Unbelievable!!! I would rate negative stars if possible. Be careful with this business. After sending this email about the restrictive pick-up hours, Amy, the owner sent me a long inappropriate email. I've included the emails below: My email: Hi Amie, Your limited hours make it difficult to pickup, especially with the late 10am start time. I will try to be there today. Her Response: Hi there - I assure you we are doing the best we can - do you have any comprehension of what it takes to do this every week? I don't care for the general tone of the email you sent me - it seems that you were sending shit to me after I was KIND enough to send a reminder email (not required) - so I do want you to apologize and let me know that you appreciate what we do (even though we are human and make plenty of mistakes), we do our damn best and you have been bidding since 2021 so giving me shit now seems odd. Go ahead and send me back an email that takes back your negative vibes, as you do not know the first thing about my struggles BUT you should know that I will not take this shit over walmart returns. Clean it up and say you are sorry -- also I am gonna send this to the front team and if I find out you have been less than kind to them then you will need to bring them a gift and an apology as well - A half assed apology will not do - I deal with many more of you than you know so I have seen it all. Man up and do a 180 or lets call this thing over. YOU CHOSE TO SEND A KIND OF SHITTY EMAIL so I am choosing to demand an apology and one for the front staff as well - I realize that there is a 99 percent chance of you either not responding (which will mean we are at an end) or telling me to go fuck myself (which is also no problem, I deal with horseshit like this way too much so I know the statistics really well) and if this offends you please know that is on purpose. Clean this up and man up or lets go our separate ways - I will no longer accept this in my life - if you want to do better then do it now and let me know - if you want to stay the same then you and I are not a good fit which is fine but sending me shitty emails is not something I accept - so pay what you owe or never darken my door again. The choice is yours, just as it was to send me that email CRITICIZING MY GODDAMN LIFES WORK. Also please send me the website of the business you built as well as the app for it that I will be able to find in the ios and android app stores, that way I can take pointers if your business is bigger and better than mine. Send that over, or send the apology and prepare a little gift for the front desk to go with that apology should you want to continue bidding here. If not no worries we will close the account and save you the trouble of having to clean up your mess. Thank you, Amie Owner Vanzant Auctions read more

This site is horrible about always getting the right information on their Bid Items. I took issue with a product labeled new. When my mother was up at that auction when she tried to Return an item that clearly was not New, however it did mention the Box Damage, mother noted the scratches and the horrible dent in the Object. The lady claimed you can only return one item in a Given year, and strongly asked her if this was the one item she wanted to return. Or they would give us ten dollars off said item, my mother felt pressured into just accepting the item at that time.. However I got the item at home and fully looked it over, It clearly was never NEW item, My mother Took the actions of writing the auction and trying to address just the Usage as New... In the end this is what the reply was from the own of Vanzant. Sorry it was described as New it didn't say anything about having marks or blemishes..... Ruby was there and said that was maybe a blemish from shipping She (Margaret) didn't seem to be Listening to me. Ruby suggested we refund the item and re sell it but MRS. Dyer said she'd keep it. I told her that this would be her only refund. She said that she has not had any refunds this year and I told her it's basically one refund per person. So she said that she'd like to keep the item. I give her a $10 coupon towards the next auction she was okay with that and she left. So this is what my team says happened. How much time and energy would you like us to spend on this mistake? At what point will you be satisfied what would you want us to do here? Is what my team says true? Did they give you a offer for a refund and a coupon and you're still contacting me --the owner of the company -- on my very precious time off -- is that what's happening here? This is the first time that I have bid on an item in an "auction" and won without being immediately outbid until the price was almost to the retail sale price. I stopped playing in auctions in this town years ago because it was so obvious that they all set a minimum bid requirement or bid everything up so they wouldn't sell anything too low. That's not what an option is supposed to be like. VanZant auctions sells items for as little as 3 bucks and if nobody bids against you, you can get really good deals. The owner will tell you outright she doesn't play those games. She also does not allow bidders to come back if they don't follow the auction rules. It's obvious that she is running a fair sale because she doesn't need or want customers that give her problems. The guys I know that buy from her told me right up front that it's her way or the highway because she is actually selling everything she has to the highest bidder even if the highest bidder is only paying five bucks and the item is worth 50. You don't find auction houses like that anymore. But I'm sure as soon as more people find out about this place the deals won't be as good which is too bad.. My only complaint is that it's hard to get there to pick your items up if you work 9 to 5. She'll hold them for a little while for you though. read more

