Great pupusas! Solid 4.5 stars for me. Their Revueltas (pork, bean, & cheese) were slightly greasier than other places I've tried but still delicious and packed with filling. You can tell they are made to order and came piping hot. That might explain the wait time because it took about 25 minutes to receive our food and it wasn't that busy. Overall, definitely satisfied my cravings.

Bean and cheese and Revuelta comes with a side of salsa and curtido

Well priced they have two pupusas for $10 you can mix and match your pupusas. They are big and stuffed! You get what you pay for i would definitely be coming back very filling and tasty.

Located in Haven City Market! Ordered two bean and cheese pupusas (came with cabbage slaw and salsa). The pupusas were pretty large with a good amount of filling. Everything was very delicious and flavorful.

Some of the best pupusas I've ever had. I went with a bean and cheese one and a pork and cheese one. Both were delicious and packed with filling. I also had the loaded steak fries. The fries were topped with a good amount of steak, which was tender and well seasoned. The food takes 10 to 15 minutes to come out, but it's well worth the wait to get them hot and fresh.

My first encounter with Vchos (Salvadoran cuisine) was at Haven City West Covina. This is my 2nd encounter with it at Haven City Rancho Cucamonga. This location must have been a food truck at one point because their paper wrapper has a truck on it and the word "truck" in their biz name. It was 15 mins before 9:00 PM closing time. The young gentleman behind the counter greeted me with a warm welcome and a smile... very nice and friendly. Thank you young man! They have pork, chicken, and shrimp pupusas. They also have dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan options. I saw a handful of specialty items... Salvadoran chicken sandwich, fried plantains plate, beef sliders, shrimp & potato tacos, loaded steak fries, fried or steamed cassava (it's a root vegetable), and chicken or plantain empanadas. Not a huge menu, but big enough to be enticing. Yum! I had chicken pupusa last time. It was the best flavor out of all flavors I got back then. I went with chicken pupusa again this time around in hopes it would be just as good if not better. WOW, the pupusas were huge in size and generously filled with chicken, spinach, and cheese! 2 pupusas for $10... it's a steal! They are indeed handcrafted from scratch with the freshest quality ingredients... I know because I saw them make the pupusas. Each set of 2 pupusas were packaged with a lightly fermented cabbage slaw (aka curtido) and salsa. Box was heavy! Oooh, loads of deliciousness for sure. It was good, but something was missing. I didn't get the great tasting flavor I got last time. It lacked seasoning or salt/pepper or something. I can't pinpoint it. Hence, 4 stars! I hope they figure it out. Highly recommend Vchos. I'll be back to try their other flavors of pupusas, revueltas, and specialty items. My eyes are on the shrimp & potato tacos LOL. Can't wait!

Was going to try another place in Haven City, but the line was too long, so came here where there was actually only one other family ordering ahead of us. There's the option to order at the kiosk but as I was standing there, Jeovanni motioned that he could take my order, so I made my way over to the register. He was helpful and quick in taking my order, gave me a pager and told me my order was number 2. The wait time was honestly kind of brutal. Granted, I was very hungry and it was getting quite warm inside Haven City. When we asked how much longer, we were told 2 minutes. But that was actually 10 minutes and the wait time total was about 25 minutes. I don't want to be too harsh on that as the pupusas were extremely fresh and steaming hot. They are clearly made to order, and not a moment before. I'd just suggest ordering prior to any "hangry" setting in, and you won't be disappointed. The pupusas revueltas were good, a bit more dense and greasy than I've had elsewhere, but the flavor was great. The curtido and salsa complimented them perfectly and had great flavor. I also added the fried plantains which paired with the meal perfectly. The price overall is reasonable as well. I'd definitely come back again.

This is located INSIDE of Haven City, one of the better Salvi food restaurants. Now, it might take a while for you to get your food, ours took about 40 minutes, but they're making everything as you order. Everything was piping hot when we received it. Loved the platanos, especially with the beans and crema. I would SKIP the ube empanada, though. Not much ube flavor, dry, and not worth the time waited. But everything else? Def recommend!

