COVID-19 Review: I've been here a couple times now since they have a large, dog-friendly patio with appropriately spaced tables and outdoor TVs. I'm not a beer drinker, but their wine list is great -- their house white (Mohua sauv blanc) is actually a favorite of mine as far as whites go, and the Tribute cab is fantastic as well. Also, their pizzas have a really interesting and tasty sourdough crust. So, three stars for all of that. The potential is there, for sure. However, they've got a lot of room for improvement -- possibly because they're new and opened in the middle of the pandemic, so I'll cut them a little slack. But a few things: FOOD: - The dip trio comes with breadsticks that are too soft and puffy to scoop or hold dip (at least the olive tapenade and diced tomatoes) on top. So it ended up being an awkward adventure of using a fork to carefully balance some dip on a breadstick and try to get it to your mouth before it falls off, or just eating straight forkfuls of dip, which is less than appealing and defeats the purpose of a "dip" trio. - Same issue for the charcuterie board. Little meat slices (clearly intended as pizza toppings, nothing fancy) do not balance on top of soft, puffy breadsticks. Also, why is this board served with fully a quarter of the tray being a pile of undressed lettuce that doesn't even appear to be intended for eating? - The mac and cheese is served dumped onto a tray, making it vaguely reminiscent of a pig trough. A bowl would go a long way toward making this look like an actual menu item rather than kitchen leftovers. - No one in our group has been particularly blown away by the menu pizzas, aside from the crust being delicious. I created a make-your-own pizza that actually was selected as the taste winner from everyone in our group: added gouda, caramelized onions, basil, chorizo, and fig sauce. Heads up: the chorizo is served in slices, not crumbles. - If you don't want pizza or mac & cheese, your options are super limited. I've heard the salads (I think there are two VERY basic ones on the menu) aren't worth ordering. That leaves, um...nothing, unless you want to eat forkfuls of olive tapenade for dinner. - They have some sort of dessert thing that's basically cinnamon-sugar coated breadstick balls. You'd think this would be amazing, but somehow it doesn't quite work, possibly because the sourdough is a really strong flavor, and there's more cinnamon-sugar on the tray than on the dough. OTHER: - Given that a lot of us are trying to avoid indoor spaces right now, it would be nice if they'd take orders at the tables rather than making you go inside every time you want another drink. Also would be nice if they'd bring checks out and let you pay from your table, because that's yet another trip inside. - Dog friendly apparently means dogs are welcome, but either bring your own water bowl or prepare to have your dog drink from a cup. - On my first visit, they asked if I wanted to sign up for their points program, and I said sure. On my second visit, there was no mention of a points program; not sure if I got "credit" for that visit or not. There was never any explanation as to how the point system works (do I need to tell them I'm signed up each time?) or what it gets you. read more

Good pizza, too many kids running around it's like Chuck E. Cheese. Service has always been nice, but it's too loud to even hold a conversation. Packed to the brim with babies crying and barefoot kids running amok as their millennial parents attempt to relive their youth with beer and wine. Even if I had kids I wouldn't find this experience enjoyable. I don't know why anyone comes to a brewery and thinks "yup this is perfect for the soccer team" but this is that place. read more

