Just the facts: Vector Security bought out our previous security company's contracts for both our home and business.
At the business: (1) I had paid the previous company on a yearly basis until December. When Vector took over, they billed me for November and December ($30.00/month). When I phoned to say that I had paid by the year and was paid until December, I was told that the "old company" got that money, and I now owed Vector for those 2 months. Eventually, I realized that I would not win the argument and paid. (2) Their equipment failed constantly, and although it was not our fault, they charged a lot of money to fix it. We cancelled with them on 02/01/19 without a problem.
At our home: (1) I also cancelled on 02/01/19. I sent both cancellation letters to Vector in the same email. I received a bill from Vector for the year and when I phoned them, I was told that my contract was until November 2019. I explained that I had phoned them back in January and was told that I could cancel my service with a signed letter. They said that they had received the letter for our business but had not received it for our home. I also wanted a refund for the months Vector did not provide service. Was told no refunds and that I was lucky they would not make me pay until November. (2) We would set off our alarm accidentally and they would never call us to check on us. This happened many times. read more
