Scallops over a mushroom risotto
Kate G.

We came here for an anniversary dinner while in Hot Springs and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, the ambiance felt different than anywhere else we had been in Hot Springs, and the service was great. I believe the menu changes relatively frequently, but I had the scallops and they basically melted in my mouth they were so good. My husband had the Arkansas bolognese and loved it. We shared the key lime cheesecake for dessert and it was the perfect finish to a great meal.

I saw the door from the street, and when I opened it, I was astounded at the beauty of the interior of this special gem. My eye was drawn to the bar at the opposite side of the room, and I sat down to a very warm welcome from Jay the bartender he poured me a lovely glass of bubbling rosé, and I have been enjoying the quiet ambience of this hidden gem. I ended up having an appetizer of a shrimp cocktail, but it is even more than I need for a whole meal. Whether you're traveling alone or you're with a group of friends, this is an absolutely wonderful place and I would recommend it to even come from Little Rock as a destination it's really special.

Winter salad- amazing and pretty. Perfect blend of fruit and vegetables!

The atmosphere was very warm, perfect for a 25 year anniversary celebration! The food was delicious, I had lamb with chimmichuri!

What a great restaurant. The lighting and decor is top notch, making your dinner special and cozy. The service was excellent, our waitress was attentive and made the experience very enjoyable. The food was great, well prepared and delicious. If you have a chance to try the seabass special, do it. Moist, delicate, and superb.

Sultry bank vibes from the prohibition era. And really, this used to be a bank with an actual vault still sitting behind the bar. Highly recommend making a reservation to avoid having to wait. We did just that and still waited about 30 min while we stared at open tables that were never filled as the night went on. Maybe they were understaffed that night? Not sure. There's a 33% tax tacked onto mixed drinks, so that was fun to find out. THE FOOD. - French Onion Soup | Great broth flavor and cheese pull. The bread was tough to break, even as it soaked in the soup. - Chopped Wedge Salad | Refreshing with bacon bits, blue cheese dressing & crumbles, and balsamic vinaigrette for contrasting flavors. - Smoked Cream Corn | The bacon bits and smoky flavors are great additions to this side dish! - Ribeye 16 oz. | Cooked medium and it was seasoned well. Paid extra for chimichurri on top which further enhanced the flavors. Quite tasty. - Moroccan Lamb Shank | The lamb was tender with Moroccan flavors (i.e., cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and saffron). Creamy potatoes and a medley of vegetables tops off this amazing dish. - Complimentary dessert was a cup of ganache chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Very nice! THE DRUNK DRINKS. - Intrinsic Cabernet | Floral with cherry notes. Very nice. - Pinot Noir | It's actually a little similar to the Intrinsic wine... floral with cherry notes. - Smoked Old Fashioned | Presented in a glass box filled with smoke. Love how the smokiness lingers in this cocktail. - Allspice Manhattan | Bourbon and sweet cherry flavors. THE PARKING. We parked on the street behind the restaurant and it was free. COMING BACK? Perhaps, but the 30 min wait even with reservations is a little (lot) off putting.

Lovely meal in a very romantic restaurant in Hot Springs, AR We chose to order soup and sides. We ordered five sides. Each one was excellent. Our sever, Scott was very knowledgeable about the food. This is a lovely restaurant- we weren't too happy with their choice of table for us - it was up against the street wall - in a corner next to the hostess desk - I would have loved to be in the middle of the restaurant to enjoy the ambiance, which we never had where we were. Rolls were the best. Save room for dessert. They have a reward winning pastry chef. I would definitely recommend The Vault for a lovely meal while in Hot Springs

The food, service, and atmosphere is phenomenal. We went on our honeymoon and I honestly felt like we were treated so well. They made our first dinner as a married couple the best that one could ask for. I always recommend this place to other people when they visit and my husband and I plan to go back when we go to hot springs again this summer.

Grilled Asparagus

My wife and I came to Hot Springs for our 43rd anniversary. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and were referred for dinner. Skylar was our waiter and provided WONDERFUL service! I had the shrimp cocktail as a starter. The shrimp were large. My wife had the NY Strip and I had the 16 oz ribeye. We prefer medium-well and they were juicy and delicious. For sides we had the asparagus and crispy potatoes. Oh my, Oh my. Those and the rolls, WOW! And the ambiance was pretty cool. If you have a special occasion and don't mind spending a bit of money, go to The Vault!

Carla was amazing, friendly and helpful. My pork chop was absolutely delicious. Gulf oysters were huge and excellent. My wife's scallops were also great. A great finish to a delightful little town. Highly recommended.

