Too good to be true. veggie crust uses their own housemade dough, sauces, breads, and nice creams. i love that their passion for food, quality, and veganism really shines through in their establishment. for pizza i'd recommend the Paneer Tikka Barbeque (Chefs special barbeque sauce, marinated paneer, red onion, fresh cilantro, fresh garlic, fresh ginger)--this is made without traditional red sauce but packs tons of flavor!! it's perfect for the winter cuz this pizza has so much body and feels very warming. another one i'd recommend is the Curry leaf pesto (pistachio pesto, portabella mushroom, mozzarella, diced tomatoes, fresh garlic)--it's available vegetarian or vegan and uses pistachio in place of pine nuts in their pesto!! what a great way to add more texture, flavor, and protein! for sides, i'd recommend zucchini sticks and broccoli cheese bites this is probably the only place on earth that sells homemade vegan pizza and also fresh green juice lol!! if you're adventurous, i'd recommend the Green Coriander (broccoli, cucumber, green bell pepper, spring fresh coriander, agave, fresh lime). Friend and I came for dinner today, and we shared a medium vegan eggplant pizza. It was $14.99 plus $3 extra to make it vegan. The pizza was a little soft but overall really good, and as a lactose intolerant human I really appreciated having vegan options. I've been wanting to try this place for months because their menu looks so delish and I'm vegan and have celiac. We finally made it and sadly, i wasn't happy. My wife ordered the paneer tikka pizza and she really liked it. We split an order of the spicy fries, which were delish, and the sauce was amazing. I ordered a white vegan gluten free pizza. It took a long time to come out, but I'm used to gluten free pizzas taking a while. I took two bites and thought it was pretty good. Then the employee came over and let me know there's been a mistake- the sauce wasn't vegan. I didn't freak out, mistakes happen. Though I am 35 weeks pregnant, vegan, and have a lactose intolerance so i was worried, but hoped two bites wouldn't be too harsh on my system. We ended up waiting (again) forever for my pizza to be made correctly. It wasn't the best. The white sauce is extremely coconuty- it's all i could taste and smell. The cheese is daiya, definitely not high quality. We got our bill and were stunned. I was charged $3 extra for gluten free and an additional $2 for it to be vegan. This is a vegetarian place so to be charged extra for making something vegan, AND to have been given the wrong pizza, which I'm allergic to, AND having to had wait so long is not cool. After serving me something that could make me sick, and after making us wait such a ridiculously long time , i would have expected at least discount on the pizza - definitely not two up charges. My wife did enjoy her pizza, but also agreed that it was not worth $15. We both would have much rather spent $40 on a lunch where the food was better and customer service existed. read more

If you're a veg that misses having Hawaiian pizza, try out their Hawaiian Manchurian Pizza and make sure to add jalapenos (it's an option on their menu and you won't regret it). I've been wanting to try this place since it opened last year. There are only a couple tables inside and a few seats in the bar area but it wasn't crowded when we got there. I went for the Vegan Bolognese Penne-- pretty simple but very good. They also accompanied it with their version of cheesy garlic bread. It was made with vegan cheese but it wasn't bad! My sister got the Corn Avocado Panini and no complaints there either. We will be sure to come back to try the pizzas! read more

Ugh fail alert. As a vegan I was so excited to see that this place opened. And I was going to start being healthy today but I really had a bad day so I just decided to start tomorrow and tonight I would start with vegan pizza. So I called the restaurant around 2 o'clock on a Wednesday to find out what delivery service they use. I wanted to make sure that they could deliver to Boston. And when I called I specified that and then they said just use the online system on their website because they deliver through a lot of different delivery services including GrubHub. So at 4 p.m. before I left work I scheduled an order on their online system to be delivered on or around 5:15 p.m. At 5 p.m. my phone rings and I'm all excited thinking that maybe my pizza came a little bit early. They called me and we're all confused about what kind of sauce I wanted on my custom Pizza. Well given that it's rush hour now and I am in Boston and this place is in Somerville I knew that this would never get here before 6 o'clock because they hadn't even made it yet. So I said to the person that called me why he was calling me now when I put the order in an hour ago. I gave him the details about how I called specifically to ask about delivery earlier in the day and how my order specifies that it would be delivered at 5:15 or around that time. He just continue to ask me about what kind of sauce I wanted. At this point I was so annoyed that Not only was I not going to have a pizza that I was looking forward to but also that this Place didn't think to call me an hour ago when I put the order in. Essentially with a 15-minute baking time added going from Somerville to Boston at rush hour I knew I was looking at a two hour time frame for a single Pizza. I told the person who called me to just cancel my order and refund my money. I'm so annoyed. I thought by calling ahead and asking for specifics about delivery and then ordering well in advance of any kind of Rush and also getting a time frame delivery before rush hour really kicked in that I would be in the clear. I also received the confirmation email telling me that the delivery time would be 5:15 p.m. Nope. Annoyed. I give up. At this rate this place could be the same story as Peace O Pie. read more

