We recently purchased our first electric vehicle and wanted to have a faster, more powerful way of charging it at home. We needed an electrician to install it, at after a few fruitless contacts with others, I contacted Vega. I spoke to Alphonso, and he was very cordial and easy to communicate with. We set up a day for him to come and see what we needed, and he was just as nice in person as he was over the phone. He was very knowledgeable, and his price was very good, so we agreed for him to come in 2 weeks to do the installation. He arrived promptly with 2 assistants, and they we finished in 2 or 3 hours. Alfonso is a five star electrician. I was his helper (I held a few things) on installing a light in kitchen and a light outside. The job to install both lights took only an hour. His price per light was more than reasonable and I saw him do the work which was first rate rather than mickey mouse. He doesn't take short cuts. A couple weeks earlier he diagnosed my instant hot water device issue and replaced the caps with better ones which is important for a device that has both electricity and water going through it. You know you found a great contractor when they work on your project like it was their own home. That's just one reason I'm thrilled with the work Vega Electrical did on our house. The point of attachment pole needed to be moved to correct a problem. My first pleasant surprise was when Alfonso showed up on time to look at the job and give me a bid. (How often have you waited and waited for someone to show up?) Once I gave the go-ahead, he handled getting a pipe bent to specifications. And a last minute hiccup was averted because Alfonso TOOK THE INITIATIVE to call DWP and keep things on schedule. My next happy surprise was when he and his helper arrived on a Saturday morning BEFORE they were scheduled to be here. The work they performed was highly professional, very neatly done and finished out looking very nice. I daresay I now have the best looking point of attachment pole on my block. He added additional reinforcements to tie the panel to the house more securely, and even patched an existing hole in the stucco left by previous electrical work. After over 10 years of our loyalty to Vega Electric and Alfonso decides to just completely stop servicing our 14 rental units and completely stops communication. Why? Because I questioned Alfonso as to why I had to replace a 1.5 year old light fixture and a 2 year old timer which he installed. My family has owned these rentals for over 55 years...I have light fixtures and timers which are about 35 years old still working. Wouldn't anyone question their replacement after 1.5 and 2 years new respectively? We aren't slum-lords...we never go for the cheapest... For Alphonso NOT to respond to any of my communications after our loyalty to him of over 10 years is very unprofessional. Maybe it was the 10 dual smoke/carbon monoxide detectors he recently installed which already needed replacing that he didn't want to deal with. That's okay...I just wish I would have found out sooner how he deals with things when his shot-y work goes bad. read more

We had a Tankless water heater installed in July 2016 and the plumber contracted with Vega Electrical and had them come out to install an electrical outlet for the Tankless unit. They arrived on time and did the work! A little difficult to get through the foundation of the house and make it look nice - but they did it! I've used Vega electrical for many projects at my house. Recently they installed motion lights from my attic to the rear of the house and connected my hot tub.
