I ordered veal Parmesan. There was so little sauce, hard as a rock fettuccine and breaded veal that I could not cut with a knife. The breading was literally so dry. The two pieces could've been used as hockey pucks. The only reason they are getting two stars is my husband's lasagna was tolerable. Not sure how they got better ratings, but it sure wasn't from what we received. Again, I'm pretty sure the bread they gave us came from Costco but definitely wasn't fresh baked, no butter, no garlic, just a few cut pieces from a loaf of French bread. Major disappointment. What is very interesting is how busy they were when I picked up the order. Apparently, the standard for Italian in Albuquerque is pretty low

The menu is huge! And so are the portions. My husband got a personal-sized white pizza. He ate his fill, and still was able to take a couple pieces back to our rental house for snacking purposes. I got the artichoke ravioli, which was topped with spinach, tomatoes, and pine nuts. Excellent! Others got the angel hair Pomodoro and canneloni. All delicious! And be assured that no one left hungry. The dining room filled up quickly and the staff was kept hopping. But they did a good job of filling orders and delivering the tasty food as quickly as possible. We'll definitely go back to Piccolino the next time we're in Santa Fe.

I ordered the Caesar salad with no cheese and balsamic dressed instead. The blackened pollock was cooked perfectly and generous portion of veggies and sauce. Admittedly, I am giving it 4 stars because service slowed down as the night went on, my entree too much longer than anticipated to come out and I had to find my server to get the check.