It's a vegan pizza place owned by the same people as Dosa n' Curry next door. I don't go here for diet reasons, but rather because it's delicious and convenient. Pizzas I can vouch for: paneer tikka masala, bbq tikka masala, pesto portobello, and fresh tomato mozzarella pizzas. All were outstanding! Great crust and creative options. I'd encourage the owners to keep experimenting. Only downside is that a two person large pie is $20 take-out... maybe a few bucks high, but understandable given the location and very forgivable if they keep up their 11pm weeknight closing time. The only place where we can get Indian style pizza. They have lot of options!! I have tasted almost all the panner and cauliflower pizza's. Really great pizza in a very casual, no frills setting. The service is so-so but the owners and staff are very friendly. They have many different pizzas to choose from and sandwiches, salads, and juices as well. For dessert, they offer a variety of non-dairy ice creams which I will have to try during my next visit. We had the garden veggie Manchurian. The Manchurian sauce was unbelievable and the veggies were on point. They have a nice variety of interesting pizzas, many of which have Indian flavors. We enjoyed our pizza. It was really satisfying after beers at Aeronaut. However, I was a bit disappointed with the toppings, as the tomatoes weren't very fresh or flavorful. My biggest complaint is the vegan surcharge. While most pizzas can be veganized, it costs $3 extra to do so, so this becomes a really expensive pizza - between $20 and $25 depending on what you order. While I understand that vegan cheese is more expensive, it's hard to imagine that Daiya costs *that* much more, unless their standard pizzas use really cheap cheese. The pricing makes it unaffordable for vegans, and it's strange to have such a large surcharge at a veggie establishment. read more

We are in town for a couple days and wanted pizza- and we're vegan so we were thinking perfect! The host was really sweet and a great waitress. We ordered the the Garden Veggie Manchurian Pizza with half daiya cheese and half w/o cheese and the first piece of the daiya cheese was good and pretty melty unexpectedly, i was pleasantly surprised. We don't normally eat daiya cheese at all let alone on pizza but I wanted to try it out one more time cause i was feelin cheesey. My boyfriend liked the half of the pizza without the cheese and I did too after the first slice I had. I liked the vegan Avocado Corn Salad but my boyfriend wasn't really feeling it. We had the vegan ice cream for dessert and it was like a slushy- very Icy and not creamy, but the flavor was there. Everything we had was pretty decent but nothing to write home about. read more

I'm a huge pizza lover but this took it to another level. I have never had Indian Pizza before Veggie Crust and now I'm in love.

The ambience is a really nice. A great place for college students and want to try something new. Strong flavors and reminds me of home. Indian style pizza was my craving for a very long time and this place is the spot for it. Very good variety of vegetarian pizza. Alcohol is not served here and non alcoholic drinks option is very limited. To conclude this, a home for veggie lovers and the place for people trying to eat something new. read more

I'm sad to write this review, because their pizza is really good! I was hosting a bunch of coworkers at my house yesterday, so I ordered the pizza ahead (placed my order around 12:15) to be delivered at 6:30. At 5:20, they call me and ask if I want it now. Ok...so they made a mistake and prepared the order early. I was frustrated, but explained that I would not be home until the desired time and that I wanted to ensure I would have FRESH pizza. Flash forward to 6; they call me saying, "I'm here with your delivery." What part of "please bring my pizza at the requested time" did they not understand?!?!? I was still at work and was very frustrated that they failed to follow the request to have my pizza delivered when I asked (twice now). I asked them to please come back at 6:30. The pizza finally arrived at 6:45 and was only slightly warm. It still tasted good, but the absolute inability to follow simple delivery instructions was really aggravating. So good!! We sat on the Dosa 'n' Curry side of the restaurant but ordered mostly from veggie crust. I think it's a cool touch that you can do that so you can enjoy some Indian apps before your pizza. I loved both the paneer tikka and the curry-leaf pesto portobello pizzas. It was just the right amount of Indian flare while keeping the integrity of being a pizza. The crust was great. It was completely dead at 6:30pm on Saturday which is never a great sign but the pizza came through. As a vegetarian it can get tiring searching for unique pizza options so this place is great. I had the avocado salad to start - way too much dressing but luckily the dressing was delicious.
