I've stayed in three different rooms now, and every single one has been spotless with a lovely view. The amenities are incredibly convenient--having the washer and dryer right there in the lobby area is a lifesaver. The indoor pool is also a highlight; it's a beautiful, bright area with windows all around it. Most importantly, they are exceptionally pet-friendly. My dogs feel very comfortable here, and there is a great, convenient area to walk them. At least you can opt out and eat elsewhere. We only stopped here because it was getting late and we wanted to say we spent the night in Parachute, Co. But once you've stopped your mind says your tired, just stay. The room was clean and for an older place it was quite comfortable. Two queen sized beds that didn't bother the back and an excellent bath-which had a powerful shower. T.V. was nice and easy to operate even though the cable package sucked, you can't have it all. Besides, after driving for ten hours, nobody was awake to watch it. I bet you can figure this out. There was no fridge, but a freezer. Good thing we didn't put the insulin in there. Come morning, the leftover Jets pizza was not edible for at least an hour. The nice lady (Lori?) popped up a bag of corn, surprisingly at no charge and also had complimentary coffee pods. Mrs. E. had an apple cider. Strange, but, we would consider coming back. Especially, if we had more energy to use the pool and sauna. 05/24

We checked in, got our maps and information and headed to our room that I actually recognize another Yelp Elite stayed at! The bathroom was super adorable with a white mirror smiling back at us and the heater would operate every 15 mikes or so and warmed up our room. Although spotless, the "clean" smell was incredibly strong and we did prop open the windows. We were surrounded by lots of restaurants and town life. Our sole purpose was to visit the ice caves of Rifle and Western Star Inn was perfect, because this was just that place where we'd sleep and leave out the door early morning. Western Star Inn had breakfast all the way until 11:00am, that we took advantage of! It was mostly a continental breakfast style, filled with snacks and no drinks. We got hard boiled eggs, laughing cow cheese, apples, yogurt etc., and out the door we go for adventure. We did get a coupon for 15% off for the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, and we also slept very comfortably in our beds. Overall a really pleasant stay. We got to make friends with Laura (or Lauren?) front desk reception and her husband. We thought their customer service was splendid. On the door there was a sign making sure we turned off any appliances, and it continued to list a few appliances like an iron and a coffee maker, but there wasn't an iron OR a coffee maker in the room. Most of the outlets on the room didn't work, or had really bad staining on them I didn't even want to put my personal charger in it. The beds felt okay, not the best but also not the worst. The TV wouldn't work with the remote or the actual buttons, and had fingerprints all over it. The bathroom was very dirty, as there were black stains all over the shower floor and walls. The showerhead itself was crusted over with a speckled white paste, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The toilet was the cleanest thing about the bathroom, which that too had stains on it. The staff said a breakfast came with the room, but when I walked down for breakfast it was on a card table in the lobby that was placed in plastic storage containers. The food itself didn't look good enough to eat, as they were individually wrapped, but it looked as if someone tried to unwrap them but changed their mind. We had to go get breakfast somewhere else. There was a tiny gym downstairs (for people 18+) which also appeared to be quite dirty. The staff was nice, which was the only good part about this hotel, but the staff wasn't enough to put this rating above a one-star review. The area around the hotel was pretty sketchy, as there was a dispensary and multiple people looking around as if they were guilty of something. If you're staying in Parachute or the surrounding area, I would highly not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Where shall I start: *SOMEONE'S DIRTY UNDERWEAR: We checked in and she gave us a room on the 4th floor. As soon as we walked in, I noticed the sheets were a bit wrinkled. I asked my kids if they sat on the beds and they said no. As I was unloaded out suitcases off the luggage cart, that's when I saw it: IS THAT SOMEONE'S UNDERWEAR RIGHT BESIDE THE TV STAND? Yes it is.. GROSS! *STINKY SHEETS: Once I saw the underwear I knew the place hadn't been cleaned. I picked up a pillow and took a whiff: EWW.. head sweat, like someone took a hike and went to sleep. That means whoever cleaned this room just remade the bed. Double gross. We went downstairs and I asked for a different floor altogether as whoever cleaned the fourth floor has failed. We were moved to the third floor and I did a sniff test and it seemed decent. The only issue we had was with the tub's water spout: when we pulled the leaver up for the shower, half the water was still spewing out the main faucet... so wasteful! But then we moved on to breakfast: *EGGS, SAUSAGE, POTATOES: So far so good. This platter of food was decent. *WAFFLES: That hot basic breakfast item what is expected was completely gone. No waffles for you! *ORANGE JUICE: None. No OJ. Just apple and the Tropical Mango 'juice' tasted like colored water. Horrible experience, dirty rooms, breakfast was a fail. This Hampton Inn should not be considered as part of the Hilton family AT ALL. We will NOT be coming back to this Hampton Inn nor do we recommend staying here. Someone from Hilton needs to come to this location and do an expectation check as this location completely fails all requirements of what the Hilton hotels represent.
