The work was done when they said and my bill came in at $50 (cash only) for hemming a satin dress with a couple layers. The work was good quality and the people were very nice! Came in to get a jacket and suit altered. Upon walking in, you see a plethora of items maybe work in progress. Had an efficient conversation with the tailor who was very clear on what could be done and what could not be done and gave me a reasonable turn around time for the pieces. I'd say the value meets my expectations on price compared to other tailors. I would ultimately return and can see why they've been in business for over a decade. read more

Purchased a brand new suit jacket online from Express. I brought the jacket in unworn with tags on and in original bag for a sleeve hem. Price seemed fair at $30. Asked if I was in a rush and I said no, so he offered two plus weeks turn around. I was able to talk him down to 8 days. I picked up the jacket on time and immediately noticed a brown stain above the chest pocket. I asked what happened and if he would attempt to clean it. He refused to even touch it and claimed it was pre-existing. I explained again that it has never been worn, that the tags were still on and it was in its original packaging. He was unapologetic and frankly didn't give a sh*t. He offered no explanation and claimed I must of received it that way from Express. It seemed like he felt that I was trying to scam him despite the jacket being delivered with original tags and packaging. 2 stars vs. 1 , because, although I find it highly unlikely, it is possible that I received it this way, but his overall response and attitude were that of the typical Miami low life. Been here a few times to get my pants hemmed. The pricing is reasonable and my pants have always fit perfectly after. Giving it 4 stars because the place looks a little run down and a few times I have showed up, the shop was actually closed even though it was within the shop's normal hours so you may want to call ahead to confirm they are open before traveling there. Also, the shop is kind of hard to find since it is on the inside of the building and not street side. read more

Located in a pedestrian underpass, look for the "Tailor" sign either from SE 2nd or SE 1st Street. I believe they're open until 6 PM. Cash only. The shop is well organized, the service is friendly, and I paid less than expected to replace a zipper on a pair of jeans ($13). The owner even remembered me when I picked them up a week later. I needed to quickly get my suit tailored during a holiday weekend. I had a regular fitted suit that I wanted to take in to be adjusted into a slim fit suit. This shop was actually my second choice but the other shop said they couldn't get done in time. This shop came to rescue! It is located in downtown Miami so naturally parking sucks. The shop is inside a small mall that is currently undergoing construction. You will have to enter the 2nd Street side to access the mall and shop. The shop looks a little dingy but the tailor work makes up for it. I called ahead and asked the tailor if it was feasible to do it within 2 days and he assured me it could be done. When I came into the shop I tried on the suit with the dress shoes in their fitting room. He meticulously went around and made adjustments until I was satisfied with the new fit. I picked it up the day before the holiday. To bring in the midsection of the suit jacket and slim and hem the pants it was about $65. I was happy with the results and plan to bring other suits to this shop. read more

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Went there with simple problem with my swimwear bikini top: one part was separated from another one by the strap. It's 1 minute job. Came there and the guy told me that I have to go back tomorrow because he is busy. Okay. I came back next day and he gave me my top back and when I was trying to wear it was made wrong! He simply switched front and back. Probably didn't even look on what he is doing. My mistake that I didn't notice that when I took it from him the first time. I came back and showed him, he couldn't understand for some time and then he did it right in 30 seconds because it's very easy. Why he couldn't do it straight when I came the first time? God knows. The guy is very rude and arrogant. Highly don't recommend. read more

This is my go-to tailor. Super quick service, great prices, and high quality. I usually get my jeans hemmed in under 2 hours and more elaborate dresses taken in in about 24-48 hours. Simple hems cost approx $8 and more elaborate jobs cost between $20-30. Would totally recommend. read more

This tailor claims to be an expert on suits. I took my suit pants to him for a simple waist alteration and he ruined my suit. Pockets were sticking out, waist was not aligned.... When I went back to see if he could fix his mistakes he said that was the best he could do. Not even a mediocre fix but a total disaster. He ruined a $750 dollar Italian suit and didn't even offer a refund. STAY AWAY or it will cost you dearly. read more