Bone In Pork Chop

The vault was the perfect surprise during a recent trip to Hot Springs. I had no idea Hot Springs was such a cool historic little town right on the water. On our second night in the city we were looking for a good dinner m that could accommodate a large group when I stumbled across some pretty good reviews for a Vault. Not only were the reviews convincing but it was also a cool concept as a he restaurant was repurposed in bank vault. Very cool! We made a reservation and were promptly greeted upon entry. Aesthetic was very nice and very welcoming. We were seated quickly and one of the coolest things I noticed upon being seated was the light up menus which made for the perfect pairing for the dim lit aesthetic. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and we struggled to pick. We ended up ordering a round of appetizers, including the oyster Rockefellers pork belly, warm cabbage salad and a few other items, but surprisingly the cabbage salad was the crowd favorite, highly recommend! We also had the bone in pork chops the chicken chimichurri dish, the ribeye and the lamb fillet. I personally had the bone in pork chop which was cooked to a perfect true medium. All in all we had a great evening at the vault. One of our dishes ended up taking a little bit longer, but it did not ruin the experience as the drinks the service and the food were all delicious. If you're ever in the Hot Springs area I would highly recommend stopping in and making a reservation at the vault!

It's a cozy dining room with a small bar (seats about 4.) Not a huge place so reservations are recommended. Staff were super friendly. I didn't feel out of place in my sweatshirt and jeans but will probably wear something other than a sweatshirt for dinner. It was super cold outside. When you walk into the bathhouse, you can't see the restaurant. Someone at the front desk takes you back to it. The gentleman that took us back was very welcoming. He walked us to our table and gave us information about the menu. If you walk into and no one is at the desk, it's because it takes a moment for them to walk guests back. Be patient. We both had the Vintage Breakfast and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the Morningrita wish was really good. I had their Classic Bloody Mary. Their mix is made in-house and is great. Oh and they have a Mimosa Flight!!! It's a bottle of champagne and your choice of 3 different juices. We tried mango, pineapple, and strawberry kiwi. All were spectacular. We will definitely be going back to try their lunch and dinner menus.

For example, another restaurant, in Houston no less, offered a house made tortellini dish with TRUFFLES for $32. Maybe I should've considered my options a bit more but the reviews and recommendations set high expectations. The ambience / vibe felt poorly executed. Seems like they use the side room for storage. During our visit the door was left open, and it was obvious employees were going in and out to watch the basketball game. The one positive was the drinks.

Cafe 1217 - A Fresh Break from the Road Trip Diet…read more What a relief to stumble into Cafe 1217 after days of heading southwest on a steady rotation of BBQ, grits, and beans. Delicious, yes... but the body eventually starts asking for a vegetable and a reset. The space itself matches that feeling. Simply decorated, with bright murals, clean lines, and a cheerful, easygoing vibe that feels light the moment you walk in. My husband gave me full ordering authority, which is always a bold move. I went straight into tapas mode because everything on the menu looked too good to choose just one. We ended up with a spread: chicken pot pie (which quickly abandoned any "small plate" intentions), field greens and baby spinach, a shrimp and crawfish cake, and one of each of Rosy's authentic hand-rolled tamales. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without that heavy, road-trip food fatigue. The mint lemonade was refreshing and delicious, a little on the sweet side, but it worked. Service, while perfectly fine, could benefit from a warmer welcome and a bit more guidance, especially for first-timers trying to navigate such an inviting menu. A little extra friendliness up front would go a long way here. Our only real regret? Not saving room for dessert. They looked very tempting, and we'll be thinking about that missed opportunity. If you're on the road and craving something lighter without sacrificing flavor, this spot is a welcome pause.

We had pizza on our minds but the restaurant we wanted to dine at had a 45 minute to 1 hour wait. We passed; our tummies didn't want to wait that long. We headed on down the street until we saw an interesting restaurant, steaks, yummy. We headed inside and were seated immediately. It was a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was approaching their closing time, but we had plenty of time to dine. After being seated at our table, Haley, our server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It was a bit warm, so iced tea was the beverage we requested. After looking over the menu for a bit, I decided on the 8-ounce hand cut sirloin, cooked rare, accompanied with a loaded baked potato and a side salad. My wife, who wasn't very hungry, ordered loaded baked potato soup. While waiting for our entree and soup we admired all the artwork on the walls. From what we could tell, all the pieces were painted by the same local artist. The artwork was focused on rock icons. Some of them were very interesting. In a flash, my side salad was brought to our table. I ordered it with Brick House Grill's House Dressing, cheese & wine. The salad was beautiful served cold and crisp with huge slices of cucumbers. The house dressing was incredible with a touch of sweetness. Yummy. Shortly, our entrees were delivered to our table by one of the kitchen's expeditors. I love my steaks cook rare, not medium rare, rare. So many restaurants' grill master's, when they have a rare steak ordered, have a tendency to cook more towards the medium rare side. My hand-cut 8-ounce sirloin was grilled to the perfect rare. The steak had a wonderful smokey flavor from being grilled. Haley, our server, checked in with us several times. She specifically asked if my steak was grilled to perfection. My wife said the loaded baked potato was wonderful, some of the best she's ever had. Haley was an awesome server, so attentive and pleasant. What an incredible meal and time we had! Next time we're in Hot Springs, we'll definitely stop in for dinner.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and we scored a great table out on the patio--perfect for people-watching and soaking up the atmosphere. I had an Austrian Pinot Noir that was smooth and delicious, followed by an espresso martini. It was labeled "crème brûlée," though it didn't quite have that flavor, but still a solid martini made with real espresso. The standout dish, though, was the corn crème brûlée--absolutely amazing! The caramelized topping had that perfect shatter before you dive into the creamy, savory center. A definite must-try.