Chicken tamale ($7.35) - would not recommend.

Pupusas are still excellent! Prices have increased but their menu board has not been updated to reflect higher prices but no biggie. The main reason for the review update is the very mediocre tamale. I've had some great home made Salvadoran tamales and when i saw that they had it as a special (posted price $7, but charged $7.35), i had to get one. Highly disappointed and would not get it again. The masa was mushy and bland, chicken inside had zero flavor and was extremely dry and the potato was raw & crunchy. Luckily I also got the pupusas as well and as always they were delicious, some of the best I've ever had.

Vchos is a Salvadoran spot that started as a food truck and now has a location at Haven City Market in Rancho, their second brick-and-mortar after HCM West Covina. Their unit is towards the back of the building with a large bright sign that says PUPUSAS. You can't miss them. They just soft-opened with limited hours (11-7 according to their IG). The pupusas are made to order and stuffed generously. They also give you a big portion of curtido, which I really liked. The salsas I got tasted more like bland tomato water, but the pastelito I ordered had a super flavorful crust, so it balanced out thankfully. The seasoning on that pastelito was amazing! I wasn't a fan of the loaded steak fries. The steak is braised and comes with more sauce, which made it a bit soggy for me. I think I just don't like braised meat on fries that aren't super crispy, but the flavor itself was solid. Portion-wise, the value is definitely there. I also appreciate that they clearly mark their gluten-free options on the menu.

I want to add that Yareli is absolutely the best. Her pupusas are always perfect and she offers the best customer service. The young man in the front is wonderful too. He's super polite and professional.

This review is for the location inside Haven City Market. I'm so glad to have a pupusa spot nearby! I really enjoyed the pork & cheese pupusa and the birria both were delicious. I also appreciate that everything is made to order and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely one of my go-to spots inside HCM.

Pupusas deliciosas. These will travel well, and to rewarm: low heat microwave, toaster over, or even on a cast iron pan..Yummmmmmmmm! Def take some to go! The service is quick, clean, the trimmings are fresh. West Covina location is also good and consistent. Enjoy!

It was a Sunday afternoon and Haven City was quite busy. I wasn't that hungry however didn't want to feel left out since my family was ordering food next door. I stopped by and thought ok I can have a pupusa they're not that filling however I was wrong. They have a special with two pupusa's for $10. They're a pretty good size and quite thick, lots of filling and the cheese was oozing out. I ordered the revuelta and the chicken spinach cheese. Both were tasty however I liked the revuelta better. The pickled veggies accompanied it and were chopped up a little bit more finely than what I've had in the past. The salsa was watery as expected and could have packed a little more heat. The only thing I thought was off was that they were filming in the back with an iPhone and what looked like a script. The worker's had to fulfill orders but the lady n the camera man/director was standing the way. Perhaps they should have done this during the weekdays when it's not so busy....

Noticed we had this spot close to our home on Friday and decided to go on Saturday since they were already closed by 5PM. The location is basically hidden away in a commercial business area. The inside is small and honestly a little warm for me but I find most Salv locations like to keep their places warm feeling? Simple solution is just take your food back home lol The guy at the cash register was very nice and offered mixing spinach with zucchini when i couldn't pick between the two options. He brought us out some cookies while we waited along side our drinks. I got the ensalada and Jamaica. I preferred the ensalada as it was a little less sweet. I did want their empanadas with custard filling but they didn't have any My husband got the chicharron pupusas and i got the revueltas. I enjoyed both and honestly you can never go wrong with the mixed. To take home we added some zucchini and spinach ones and honestly those were a great add on with the revueltas. I did find their cortido to fuck me up a bit with all the spices, but I'm just sensitive to that sort of stuff so if you have some sensitivity issues with spices beware! The tomato sauce was good, I'm not sure if they have a spicy version but might be needed for some people. Other than that great place, the food wasn't too oily and the service was great. Also please make a mental note that the orders are made as they're ordered so it can take a minute for food to be ready. Order in advance if you're in a hurry!
