wrap was also really tasty and a welcome change from burgers etc. The lemon & oregano chicken was good but the potatoes surrounding were another star. Can't really comment on service as I was just collecting an order placed by phone but one of the owners whom I spoke to - George - was really friendly and seemed genuinely delighted with the great reception his new restaurant has had. I want to bring a Greek friend to get his views but one thing is for sure - we'll be back.
