    Pepperoni pizza

Overall, the pizza was good. I would say red zeppelin down the street has a much better pizza and outdoor patio. The atmosphere here was lacking, we came on a Saturday around 6:00 and there was no music or volume on the TVs on the outside patio, it was very quiet and odd. Parking could be a trouble here during rush hour, we were able to park right in front at 6 on a Saturday so it must be 50/50. The drink machine was down so we had to get a can drink from the bar. I did enjoy the thin crispy crust on the pizza.

We came here for lunch and it was pretty good. I'm not shocked by it, but the service was good and everyone was nice. Seating area inside and outside was clean and they also have a playground for kids to play. My bf really enjoyed the HBIC pizza because it was refreshing and the crust was crispy. They had a bunch of different sauces which I liked as well. They had ranch, spicy ranch, an olive oil mix. The pepperoni af was good as well! I would want to try the Maria next time!

A hobby of mine is when I'm not semi dieting or semi gyming, I like to be a foodie and have a semi cheat meal. And @varspizza was the perfect place to do so! Overall, I would come back to try different pizza flavors. Here's the pizza we ordered: 1. Coon Ass: red sauce, pepper jack, boudin, cracklings, green onion, hot honey. 2. The Quad: red sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, goat cheese, ricotta. 3. PIZZA OF THE MONTH: WHITEY BULGER CHICKIN CRACKLIN LEMON PEPPER WHITE SAUCE ART HEARTS RICOTTA BANANA PEPPER and ARTICHOKE HEARTS. (Favorite) 4. Mid-City: red sauce, fig preserves, prosciutto, red onion, balsamic reduction. (Favorite) 5. Blueberry BBQ and Hot garlic Wings #Tonylameats #varspizza #pizza #batonrougela #foodsdventure

Worth the visit. Excellent pizzas. Worth the price! Pizzas came out fast and everyone was friendly and nice. The restaurant was brand new so everything was clean, they have a little playground for kids and nice outside seating area. I initially thought the price point was a little high for a couple of large pizza to go, but after eating the pizzas it's definitely worth the extra $5 you would save with dominoes or papa John's. We tried the Pepperoni AF and the Quad. Both were delicious AF! Finally a good a pizza joint in the neighborhood!

Really like this pizza, but for $27 I expect a lot more toppings. Good pizza, but they need to step up their toppings.

Very Pricey for a very mediocre pizza, and mediocre service. Took a while for our pizza to come out. Experience 5/10.

I looked around and saw that all of the tables inside were reserved and we were lucky enough to be seated on the patio, where there were also a good number of tables reserved. It wasn't too bad being outside because they had some space heaters, and the table we were at had a nice view of the sunset. There was also live music, which to us was a huge plus. Our server was Chloe, and she was great! Attentive enough that we never had to wait for anything, and very pleasant. We started with a mule for me and an espresso martini for my friend. She says it's one of the best, if not the best, espresso martini she has had in Baton Rouge. My mule was the just strong enough to hit the spot. As far as our food goes, we loved how fresh the bruschetta tasted and how the meatballs practically melted in your mouth. My friend preferred the Lil Peppa because she liked their red sauce a lot and I preferred the salsiccia con potate (mozzarella, Italian sausage, roasted potatoes and rosemary with a white sauce) because I found the flavor combinations interesting. I favored the tiramisu, while she favored the cannoli. We were both in agreement that we would come back and get all of these again, so they were all winners to us.

There's no organization to what anyone is doing. The dining room tables aren't bussed and about five walk-ins and me are waiting for online orders. There's nobody directing the kitchen and no front-end person catering to the three tables there. Now I've worked in restaurants for half my working life and some in grad school. These deficiencies are exacerbated by not having a firm managerial hand. It's what happens when everyone is in their 20s with little to no experience in the world reacting to a rush rather than being proactive. There's no reason why I should wait 20 mins for two pizzas when I get there after ordering it 15 mins prior to leaving my house just down the street and 5 or 6 staff working. There were enough people to handle the rush if they had more leadership and direction. That's the sad part.

Now in 2025 it has moved to the old pluckers with a limited menu. While the food was good and hot. I felt that the mozzarella sticks are not worth the price and the sweet tea was old (taste wise). Service was great! HATED that ALL of the TVs were on the same red zone channel on a Sunday afternoon. I would rather be stuck watching one game than watching 15 seconds of every game. I'm definitely going to give them time to settle in visually because the gray and red walls are dull.

The service was great and the vibe is nice. There are some menu modifications like the initial smoked wings now being fried and a slight variation in the wing sauces. The new pizza crust has too much cornmeal in the recipe. The old thin crust was the way to go with minimal cornmeal if it had it at all before. Cheese sticks were slightly burnt at the bottom and too much cornmeal in its crust also. Wings were good but my family and I prefer the smoked vs fried a hundred times over. Hot honey wing sauce was delicious. Decent visit overall but honestly not a huge fan of the food changes other than the location. Will try again soon.