Such a beautiful place, but NOT WORTH the $60 bill! This was my first time going and I was so excited, been wanting to go since I first saw it. The things I didnt like is that: -you have to seat yourself and no one from staff lets you even know where to get utensils. - the person who took our order, didnt even know about the menu and items. -the menu inside the restaurant is SO unprofessional! It had pieces of papers covwring menu items and you dont even know where to read. - they take forever to clear other tables. -the place wasnt even full and they told us that the food was going to take about 30-45 mins to come out. - not a big selection of non alcoholic drinks. Other important part: the food: Was not great at all, it wasnt horrible but you could eat better and cheaper someplace else. My 5 year old could not eat the kids pizza, the cheese and sauce where super runny. The taste was very bland. I had fettucine alfredo, it wasnt bad but for the $12, the portion is small and the presentation was bad, not even a piece of bread on the side. My husband had the calzone, was good but he got so frustrated that the only have a butter knife to cut it, he ended up taking home to eat it with a normal knife that would cut into it. Still great. If you don't like kids - don't come before kiddie curfew at 8pm. Beers are literally award winning (no seriously - look it up). And pizza is still fire. We went for the first time yesterday afternoon around 6:30. Completely understand the covid regulations but when we walked up to the counter to get the website to order food from the cashier drew back from us like I was going hit her or something. Though she stood right by Everton else the whole afternoon while delivering things to their table. This made us feel super uncomfortable right off the bat. When my husband went to order again the girl at the counter (short red hair in ponytail and bangs), after every single word he said she would say "is that all" before he could get much of anything out of his mouth and we had a decent order. Two drinks appetizer and pizza. We should have just left. They do not have regular ranch only super spicy jalapeño ranch. Our appetizer was fried onion strings but we only got a few actual strings off of it because it came out in just globs. When the pizza came out it was very bland. When we got another round of drinks we asked for one of the super spicy ranches to try to give the pizza some flavor. Our drinks came, but we had to wait a long time on the ranch. I went in to ask about it and the girl up front again was incredibly rude and condescending. I apologized profusely if I was rude to her in any way because I have no idea why we were being treated that way. Not a welcoming environment at all. read more

Fun place with a nice outdoor area. We were in the area and wanted to check out a new brewery and saw some good reviews so we landed here. The wait staff seem friendly and the food is pretty good, except for the fact that our pizza was supposed to come with a side of tzatziki and it didn't. We asked about it since the pizza was a little spicy for me and they said they were out (wish they would have told us this when we ordered the pizza!) so we asked if we could get a side of regular ranch and they told us no. A little disappointing there. Seems like a cool place but still some flaws to work out. read more

She hopped in a spade ship to travel to 2020, ordered either the 'Pesto Presto' or the 'Fine Swine' pizzas, and covered him in those. Her loss, what an idiot. Another member of our party noted Vectors food was like a sexy glitter leprechaun jerked off in their mouth and the product morphed into Italian food. When you combine together two of my favorite things - beer & pizza, how can you go wrong? Vector is amazing and has so many other great aspects that check off the list to make it our favorite local place to go. Great patio, kids "half pint" play area, delicious pizza, unique beers to tempt your palette, and ooh those brussys (brussels sprouts) are to die for! The pizzas are consistently delicious - our fave is the Petrillo. Then brunch adds another fun element on the weekends. I crave the Migas pizza - it's an amazing combination of delicious Vector sauce, chorizo, pico, tortilla strips, & a fried egg! Pair that with a beermosa and you've got a great start to the weekend or after kids soccer game reward (for the parents). Overall, hands down the best family spot to be in Lake Highlands. read more

Where should I begin....Good beer, yes, good pizza, yes! The Angry bee, add bacon, is a personal favorite. However, the quality of staff, poor. It wasn't always this way. We like to sit at the bar and usually there were competent, friendly, attentive bartenders but now, they look high AF and miserable. This place is full of a bunch of glassy eyed hippies. The only hustle you see is coming from the cooks making the pizza. Who's "managing" this joint?! Fire them and have a serious talk with your employees before you run off your clientele who want to support a local business! read more

Worst service I've ever experienced in any restaurant. We went here before a daddy/daughter dance. Ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza. After waiting 45 minutes, I went up to the bar to figure out where my order was. Wasn't acknowledged at all, it was as if I did not exist. So, I got in the order line and after waiting in that line for another 10 minutes I finally got somebody to acknowledge my existence. She went back to their iPad and scrolled and scrolled until she finally found my order they missed. She reached back and grabbed a cheese pizza and gave it to me. Which isn't what I ordered. But after waiting an hour for a pizza I took it. Also, no apology at all. Just here is your wrong order after waiting more than an hour for a 14 inch pizza. I understand things happen, but a little sorry could go a long way. We ended up being late to the dance. Wish I didn't have this gift card, otherwise I would never even consider going back. read more

