I figured out why this place is on Railroad Ave. There's a…read more$14 parking fee they don't tell you about online, you won't know this until your checking in. Never heard of this before? Feeling railroaded? You must go back to your car and put this bright pink parking pass on your dash or I guess they'll tow you. It's another $15-$16 for a continental breakfast in the morning. At least you can opt out and eat elsewhere. We only stopped here because it was getting late and we wanted to say we spent the night in Parachute, Co. But once you've stopped your mind says your tired, just stay. The room was clean and for an older place it was quite comfortable. Two queen sized beds that didn't bother the back and an excellent bath-which had a powerful shower. T.V. was nice and easy to operate even though the cable package sucked, you can't have it all. Besides, after driving for ten hours, nobody was awake to watch it. I bet you can figure this out. There was no fridge, but a freezer. Good thing we didn't put the insulin in there. Come morning, the leftover Jets pizza was not edible for at least an hour. The nice lady (Lori?) popped up a bag of corn, surprisingly at no charge and also had complimentary coffee pods. Mrs. E. had an apple cider. Strange, but, we would consider coming back. Especially, if we had more energy to use the pool and sauna. 05/24

The staff was welcoming and went out of their way to make the kids feel special with treats and gifts. The pool was perfect for our daughter to burn off some energy after a long day in the car.

Even though check-in wasn't until 3:00 PM that afternoon, they let me check in right then and there without hesitation so I could get my son ready for school. I've stayed in three different rooms now, and every single one has been spotless with a lovely view. The amenities are incredibly convenient--having the washer and dryer right there in the lobby area is a lifesaver. The indoor pool is also a highlight; it's a beautiful, bright area with windows all around it. Most importantly, they are exceptionally pet-friendly. My dogs feel very comfortable here, and there is a great, convenient area to walk them. If you're looking for a place that offers true comfort, cleanliness, and a staff that actually cares about their guests, this is it.

Upon registering, I was told that there would be a $12 charge for parking! Twelve bucks! In Parachute?!! Why I asked. The lady said, "Well, that's what they're doing in Denver." I walked out. I drove on and stayed in Meeker, which was much more pleasant, and charging to park in the Motel lot wasn't even a thought. I refuse to be gouged for parking in a town with no more people in it than live on my block back home. DON'T GET SUCKED INTO THIS SCAM. Grand River is taking advantage of travelers, and they should be ashamed of themselves. Never have I seen such blatant thievery. Absolutely disgusting. It's a bad business decision. Besides, who wants to do what Denver does. They can't even field a good football team.

The owner was incredibly attentive from check-in through our entire stay, making us feel genuinely welcomed. The beds were comfortable, and the small patio opening onto the grassy area was such a wonderful bonus--perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee or unwinding in the evening. It was peaceful, quiet, and absolutely delightful. My only hesitation in writing this review is that it might be fully booked the next time I want to stay! We will definitely be back.

I really like this style of hotel. It feels like a mix between a traditional hotel and an Airbnb. Airbnbs have become so expensive, and while regular hotels are convenient, you still have to park, go through the building, take the elevator, and walk down the hall to your room. Here, you can park right outside your door and walk straight in, which made traveling so much easier. The outdoor area was a nice bonus, especially if you're traveling with a dog. There's a grassy area with waste bags, a fire pit, and cornhole boards, making it a relaxing place to hang out. It was very pet-friendly. My only suggestions would be to add blackout curtains, as the room gets bright early in the morning, and we did notice a few gnats in the bathroom, which I assume were coming from the drains. Neither issue was a dealbreaker, though. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

The location is excellent - it was just two small blocks from the restaurant we planned to have dinner at so we were able to walk over. The hotel is welcoming and has a multi-faceted lobby area with individual seating for people needing privacy while they work, casual seating with tables, food for sale and even a pool table. They also have a workout room. Lots of amenities just on the first floor. Our room (403) was clean and comfortable. But I was woken up numerous times during the night to footsteps overhead and general settling noises from the rooms around me. Bottom line...the walls and ceilings/floors are paper thin. This is the reason for my rating. Aside from this, the place is excellent. So if you sleep hard and would enjoy all the amenities and location, this is the hotel for you.
