As far as the office staff, they are as clueless as teenager at a fast food chain. They know nothing of the area, such as the #1 attraction of river rafting or tubing, nor are they willing to help. They appear to be a bunch of retired people who are just working enough to get a free stay for a month or two, and don't really care. Unfortunately, summer is the hottest part of the year, and the on site water park feature for the kids, was out of order. In addition, the pool hours are cut off at 8pm. This is not convenient for people who are on vacation, and paying for the use of such amenities. Not impressed at all.

We have a 24ft bumper pull and the back in site was easy to do by myself. Has 50, 30 and 20A connections. They had a place to fill up fresh water tank. No dump station yet but they're awaiting permits to build. Store has wood and some treats and medicine. Tom and Tina were wonderful camp hosts. Got last minute reservations on the 4th! Nestled next to a creek that flows into the crystal river the spot is gorgeous. Close to some world class fishing, tubing and water skiing in Paonia Reservoir. Not your thing? Well it's half an hour from wine country where you can visit and do tasting tours of the moment n pop wineries. You're right on the edge of BLM land and national forest. You're 30 minutes from Marble and the world class Crystal Mill hike.

So they're lying to try to make customers upgrade for an unnecessary cost. They should be embarrassed. It was super easy to check in and they were kind enough to let us check in early (11:45am) They do offer cabin rentals, RV sites and tent sites. Our Site: We got a tent site and it was pretty big. A bit bigger than the rest and it was perfect for our party of 4. You can only bring one tent and it has to be on the tent pad so extra tents or any tents placed other than the tent pad are not allowed. Which was a huge bummer. We were 2 couples with 2 tents and had to purchase a bigger tent to fit all of us in it to fit on the pad. All in all we made it work. Parking: You have to register all vehicles that are staying in the campsite and only one car is allowed per site, which is somewhat of an inconvenience. Any extra vehicles are $5 more. We were told to park the extra vehicle in the extra parking spaces that were far away from our site. Bathrooms and Showers: They only have Male and Female bathrooms and showers an no gender neutral bathrooms or showers, so it can be very uncomfortable for masculine presenting women to go to the bathroom. They did say they had just remodeled the entire place so they completely missed the opportunity to be more inclusive. However, the bathrooms were very clean, and the showers were really nice. We did bring our own bathroom tent to avoid any type of uncomfortable encounters when having to use the little girls room and were told we could not have it bc they were trying to grow grass and any bodily fluids would be harmful to the soil. So we had to put our toilet away :( Each site has a fire pit and the camp ground offers wifi and a little convenient store. They do come around every other hour or so on their golf-cars selling fire wood and making sure everyone is following the rules. I honestly loved this place and would come back. The town's nearby are gorgeous and the staff here is super nice.

We came from 6 nights in the mountains and spent 1 night in our rooftop tent on an electric river…read moresite. It was the perfect spot in Palisade. The bathhouse was very clean and convenient. One side of the building had men and women restrooms with showers. The other side had family bathrooms with one toilet, one shower, and one sink. The bathhouse was air conditioned which was very appreciated! It was hot out!!! While we were sitting around our firebox campfire, staff rolled up on a golf cart with fresh peaches to try that were picked that day. That was a nice surprise!

Staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. Loved the free coffee in the morning and their convenient store was very convenient and well stocked. Showers were always clean. There are real cherry trees along the property line.. I snuck a couple handfuls. I would like to see the tent camp site get a real bathroom but the port a potty was very very clean. Cleanest ones I've ever been in. They are located pretty close to downtown palisade. We walked like a mile to the bike rental shop. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Get ready for rules, rules, rules. I have been traveling for 2 years and have never seen so many…read morerule signs about every little thing. From the pool, to the bathroom, to the playground, yet no one abides by any and I can't blame them for how much it costs. There are A LOT of sports teams that come through here and they are terrible. They let their kids do anything, run around and destroy things and run through your campground. This place is the most expensive place I have been, well over $1600 a month plus power if you should happen to stay longer than anticipated and they STILL charge for some kid activities..like how is that not included?! $2 for rock painting, $1 for ice cream socials and ALWAYS have a tip jar out. They nickel and dime you for everything and won't tell you about it until after. Anything after 45 days here they charge you $5 per DAY for mail service. I didn't know til after. Their store is extremely overpriced to be expected. Bathroom toilets never work. The showers you only get for 15 minutes..there is a timer that beeps every minute which is quite stressful. The pool, hot tub and splash pad are always being worked on and in repairs. This place is far from a resort, stay away. I do not recommend and won't be putting any positives today.

If you want a Colorado Rocky Mountian experience that feels like you're a world away but only 10 minutes from the market, we can't recommend this one of a kind retreat enough!

The room seemed dirty, the dryers seemed dirty. The whole room needs some attention and love. I don't think we'll be traveling thru Glenwood Springs again, but you never know .... if we do, we'll be sure to reserve a campsite at Elk Creek Campground!

We love that it's walking distance to the Amphitheater and the accommodations are very clean and well maintained. The community center area is such a nice touch for a place to hang out. Two really cool features about this place are its proximity to the Amplitheater and it being along the river and river trail sidewalk that goes for apx 15 miles to Fruita. Additionally, the campground offers Airstreams and Cabins along the water for rent in the event you don't have your own RV. If I lived anywhere near here I'd book a reservation to stay anytime a band came in town I wanted to see and avoid the hassle of trying to get home post concert.
