Pho and Sushi Roll
Kiayana R.

I came here for a takeout order because I have been searching for a local spot that served Pho. The pho broth was a little off and the serving size did not match the price of the product. I also ordered their sushi roll that was 19$ and it was half a roll. Food was decent but in my opinion not worth $40 based on taste and serving size. The service was great and the restaurant looked nice. My only complaint would be the price to serving size ratio.

JP's is a dedicated gluten-free kitchen but you probably knew that already. I am not a gluten-free…read moreperson but I live with a few. Most gluten-free store-bought items taste like sawdust and cardboard. Not here. I can say with certainty that the baked goods here rival gluten containing baked goods. Their oatmeal or chocolate chip creme sandwiches are my favorite. Cinnamon roles a close second. If you're trying to keep your house gluten free without making non-gluten-free household members sad from low quality poor tasting GF food...then this is where you need to shop. I can certify that I am not sad eating GF goods from here whereas I am with popular name brands such as Udis. As a West Virginian, I have rarely seen pepperoni rolls made outside of WV except here. For them to be gluten free I've never seen anywhere else. They are exceptional especially if you put them in a toaster oven and let the cheese melt and the pepperoni sizzle and the bread get a little toast on it. This is an extremely small shop with no public restroom. Most of the items are frozen but they do have fresh daily offerings. They will heat up items for you such as a cinnamon roll if you can't wait to get home, just ask! As with all things GF, there is a GF-tax. It is expensive. But again, most GF people are not surprised they have to pay a little extra. JP's shows you why it's worth it though.

We picked up a few things you don't see at all gluten free bakeries. We got an oatmeal creme pie, a cinnamon roll, and some waffles. I really enjoyed the oatmeal cookie pie. The cinnamon roll seemed a bit undercooked, which my husband loved, but I didn't. I'm excited to still try the waffles!

Ich liebe Annelores deutsche Bäckerei!…read more I first got goodies from Annelore's booth at the State Farmer's Market in Raleigh. The Apfel (apple) turnover was delicious, as was the Heidelbeerkuchen (blueberry cake) and Zitronenschnitten (lemon bar). I saw a nice gentlemen there that day who I think may be part owner; based on what I see on their website I wonder if it was Herr Norbert. While waiting for another guy behind the counter to bag my goodies, I happened to mention (to who I think was Norbert) that I'm learning German, and he spoke some basic German to me! Which I understood - OMG, must tell my German teacher. A couple weeks later I needed to bring desserts to our monthly Book Club meeting, and Annelore's was my first thought. I decided to visit their actual store in Cary. Even though it's an hour away from home, I stopped by one day when I had to go to Raleigh for an appointment. An Annelore's employee helped me with selecting about six cake slices and 2-3 different bars, plus some German cookies. The inside of the store is very clean, and there are some places to sit if you'd like to eat there. The employees were kind and helpful (and patient, in my case, trying to decide what to buy for a Book Club group I'd never met in person). Annelore's German Bakery is a wonderful way to take care of your dessert needs and support a local business at the same time. If you need a dessert, cake, scones, or other treats for your home gathering, BBQ, church social, potluck, business lunch, or other event, I would definitely let Annelore's take care of that part for you! 10/10, highly recommend! SO good! Vielen Dank, Annelore's... Ich werde Ihr Geschäft bald wieder besuchen!

Cookies, scones, pretzels, strudel, cakes and other German pastries. They have turnovers in savory and sweet flavors. We tried the mushroom cheese turnover, bacon potato turnover, ham & cheese croissant, apple strudel and apple lemon pie slice. They offer hot tea, but just give you hot water and pick from the self-service selection of teabags. They also offer coffee, but we didn't order any so I'm not sure of the options, like I said previously there is no menu board. Its a bakery, not a coffee house. My husband wanted brotchen (bread rolls) but didn't see any on the back bread wall rack. I told him to just ask if they had any in the back. The lady said she could bake 1 or 2, so he asked for a dozen, and she said it would take 20 mins. We got a dozen of the brotchen and loaf of rye bread to go. Quaint and simple. Most tables sit 2 chairs, but you can pull up a 3rd if needed. They have 2 individual, unisex bathrooms for customers. We were in town to stop by and visit with a friend. We will definitely come back to try more yummy treats.

I came here with my parents and boyfriend and we had an amazing meal. The food was fabulous and…read morethe service was excellent. The ambiance was great too. It felt very classy and relaxing, despite being there on a Saturday night. My mom and I got the seafood crepe, which was delicious. We ate every morsel. The crepe wasn't huge, but it was a 10/10. It was stuffed with shrimp, scallops, tomatoes, and spinach and was drenched in a lobster cream that tasted just like a perfectly done lobster bisque. We were tempted to lick our plates to get every drop of it. My dad got the beef bourguignon, which he enjoyed and tasted good but didn't wow me as much as my dish did. It came with pearl onions (not my favorite), mushrooms, carrots and mashed potatoes. My boyfriend got the Bavette cut of the steak frites. He said it was cooked more rare than medium rare and was a little stringy, but that's was likely because it was a less expensive cut. I thought it tasted good and the frites were perfectly done; shoestring cut and extremely tasty. For dessert, my mom got the crème brûlée which was done well and very tasty. My boyfriend got the chocolate espresso pot de crème, which was tasty and he seemed to enjoy. It was very small, so just a heads up on that. I got the profiteroles, which I was expecting to be mini, but they (3) were the size of a lime and stuffed with lots of ice cream. They came with a warm chocolate sauce in a saucer that you get to pour on yourself. Their portion size is smaller than most restaurants in America, but I think that's to be expected with upscale establishments. I left completely satisfied and not overly stuffed, which I prefer. I think it was well worth it and am definitely planning to go back.

We had a reservation but we were a little early. They said we could wait or sit at the bar. We decided to sit at the bar - new for me and I loved it! The bartenders here are conversational and attentive. I grabbed a glass of their rose cava and my friendly got their Bloody Mary - a perfect way to start off brunch. We split an order of their biscuits, which came in a skillet (so they were hot hot hot!) with a fruit compote on top. This was my first time having it and it was delicious. The perfect mix of savory and sweet. Then I got my favorite, their Croque Monsieur. As always, it was delicious! Cheesey and meaty goodness. My friend got their steak and eggs and said that they were also good. We were able to sit and chat and our food came out quickly. The bar here is a game changer!
