Wowsers!! I cannot write enough good aspects of the Vault as our experience was absolutely incredible! We were in town to visit the Hot Springs National Park and wanted to experience fine dining on our last night. No need to look further than the Vault! Intimate lighting and a dark-wooded interior lent itself to a wonderfully romantic evening. Service was absolutely amazing (we had Emily) and she described all of the different menu and drink option questions we had. In the end, we went for two filets, the crispy potatoes, and brussel sprouts. Brace yourself: the steaks were some of the best I've ever experienced. NO JOKE. I've traveled the world and would consider myself a connoisseur of fine steaks. Without a doubt, the filets we had at the Vault stand up to anything I've ever had in NYC, Paris, or Dallas. Cooked to perfection, we could actually cut them with our forks. Needless to say, nothing was left of our plate... Beware: the side dishes are huge, so one is enough for two people. This is the place to have a beautiful dinner in Hot Springs! It is right near all the fun stuff on a corner downtown, and it is simply divine. The ambience is just so elegant and romantic. The menu lights up as you open it and everything on it sounded delicious. The servers, Peter and Emily, were so fun and helpful! They brought out these heavenly yeast rolls basted in truffle butter...what??? I got the market fish special which was grouper, and my husband got the grilled pork chop. Come with an empty stomach if you get the pork chop. It is a very generous portion and is delicious! The grouper was perfection...crispy on the outside, light and flakey inside, sitting atop beautiful spring vegetables and a lovely light beurre blanc sauce. It was topped with edible flowers and micro greens. I regret that I did not take a photo (we were so hungry), but it was just divine. The chef came over to ask what we thought and we told him everything was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely. We can't say enough good things. I wish I could give this restaurant more stars. Hands down the best dining experience I've had so far in my life. We happened to stumble upon this gem randomly during our trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas not expecting much but wow were we absolutely blown away. First, you walk into a dimly lit, intimate dining area and seated at a table with very comfy chairs and menus that light up for visibility. Next, your waiter is SO knowledgeable about every item on the menu. I had history lessons about the rice production in the area while learning about which dishes to choose. While waiting for your food, you are served an edgy orange-glazed dinner roll that is simultaneously intriguing and comfortingly familiar. A delicious twist on a classic. The head chef also came around serving an amuse-bouche of another experimental apple dish which was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. Food comes- oh my goodness I cannot explain how amazing the Chislic beef tips were. Every component of this dish was just so thoughtfully crafted and well-blended. Each bite was bursting with flavor and energy. My partner also loved the potato soup. Our mains were equally impressive- my fennel rice in particular knocked my socks off. I have never tasted rice so decadent and aromatic in my life. The salmon was of course great but certainly not the star of the show. Finally, the bread pudding at the end was the cherry on top of the culinary bliss we had just experienced. I would drive 10 hours back to Hot Springs just for this restaurant. The Vault in Hot Springs We had the most wonderful experience at The Vault in Hot Springs tonight! My future daughter-in-law's mom surprised her with a special dinner, and it was such a beautiful evening with my two daughters, my future daughter-in-law, her mom and her sister. Two of us have gluten intolerance, and we were absolutely amazed by how many gluten-free options The Vault had for us -- even gluten-free desserts! It made us feel so welcomed and included, and everything we ate was absolutely incredible. The service was fantastic from start to finish. What made the night even more special was when the staff, including the chef, came out to congratulate my future daughter-in-law and make her feel extra special on her big night. Those little personal touches meant so much to all of us. Thank you to everyone at The Vault for helping make such a special evening even more memorable. I had the pleasure of dying at the vault a few weeks back. First time visitor. I'm looking forward to the next time. I get to dine in there. Atmosphere is a dimly lit steakhouse, with high end service. Set in an old bank building. Once seated the chef brought out an amuse bouche which started the dining