Visited Vector for dinner and a drink on Saturday (6/11). We waited on the pizza we ordered for 40 minutes before checking on it at the front counter and were told that the order never made it to the kitchen and the kitchen was closing (even though we ordered 2 hours before Vector closed). We were never given any explanation from the cashier which is frustrating because the pizza was on our receipt, and we were charged for it. We were very thrown off by this experience as we've been here many times and had nothing but good things to say about the people, drinks, and food. It would be one thing to receive the incorrect order or for it to not taste well, but to never receive our order and be sent home hungry seems pretty unacceptable. read more

Love Vector brewing- great spot for brews and bites. My son and I stopped here for a beer and both agreed we will be back soon and often. Brussel sprouts and pizza are both ridiculous. The beers are all tasty, but Moonsmoke is what will keep me coming back- a smokey beer that is a mostly forgotten style, but is delicious. Add this spot to your rotation! read more

Decided to give this brewery a go this afternoon. Since we have never been here before we were not sure what to do. Walked up to "order food here" and read the directions. Grabbed a table and then went to order beer. Bar dude was kinda strange and stand off ish. Nothing friendly at all. Just order your beer and move along. Ok. So we did. Very cold. Hmmm. Luckily my beer was perfect. I had the mister mahogany. Yum. Then we considered food. Decided on pizza. Went to order - hoping for a friendlier, more welcoming experience... but was disappointed. Same sterile what do you want, hurry and order experience. Lots of people in here so maybe they don't have to focus on making their customers feel welcomed. But so many other breweries to visit in the Dallas area. Pizza was ok. For 19.00 felt was overpriced, but the brewery has food so it works I guess. Probably would not order pizza here again though. Well I was done and submitted but... holy cow I need to add to my review and also drop the 3 star to 1 star. As we were finishing up a guy came and asked if he could take our empty pizza trays. Seemed friendly enough. He actually spoke to us! Lol. My friend said to him that he was the friendliest worker here so far and was about to elaborate .... When the guy just turned away and walked off in the middle of his sentence! Lol did that just really happen?? Wow. Bottom line - with so many breweries in the dfw area... give them all a try. Great beer, good food. Enjoy the curbside experience. Pizza crust is a bit salty and stomach always hurts after eating the pizza, but so delicious it's worth it. Love that they keep the menu fresh and unique. Only thing I don't like was the kale Caesar salad. Little dressing and no flavor also inedible croutons. read more

We love Vector and we don't drink. Their food is fantastic and the patio is great! We have also used them for two large parties and they always put out great pizza. They even had pizzas ready at their opening time for us for a party. Great group of people that make delicious food and a great spot to hang out with or without kids! Vector brewing is our favorite spot in Lake Highlands. They have amazing food, wonderfully crafted beer, a large wine selection, and great vibes. Vector also hosts fun events weekly! They are family owned and full of really kind people trying to liven up the community around them. Best brewery in Dallas! It is family friendly with a safe atmosphere. They also have a killer patio with great TVs for watching games. I feel sad for those who did not have a 5-star experience at Vector. I encourage you to go back and give them another chance. We tried again - 3rd visit. Really, really wanted to love this place; a nice addition to our neighborhood, with good pizza and beer. Sooo much potential! Please consider lowering the kiddie curfew to 7:00pm. Unsupervised, screaming, toy-hurling children really ruin it for those of us trying to have a nice, fun dinner. Have tried 3 times. From the stellar beers, to the rare and special guest meads and ciders on tap, to the appetizers and pizzas, this place doesn't disappoint. Vector has it all. Delicious beers, my favorites being their hazy IPAs and sours. Elegant Maladie and Moon Smoke - Wow! Can't wait for more like these. Pizza is awesome - You can get traditional pies but its the out of the box Angry Bee and Keep Calm& Curry On that get us back time and time again. Fantastic kids menu that takes care of all of our kids likes which isn't normal for us at other restaurants. And more for the kids is Vector's toy/game shelves that the kids are free to pull from as well as a great walled off outdoor kids area for them to run around and play with others from the neighborhood. read more
