He provided an initial quote very quickly and was responsive to any questions or requests via email and text. We ordered the wrong shower drain part which we realized two days before shower drain installation. I wasn't going to get the new drain shipped in time from the brand I really wanted, so Nik drove to 3 Ferguson home stores to find the part we wanted. I would never have expected that, but he went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. He was also very detail oriented and when we brought up a couple minor things that needed to be fixed, he quickly responded and had his team adjust. He also stopped by the house every single day of the project to check on things. Overall, we are extremely happy with the quality of work and process of working together. Highly recommend!

While Isaias only checked in a couple of times, his younger brother was on site daily leading the crew and made sure everything was done exactly how I wanted it. They were always on time (8:00 AM every single day) and cleaned up nicely afterward. What impressed me most was how they handled a few small issues during the job; the moment I brought something up, they fixed it right away without any pushback or arguing. You can tell they just want the customer to be happy. I'm really pleased with how everything turned out and will definitely be hiring them again! I knew enough about construction and engineering to seek professional input and reached out to Alpha Structural. They were pretty booked out, however when I explained the gravity of the problem (people in a home office below the tub area), Franchesca worked her magic and got me an appointment in 2 days. Damien showed up promptly at the 9 Am start time. We walked around the property while I explained my concern, and noted several other possible issues. Damien was extremely through, asking numerious questions and providing input and advice along the way. He took the time to explain causes for the different issues and was personable, professional and extremely helpful. Luckly for me, my problems traced back to normal settling, a recent solar panel and roofing job and normal aging. It's no wonder why Alpha has so many 5 star reviews- They absolutitly deserve every one of those. I only wish other businesses were as well run, and with such amazing people like Damien and Franchesca.

One issue, however, was that there was differential settling. This is where Alpha Structural comes in. I feel the entire process went well. Ken came out to survey the situation. We had a good conversation and came to consensus on the scope of work; and I feel I received a fair proposal. David Gonzalez (supervisor) was good at communicating once the job started. He provided an accurate timeline for Alpha's part of the rehab project (so that I could schedule subsequent contractors). When demolition revealed new things, I was informed. And he provided a good debrief when work was completed. Matteo and Dennis spent three days on the project. Whenever I visited the worksite, they were busy. I don't think people realize what is involved when re-leveling a house. These two demonstrated a lot of skilled work. I (and my neighbors) also appreciate the company's "clean as you go" process. Regardless of the work happening, the worksite was always neat. Going forward, I feel I have a good (new) baseline understanding of what is happening within my house.

There was a lot of back and forth as we fine-tuned the scope but TLC was always accomodating and updated their detailed quote multiple times at no cost. They helped guides through everything including the steps required with our own HOA! Once construction was approved to start, the execution was incredibly crisp with non-stop daily activity until completion. As a Facility and Project Manager, I know what great execution looks like and they delivered in spades. The ADU build is summarized into two general phase and one extra phase for us: Phase 1 = Arash the architect led the way on the planning, from 2D architecture drawings to 3D renderings; after the city approved to break ground, Alan the lead builder & team took care of the foundation & structure of the build, this phase was finished under 6mo., between Dec '24 till April '25. Phase 2 = Mahroo the interior designer led the way on the interior design, she provides further interior design & parts sourcing, that pieces everything else together inside the DADU once phase 1 was finished. Ariyan the project leader also helps greatly to sort out the communications between us & his team. This phase was finished under 3mo., even with much changes in the details such as appliances, between May '25 to August '25, including final inspections from the city. Phase 3 = Consider this icing on the cake, and optional phase that includes landscaping and utilities around the DADU in the backyard, as well as front yard touch ups. We started with an ~1,600 sq ft home and Ben helped us completely reimagine it into a 3,600+ sq ft dream home that our family plans to keep for generations. What stood out throughout the process was Ben's rare combo of deep technical capability and a genuinely easy, approachable working style. Ben brought significant in-house strength to the table: full architectural design (including our California room / covered patio), plus engineering coordination around soil/civil and drainage planning. That integrated approach made the process far more seamless -- fewer handoffs, fewer gaps, and fewer "who owns this?" moments. And his pricing was fair and attractive for the level of rigor and service. As the build progressed, Ben stayed close and collaborative -- not just sending plans and disappearing. He worked with us and our contractors, answered questions, and helped keep things moving. He was also extremely responsive; he typically replied within a few hours, which makes a huge difference when you're trying to keep a project on track. Ben handled submissions and permitting with the City of Fullerton and worked through City-requested changes efficiently, saving us countless hours and headaches. He also has a sharp eye for detail -- his plans were thorough, complete, and clear -- and he brought creative solutions to get the design we wanted while respecting the budget. Our taste is traditional / Cape Cod, and he did an outstanding job translating inspiration photos into a finished design that feels classic, intentional, and timeless. We went through more than four rounds of revisions, and Ben was patient and constructive the entire time -- he worked with us until we were genuinely happy. Bottom line: Ben translated our dreams into reality, and did it with professionalism, responsiveness, and real care.