experience off with a flavor punch. Fried apple, honey drizzle, topped with goat cheese. Everybody knows that honey and apples go perfectly together. But who would've thought to throw goat cheese in there! It was a one to punch for my flavor senses. The homemade rolls they brought out covered in a sticky buttery garlic mixture were absolutely divine. I had to limit myself to just one. The grilled cabbage was absolutely amazing. In fact, it was probably my most favorite thing I ate that night. The combination of flavors and the cabbage itself were just dancing across the taste buds. I'm going back just for this dish. The ribeye steak was a tad disappointing. It ate more like a New York strip. It had a little more chew to it, not as tender as I was hoping. The flavor was good. The seasoning was perfect. I could not ask for it to be cooked any better. Over all if it would have been more tender it would have been amazing. So full from dinner that we skipped out on desert. Next time I will give the desserts to try! read more

Another successful trip to The Vault. The short version is Great Service, Excellent Food and nice atmosphere. We started with elderflower martinis (no dry ice this time) I'm assuming someone had a problem with the tiny piece of dry ice in their drink. So, no smoking drink theatrics but just as good as ever. The Vault is dark but they use backlit menus, making it easy to read which is a nice touch. I wish more restaurants with subdued lighting would use this technology. Much easier to read a backlit paper menu versus a tablet. Appetizers were the Blistered Shishito Peppers served with two dipping sauces. The Truffle Butter rolls were hot, fresh and devious as always. Jane had the meatball appetizer for her dinner and I chose the lamb with a side of mushrooms. Whether its a special occasion or just a nice night out The Vault is a great option. read more

The food was delicious, the ambiance felt different than anywhere else we had been in Hot Springs, and the service was great. I believe the menu changes relatively frequently, but I had the scallops and they basically melted in my mouth they were so good. My husband had the Arkansas bolognese and loved it. I saw the door from the street, and when I opened it, I was astounded at the beauty of the interior of this special gem. My eye was drawn to the bar at the opposite side of the room, and I sat down to a very warm welcome from Jay the bartender he poured me a lovely glass of bubbling rosé, and I have been enjoying the quiet ambience of this hidden gem. I ended up having an appetizer of a shrimp cocktail, but it is even more than I need for a whole meal. Sultry bank vibes from the prohibition era. And really, this used to be a bank with an actual vault still sitting behind the bar. Highly recommend making a reservation to avoid having to wait. We did just that and still waited about 30 min while we stared at open tables that were never filled as the night went on. Maybe they were understaffed that night? Not sure. There's a 33% tax tacked onto mixed drinks, so that was fun to find out. THE FOOD. - French Onion Soup | Great broth flavor and cheese pull. The bread was tough to break, even as it soaked in the soup. - Chopped Wedge Salad | Refreshing with bacon bits, blue cheese dressing & crumbles, and balsamic vinaigrette for contrasting flavors. - Smoked Cream Corn | The bacon bits and smoky flavors are great additions to this side dish! - Ribeye 16 oz. | Cooked medium and it was seasoned well. Paid extra for chimichurri on top which further enhanced the flavors. Quite tasty. - Moroccan Lamb Shank | The lamb was tender with Moroccan flavors (i.e., cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and saffron). Creamy potatoes and a medley of vegetables tops off this amazing dish. - Complimentary dessert was a cup of ganache chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Very nice! THE DRUNK DRINKS. - Intrinsic Cabernet | Floral with cherry notes. Very nice. - Pinot Noir | It's actually a little similar to the Intrinsic wine... floral with cherry notes. - Smoked Old Fashioned | Presented in a glass box filled with smoke. Let's go back to the food... the blueberry cocktail is served in a chilled martini glass and SO good, the red cabbage salad is unique and delicious- and the Coq au Vin- probably one of the best dishes I've ever eaten! We were visiting Hot Springs from Southern California and saw the Vault on Yelp so had dinner there one night. We are so glad we did. My wife and I had the pork belly appetizer. They made it very well. Pork belly is hard to get right. We also had the filet entree with a couple of sides. The food was all delicious. But what we have to really compliment them on is the service. We were in town from Houston for a family