    Rolls. Phenomenal. Beyond words delicious.

Saw this restaurant on social media and drove out to support. The place is small but we had no wait and were waited on by several staff, all very friendly. We ordered and they brought these rolls to the table. I picked it up (still warm) buttered it and took a bite and my next words were "oh sweet Jesus." Best dinner roll i have ever had in my life. And there is real whipped butter on the table (score). My chicken fried steak was good. Tastes fresh and a good portion. Good gravy. The green beans were delicious and the black eyed peas were good. The banana pudding made a good dessert and was a sharing size. Fresh banana slices on the bottom, whip cream on top. A great value overall and if we lived closer we would be regulars.

First time trying this little gem and it did not disappoint family owned. Food was excellent and they have a good selection of wines and bottle beer., the prices are very reasonable and a wide selection of food. The service was excellent.

We heard about Vaqueros Grill through friends and wanted to try this place out. We heard they have the best chicken fried steak. Say less! My husband and I arrived late in the evening, there were only other table that was occupied. It looks like a family own business. Services was great and the older gentleman had a conversation with us. He stated, "he like to get to know his customers". We felt right at home dining here. Food: The chicken fried steak was huge. To be honest, my husband and I could have shared one, but my husband does not like to share. To each to our own. For sides, I ordered mash potatoes and mac and cheese. I enjoyed it, and the sauté onion was a twist to the CFS. Appetizer - okra, mushroom, pickles, onion ring and mozzarella stick. Did I mention all fried? My husband enjoyed the appetizer, but for me.. it was a bit much. We enjoyed our meal, nice and quiet. Keep in a mind its kind of a hole in the wall. We would come back and try other items off their menu.

We discovered Vaquero Grill thanks to a post in a local "Happenings" Facebook group. After waiting a couple of days for the initial rush to calm down, we finally got to try it out tonight. The restaurant was busy with full tables, but we were seated quickly. We started with the Fried Pickle Spears. The batter that was spot on. For my entrée, I ordered the Meatloaf with Corn and Mac 'n Cheese. The meatloaf was excellent, with a nice crunch from vegetables, and I would absolutely order it again. The corn was sweet and crisp, and the Mac 'n Cheese was rich, creamy, just perfectly done. My wife ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with Green Beans and Squash. The chicken was outstanding, crispy and juicy, and it came with an excellent gravy. Honestly, I could have drunk the gravy straight from the bowl. We finished with Banana Pudding, which was excellent as well. I usually do not care for banana pudding, but I would gladly eat this again. There were fresh banana slices at the bottom and it was topped with crunchy Nilla wafers, added right before serving. To top it all off, the owner Humberto personally came by to check on guests. He is not only an incredibly kind host but also a talented cook. A quick note: because of the recent surge in popularity, some items may sell out and wait times might run a little long. The food is more than worth it.

I had the Children's Chicken Fried Steak with black eyed peas. The CFS was still too big for me. Black eyes peas were from the can without seasoning was my side dish. Just a little seasoning would have made a difference. The batter on the CFS was good and not over battered. Hubs had Small CFS and he ate half and took the rest home with my left overs and ate it for leftovers the next day. He had mashed potatoes and a salad. He was pleased. This place has good service and the manager checks on with you to make sure you are OK. Restaurant is quaint, but clean. Always busy.

The food was very good and the waitress was very attentive. Be aware that there is a convenience fee added to your bill.

The little ceramic dogs her mothers friend had had, the fancy cake plate... Interesting, I suppose. This is an order at the counter, pay in advance, and they give you a little flag with a number on it place. Okay, pet peeve one, I hate tipping in advance, but it is a common kiosk thing now. Pet Peeve 2 all the prices rang up a dollar or two higher than the menu prices. (Soup and sandwich menu price 13 rang up 15) I understand inflation is a thing but if you're going to raise prices, go ahead and hit print on some new menus. It's a short menu, it's only two pages long. Second fact, prepare to wait. Maybe one chef back there hand wrangling each burger or sandwich by hand. Third fact there's about six tables with comfortable chairs and the rest have hard plastic chairs. so if you are coming at a busy time, you aren't going to have a padded seat. Countering these irritations is the fact that the food is actually really really good. It is simple fare, but really well done. The potato soup hovered just on the soup side of the line between potato soup and mashed potatoes, but had fresh crispy bacon and scallions added right before serving. The roast beef sandwich had sliced roast freshly from the oven just for this sandwich. So we got five star food but the rest of the package doesn't add up for me. I'm going to give it four.

Great value for money and elevated even further due to superb service by Reese. What a delightful young person - she will go far in life and we wish her the best! She truly made the visit memorable. Menu was extensive, ordered a Flight of beers, exquisitely made Frozen Sangria, Harvest Salad (half), Dixie Chicken with Seasoned Fries, and Cajun Brownie (wow, sinfully delicious and different). OMG! The food was out of this world, portions were generous, and to top it all off, the tab was very reasonable. $42 with taxes and Reese got a great tip for her excellent service! Thank you Craft Grill for a memorable date night! Shall return.

This place easily stands out as a top-tier restaurant. I ordered the chicken fried chicken along with the Bama Balls, and both were outstanding, well-prepared, flavorful, and something I'd gladly order again. The ambiance really ties everything together. It has a great atmosphere, and I especially liked the George Rodrigue painting on the wall, it adds a unique and memorable touch to the space.

I ordered the double patty burger adding a 1/2 order of fries and a small chili too. By the way this is a table service restaurant. They say the individual beef hamburger patties are 1/3 lb. but they sure look more like 1/4 lb. in weight to me because they are really thin. You probably want to get two like I did. The burger was tasty and I enjoyed it. Also the french fries are homemade and taste like it. Why can't more restaurants have fries like these rather than the frozen out of the bag kind? The 1/2 order size is large enough for 2 people to share. Finally their chili here is legit. Yummy! There is no doubt that this is a quality burger and fries eatery. Add in the chili and you will be happy when you dine here. My only negative is the price. No combos here so you pay list price for each item. With my double burger, 1/2 order of fries, small chili, drink, tax and tip my lunch was about $30. Yikes!
