Found this business at the San Diego Vegan Night Market held every first Friday of the month off Alesmith Ct. in Miramar. We bought two burritos to share: Pollo and Kali (Steak) without guacamole. Found them at the Oceanside Sunset Market. This is a small operation - the chef and a person (her brother) taking the order. They let you know that there will be a wait as everything is cooked to order. My breakfast burrito - 7 minutes; kaliburrito - 15 minutes. People order and then go checkout the market. It was worth the wait - the burrito was fresh and hot. I got the green salsa which is hotter than the red. A delicious vegan burrito with oozing "cheese", flavorful soy chorizo, black beans, potatoes, and fresh onion and cilantro. I would like my potatoes a little more crispy/soft, but they were cooked through. Even my carnivore son liked it. So glad I tried them out. read more

I come here to the Leucadia farmers market every week for a vegan burrito. salsa is amazing of course and wonderful service.

My husband goes out of his way for burritos by VeggyJess. We will go wherever they are. I had just become vegan when I wrote the first review, but now I've been vegan a year and I was wrong with my lousy 4 stars. This is 5 star worthy food. Some of the best vegan food I've had. Delicious new vegan food vendor at the Oceanside sunset market. I got to try their birria caldo and it was delicious! It had lots of flavor and a nice amount of spice. We also tried their mulitas packed with cheese made with a soy meat base. Their corn tortillas are handmade and delicious! You can really taste and see the difference. These are nice and thick! I really enjoyed both dishes and would definitely return for those alone. They had other items on the menu: portobello pretzel burger, a meatball sub, and seasonally, the tinga. Food is so delicious!!!! I have tried the mulitas made with hand made tortillas. The salsa is amazing so flavorful. I also tried the kali wrap so good. I want to leave a 5 star review because the service is great and the food delicious. But there are some issues with getting the food out. This is an outdoor stall at a farmers market. I like to go and get breakfast from one of the many hot food vendors before doing my shopping. They have a sign politely asking you to be patient because your food is being made to order. When I ordered I was warned it would be 15 minutes so I finished my coffee, scoped out some produce vendors and came back. After 25 minutes I asked about my food and it still wasn't ready. It took 30-35 minutes to get my food. I think this was mainly because of the potatoes in my breakfast wrap as they were cooked just enough. If these lovely ladies want more business doing more prep work and limiting choices so they can cook more efficiently on site might help. But they regularly sell out of things so they might be as busy as they want to be. Also I was surprised when my wrap looked like an oversized taco. Seating is very limited and I ordered a wrap so I could walk and eat. That was impossible. Definetly ordering the burrito next time. I will be back because the flavors are amazeballs. I'll just plan a little better to deal with the wait. read more

Only tried the Mulitas today, but it was delicious! I saw the PPB and will have to try that next time. Fun to watch the tortillas being made to order. Super cheesy flavor and the asada meat was perfect-- the fresh lemon adds a nice brightness to the flavor of the 'sandwich', too. I really like the salsa, but it is in the spicy side (the mild-salsa lovers are forewarned). Really friendly service. Loved it! read more

I discovered this place at Vista farmer's market on Saturday, and I tried the Breakfast Mulitas. I ordered it to go, and when I got home the food was cold, but it was SO delicious!! So imagine having it on the spot when it's still sizzling hot!!! The Breakfast Mulitas has mozzarella cheese in it; I cannot believe they are vegan!!! It tastes like real cheese!