getaway and stayed in the lofts above The Vault (recommended by the owner) and it did not disappoint. The ambience is classy, the smoked old fashioned and martinis were top-notch, and every person in our party agreed the filet mignon was one of the best we've ever had. My peppercorn sauce was unreal. Dessert was a 10/10, but the real star? The dinner rolls--think Texas Roadhouse, but elevated and absolutely mind-blowing. My wife and I came to Hot Springs for our 43rd anniversary. We stayed at the Embassy Suites and were referred for dinner. Skylar was our waiter and provided WONDERFUL service! I had the shrimp cocktail as a starter. The shrimp were large. My wife had the NY Strip and I had the 16 oz ribeye. We prefer medium-well and they were juicy and delicious. The vault was the perfect surprise during a recent trip to Hot Springs. I had no idea Hot Springs was such a cool historic little town right on the water. On our second night in the city we were looking for a good dinner m that could accommodate a large group when I stumbled across some pretty good reviews for a Vault. Not only were the reviews convincing but it was also a cool concept as a he restaurant was repurposed in bank vault. Very cool! We made a reservation and were promptly greeted upon entry. Aesthetic was very nice and very welcoming. We were seated quickly and one of the coolest things I noticed upon being seated was the light up menus which made for the perfect pairing for the dim lit aesthetic. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and we struggled to pick. We ended up ordering a round of appetizers, including the oyster Rockefellers pork belly, warm cabbage salad and a few other items, but surprisingly the cabbage salad was the crowd favorite, highly recommend! We also had the bone in pork chops the chicken chimichurri dish, the ribeye and the lamb fillet. I personally had the bone in pork chop which was cooked to a perfect true medium. All in all we had a great evening at the vault. One of our dishes ended up taking a little bit longer, but it did not ruin the experience as the drinks the service and the food were all delicious. If you're ever in the Hot Springs area I would highly recommend stopping in and making a reservation at the vault! read more

The food is excellent whether or not you have gluten issues, but the service from the chef here was so over-the-top amazing it deserves mentioning here as well as at Find Me Gluten Free. Before I go into the gluten-free food, let me say that my husband (who can eat anything but is often rather... discerning) ordered the lamb and key lime pie and said both were amazing. He said the key lime pie was the best he ever tasted, and we live in Florida. We called and told the hostess I had celiac, and she marked it on the reservation and let both our server and the chef know. The server was not over-the-top great but I felt as though the food would be safe. Then the chef came to our table with a gluten-free bread basket for me (the server said they didn't have gluten-free bread). He let me know that instead of removing the breadcrumbs (the server said he would ask the kitchen to remove the breadcrumbs so it would be safe for me) used in the broccolini, he used gluten-free breadcrumbs. He came over several times during our meal to make sure I had everything I needed. He is gluten intolerant so I'm sure this is why the place is so attentive to people who cannot or will not eat gluten. Our server was also the bartender the night we went, so I'm not upset that he didn't know as much as the other servers, because he was erring on the side of caution rather than getting me sick. The chef, though, absolutely made the meal. We sat by the kitchen and initially I was disappointed not to be in a quiet corner but it ended up being amazing because the chef had more time to talk to us. The meal was absolutely delicious. It's the next morning and I've had no ill effects -- and do not expect them. DEFINITELY put this place on your list for Hot Springs! read more

My colleagues ordered the salmon and chicken. The salmon was incredible- worth returning for. My lamb was not a repeat item. It was very tough and not well flavored. One colleagues order came out wrong. It took forever for her order to be redone. We were done with our food before it came. The manager was gracious and comped her chicken, which was great. Went to "The Vault" last night for dinner with my girlfriends. We had an amazing experience. Chef Andrew gave us a tour of the restaurant and a bit of history on the building. The food was absolutely incredible and the staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. We had the venison, the shrimp & grits, the brussel sprouts, whipped potatoes, fall vegetables & their delicious house-made rolls.
