Yum!! This has got to be one of the best burgers in Orange County. The jalapeno cheeseburger is delicious! The avocado cheeseburger is great, too! French fries are great (you get a huge portion of fries). This is across the street from Anaheim H. S. What a great find! read more

First time here, and the food was very good, especially their delicious salsa - chef's kiss! The initial quiet ambiance was nice, but it got a bit noisy later, considering it's a hangout for the younger crowd. The service was basic, but the staff was sweet. We used to really enjoy this place but it started becoming a hit or miss type of place. Today at about 10:40am the drive thru lady was very rude and seem frustrated taking our order. We definitely felt rushed and there were no other cars in line and the restaurant wasn't even busy either. She just handed our order over and shut the window. The hash browns for breakfast will either be well seasoned or not seasoned at all and taste like bland potato. Like I said, hit or miss.. read more

If u see the drive thru line long and ur craving fries don't go in the line. Drive thru was packed and they gave me the nastiest burnt/cold fries. Seem to me like they're just refrying left over fries and giving them out to the customers read more

I stopped here after work one day. There is a drive-thru and lots of parking spots. I ordered the Patty melt and fried. My order came out in a timely manner. The Patty melt had okay flavor the meat Patty was a little thin it had grilled onions on it, I know some restaurants use smaller size meat Patty's to keep the price down or to cook it faster. The food tonight was not good. I have been here before and this is the first time the food was not decent. Carne asada Salad is phenomenal. This should be rated best in class and for the price under $9.00 who makes a great salad for such a reasonable price! So I used to drive by Varsity Burger in the mornings and I would get super annoyed at the number of people holding up traffic trying to get in the parking lot. Tonight we ordered fries (of course), a double cheeseburger, a pastrami sandwich, and grilled cheeses. Now, the fries. Well seasoned but undercooked. What made it was the ranch!!! Very greasy though. Double cheeseburger was well cooked and tasty! Ingredients were fresh and it was nice blend of flavors. Pastrami sandwich was definitely the star of the show! I would say this outdid The Hat. My husband devoured it and barely let me have a taste! My kids liked the grilled cheese but just had half! The place is packed for a reason. So don't go there for a quiet meal. the staff is very friendly and fast. I make really good food despite the quick turnover. I would define this place as textbook average where it's a toss up if it's any better than making the burger yourself at home with fresh ingredients. I'm not saying it's a bad burger and fries but when you can't even match the bar set by In-n-out then it's a problem. The fries were also average. The person with me got a milkshake that was somewhat bitter and not as sweet as milkshake is. I would have to say go to In-n-out/Chik-fil-a instead. read more

Too expensive, not worth it. A fly landed on my food and ruined my whole meal. When I tried scaring it away it went into my sauce. They don't seem to care about the dine in experience. It's like the drive thru is their main priority. I like a Comfortable place to sit and eat my food but the metal chairs inside made it impossible. They didn't even give us any plates. We've always stopped by here when in the area. (We live in San Bernardino now) My husband used to come here all the time when he was in high school. Food is always fresh and huge servings. They're really fast too. Today we stopped by the drive thru since we're in the area (dropping off the mother in-law). My husband can't have dairy due to ESRD (kidney failure) because of the phosphorus. We ordered a double without cheese and some other food. It ended up having cheese, which is understandable, it happens. So I come back to drive thru, and I was approached by a nice guy. Looked to be management with the uniform. He was so attentive to notice I was holding the burger and receipt. I didn't catch his name, but thank you so much! Memorial Day morning. Hubble and I tried 6 restaurants before we found one open for breakfast. I like Mom Pop places. Save the small family owned businesses. Varsity Burgers was the 1st one we found. Hubble ordered Lumberjack. It was big and he said everything tasted really good. I had a breakfast burrito grande. No hash browns or beans. They added lettuce and tomatoes for me at no extra charge. It was HUGE! So good and flavorful, packed with everything. We will be back. Girls are all sweet and friendly. One of the best, if not the best, burger joint in DT Anaheim. The moment you park and get off your car you can smell the quality burger in the air. Literally. I suggest the chicken sandwich or the bacon cheese burger for starters. You will not regret it They serve you more than enough fries and the drinks are self-served at the fountain machine. The front-end and back-end staff collaborate very well to ensure that your order is made and served on a timely manner. I ordered through Door Dash to try it out. I got a breakfast burrito with carne asada. It could have been really good if it wasn't for all the potatoes they put. The potatoes were bland they didn't put salt in them at all so it killed the flavor of the burrito. We also ordered an order of taquitos thinking they're fresh and made there but they're frozen taquitos. They were disgusting and hard we had to throw them out. Ordered through Grubhub for delivery. I was impressed by their large portions! Great prices. Yummy food! I ordered their Avocado & Swiss burger & side of onion rings. Coworkers ordered Western BBQ burger, Carne Asada plate, & zucchini fries. We all enjoyed our food so much that we didn't take pics lol. Maybe next time. The lady at the register was very nice, and gave me ideas for future visits. She said the portions are large. I'm looking forward to trying everything. For drinks we got a Santo Dia, a whiskey based cocktail with watermelon, lime, and fizz served over ice. We also ordered the Spicy margarita which had watermelon habanero, lime, and hibiscus flavors. They were both delicious and refreshing, the spicy marg had a good kick to it. For dinner we got a caesar salad, the ribeye plate, and the Urbana burger. We both loved the dressing on the caesar, it's made in house and it shows. The ribeye was cooked perfectly with a delicious herb butter on top, a really good steak sauce on the side, and thick cut fries. The ribeye wasn't the highest quality but it tasted good, the fries were perfect. My fiancé got the burger which had chorizo, melted queso Oaxaca, and an egg on top. Not gonna lie it was absolutely delish! I want to come back just for the burger. All in all we had a great time and I would definitely come back for some other menu items, especially to try more of their margs and specialty cocktails. Thanks Urbana!

It's on the first level of the packing district. It's a small spot but they make effective use of their space. There were people there but it wasn't full. It took a really long time for our waiter to take our order. We each ordered two tacos from their special and I tried the spicy margarita and my friend had the sangria. The spicy margarita wasn't my favorite and I found that it was wayyyy too spicy. The spicy really overpowered the alcohol and other flavors. The presentation for the drinks was beautiful but the flavor didn't do it for me. My friend didn't seem like she liked the sangria either. The tacos took a really long time to come out. The Al pastor pieces were cut into thick cubes. There was nothing memorable about the tacos. I really wanted to like this spot but it was a complete miss for me.
