Had a fine night for one night on our way back home…read more Hotel was clean. The bed was comfortable. We used the app for the key and check in as we were arriving late. That was really nice and convenient. There was a breakfast at the hotel. However if you are gluten free and/or vegan there is not anything there for you. But there was hot food available. Felt the hotel was plenty comfortable and modern. Was easy to get in and out of parking lot. Would come back if I were in the area again.

This place is crazy. We are part of the Hilton family and stay at a lot of Hampton Inns so we are…read morefamiliar with the service we can expect at a Hampton Inn: comfy beds, great breakfast, etc. Hampton Inn Rifle has got to be the WORST HI we have ever stayed at. Where shall I start: *SOMEONE'S DIRTY UNDERWEAR: We checked in and she gave us a room on the 4th floor. As soon as we walked in, I noticed the sheets were a bit wrinkled. I asked my kids if they sat on the beds and they said no. As I was unloaded out suitcases off the luggage cart, that's when I saw it: IS THAT SOMEONE'S UNDERWEAR RIGHT BESIDE THE TV STAND? Yes it is.. GROSS! *STINKY SHEETS: Once I saw the underwear I knew the place hadn't been cleaned. I picked up a pillow and took a whiff: EWW.. head sweat, like someone took a hike and went to sleep. That means whoever cleaned this room just remade the bed. Double gross. We went downstairs and I asked for a different floor altogether as whoever cleaned the fourth floor has failed. We were moved to the third floor and I did a sniff test and it seemed decent. The only issue we had was with the tub's water spout: when we pulled the leaver up for the shower, half the water was still spewing out the main faucet... so wasteful! But then we moved on to breakfast: *EGGS, SAUSAGE, POTATOES: So far so good. This platter of food was decent. *WAFFLES: That hot basic breakfast item what is expected was completely gone. No waffles for you! *ORANGE JUICE: None. No OJ. Just apple and the Tropical Mango 'juice' tasted like colored water. Horrible experience, dirty rooms, breakfast was a fail. This Hampton Inn should not be considered as part of the Hilton family AT ALL. We will NOT be coming back to this Hampton Inn nor do we recommend staying here. Someone from Hilton needs to come to this location and do an expectation check as this location completely fails all requirements of what the Hilton hotels represent.

I am sure they have great accommodations, but I travel with a service dog. I made a reservation…read morewith Booking.com for the end of March and noted that I would be traveling with a service dog. I received a message from the property that they do not allow pets. Perhaps the booking service failed to state he is a service dog. I am not sure of the reason, but I did cancel the reservation. Typically, when hotels do not accept pets, and you show up with a service dog they will sell you a room, but the attitude is there. Not saying the Gateway Lodge would have an attitude; however, I didn't want to push it as I plan on moving to the area.

This was the second time we stayed here in the last year. Prices have risen significantly during…read morethat time, by about 20%. It is conveniently located in the center of town. The included breakfast was quite good for a budget hotel, with lots of hot choices including scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, and fresh made waffles. There is hot water for tea, coffee, and fresh juices. The room itself was small and had good amenities including a refrigerator, TV, and a well constructed bathroom. Temperature is controlled via a rather loud wall mounted A/C unit. The only other option is opening windows. Unfortunately, I'd have to say that the floor was more comfortable to sleep on than the bed. It had a massive bowl/divot in the center which put me in a very awkward and painful position. I was unable to get to sleep until I moved to the floor. Given the increased prices and the poor condition of the beds, it's unlikely that I'll return in the future.

Needed a place on short notice for one night. One camping cabin available for a reasonable rate…read more Bathroom right next to it. Very clean. A/C worked great. Ceiling fans. Small refrigerator. View of a steam right in front of the cabin. Picnic table and two outdoor chairs. Trash container nearby. Ladies on the phone were very nice and helpful. Staff outside directing arrivals were also very nice. Location is close to the highway so having a white noise machine was perfect. Slept well and bed was comfortable. There were also a set of bunk beds and a futon. Nothing negative at all. Highly recommend.

Didn't sleep at all. I stayed a week, and it actually got worse on the weekend... There are several…read moreissues with this place, but the trains that run between 1am - 5am, compounded with the illegal drag racing (EXTREMELY LOUD BURN OUTS) will scare anyone out of a deep slumber. As far as the office staff, they are as clueless as teenager at a fast food chain. They know nothing of the area, such as the #1 attraction of river rafting or tubing, nor are they willing to help. They appear to be a bunch of retired people who are just working enough to get a free stay for a month or two, and don't really care. Unfortunately, summer is the hottest part of the year, and the on site water park feature for the kids, was out of order. In addition, the pool hours are cut off at 8pm. This is not convenient for people who are on vacation, and paying for the use of such amenities. Not impressed at all.
