I was glad I ordered the 12" as it was very moreish. My companions had the Manhattan Heat which, with the jalapeños, was hot as was the Nduja ordered by companion #3. The house basil pizza was the fourth. We had ordered garlic bread to share before the pizza arrived but it was served almost as the last pizza slices were being hoovered up. Not to worry - it got demolished anyway. One small peeve however. Whilst the BYO policy is very welcome, I felt the €7.50 charge per bottle is taking the proverbial, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. That said, a very good pizza in a cosy setting with friendly, attentive staff. Recommended.

Erm LOVED this place!!! We sat in the shed, all 11 of us, cosy as bugs in a rug. Aside from the smugness, you can also plug in your phone to play music, there's a gorgeo little stove for the winter time, lots of cushions and blankets, and there are seats going all the way round the table, so it's a super social space where you can chat with everyone at the same time. I haven't even gotten to the food yet - the pizzas are perfect - stone baked base, good quality toppings and very simple, no fuss. Only thing I would change would maybe adding in some extra sides / starters, like some different dipping sauces / side salads or starters etc. Oh and best of all, it's BYO! Winner!!

La La Poutine

My little Canadian heart was so happy to find out that there was a poutine food truck here in…read moreDublin. Poutine, for those who don't know is a Canadian delicacy. It originated in Quebec, but you can usually find all over the country. It combines three basic ingredients; fries (sorry I meant chips, you guys call them chips here), gravy, and cheese curds. All three ingredients are necessary for a traditional poutine. It might not sound appealing, and heck it might not look appealing, but it is delicious. It's also the perfect food to have after a enjoying a few beers. went and checked out La La Poutine at the Oktoberfest event down at the IFC. First thing I did when I got to the truck was ask if the poutine is made with cheese curds. This is the test to see how legit the potine is, because some people will call a dish poutine when it has shredded cheese or cheese sauce and that's just an assault on Canada as a nation (plus regular poutine is only good with cheese curds). Luckily this poutine was made with cheese curds, so I went ahead and ordered the traditional for €6. The gravy isn't like an onion gravy, but it's delicious and apparently vegetarian friendly as well. The cheese curds were good, although I wish they were a little squeakier (yeah cheese curds can squeak). The chips were chips and fried up right. All around it was a really nice poutine. Actually better than the poutine I've had back in my homecity of Edmonton. The food truck also had fun variations of poutine (if it's not a traditional poutine I'm okay with using sometihng other than cheese curds). For the Oktoberfest they had one with sasuage. I'm sure the variations change up a bit from where they are. This is a food truck, and one that moves aroud to different events, so the map marker here on Yelp might not be where they are right now. I'd check their Facebook or Twitter page to see where they'll be next. If I see this truck out and about again I'll defintitely be having another poutine.