We figured it was time for an updated review. Amie (van zant auctions) has always been consistently good and very fair. We've been customers of this company for several years now. Amie has always done an exceptional job for us. She has also gone above and beyond for us, and we have personally seen her do this for other customers. Occasionally, some of her overstock auction items come to her with minor issues, Amie and her team personally inspect the condition of the items prior to sale, but occasionally overlook something. We have bid on a few of those items, and Amie is ALWAYS willing to make it right with us. We are extremely happy with the service and Amie's personal backing of the products she auctions although they may belong to someone else. It is difficult to see negative reviews of this company as we ourselves are a licensed business. We, first-handed, know that not every customer will be satisfied no matter how good the service or product is. This auction company has been vital to several aspects of our business as well as others in the Reno area. We have, and will continue to support this company as much as possible, as it is a very good one! read more

if you ever have a return or a issue with anything you purchased from them don't expect a lot of good help from Aimee. just expect to be threatened with banned and told you are rude and argue even when you apologize for using the wrong word of the item in question making a miscommunication happen and you see you own mistake. this is what you get in response cussed at threatened and demand for a stellar review at yelp or google reviews or you will be banned ( try to copy and paste the email but it wont let me here) In their small defense the staff there have always been polite but the owner yeah I'm good on ever spending another dime with them. I even had a deadline of 6pm today or I am banned lol ( I made the deadline) I only wish they would let me post the sweet emails you send your customers. But you can look back numerous years here and see the threats and demands for reviews has been going on for a while from the owner to anyone who wanted to return anything. read more

This is the last time I am trying to go up there. You end up spending 30 minutes to just get out to the auction itself. Purchasing or attempting to purchase from auction has been by far mine and would be your worst experience. What they continuously do is bait you into looking at a site that is hit or miss of what the actual price is.. If they say the item is $300 or it worth $1800 it is at best worth 1/3 that price. Seriously do a very detailed search if you can of what the name actual is, which they do not always list though when you buy it its clear as day. I bought 4 things that is not the same as the link. When you look it up they quoted like some 300 dollar this, and its some 50 dollar thing you paid $80 bucks thinking ooo I got a good deal.. IF you use this Auction GOOGLE IT.... Honestly look to Amazon first for anything that could even be the item... OMG I honestly could of saved more money just buying off amazon and not wasted an hour drive... read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO NOT buy from this place. They are RUDE and scam artists. Staff is rude and treats paying customers like criminals. They steal your information!!! One of the employees threatened me and said she has all of my information and will come and find me. WOW!! I will be filing a restraining order against her and the company. Me and MANY of my family members buy from them and we will NOT anymore. They just lost MANY good paying customers by being shady people stealing your information and threatening bodily harm to someone. NOT TO FORGET TO MENTION many of their items that you may be buying are wrongly described on their website and wrong pictures are posted...therefore leaving you with JUNK that you didnt want in the first place.... the owner AMIE is rude and hires people who are unqualified and BELONG IN JAIL!!! ZERO stars. read more

Woohoo! Another great week at auction! I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been experiencing the BEST auction site yet. I have worked auctions and been a customer to many live/online auctions. I have never had such quality items to choose from and buy. And it has NEVER been my experience to have an even high quality staff. They greeted me by name by my 2nd week. When I misunderstood a posting and bought it, I was promptly offered an exchange. What I find is its the owner Amy who demands and upholds the standard of quality. Thank you ladies, for your kindness and help. I appreciate you soooo much for your help and... ALL THE SSS I HAVE SAVED! read more

After calling me a Bitch -- and after being nothing but polite to this miserable group-- then they get me blocked on facebook. I showed their post to everyone I could at 2 different auction houses. Keep in mind that this group "scalps" the best things from their auctions and sells them for their own profits. That is what I had messaged them about. A pop up garage. They probably were supposed to auction it off but the scalped it off and were selling it directly. The owner turns her work over to a "brat" who calls their customers bitches..... I will continue to show that post to as many as I can. What a horrible business. read more

Amie Vanzant stepped in and saved the day at the August auction. The business owners came to her at the last minute with very particular requirements and Amie inventoried, catalogued and auctioned off the entire warehouse, met the financial goals of the owners, and cleaned up after the auction so the business was move-out ready. It was a challenging event but Amie Vanzant delivered on every one of her promises, despite many unforeseen problems on auction day and less than two weeks to put the whole thing together! You cannot find a more honest, hardworking, affordable auction house in the area. Highly recommend! read more

This owner is a crook and has very poor business ethics. She banned me form her site because my wife bought a defective product that said "new, box damage" and wanted to return it. Her product descriptions are false lead. She had the audacity to write on my profile that my account is closed "per his bitch ass wife!" What business owner does that?? She wrote many other nasty things on my wife and mother in law's account. We will be reporting her every where we can and seek compensation for Deformation of character due to her unethical and slandering business tactics! read more

There are a couple of great auctioneers in town and Amie Van Zant is one of them. An auction is a fast paced environment and sometimes things don't go quite as planned. As a bidder when you go to an on-site auction you, as a bidder have to be flexible as things can get complicated and sometimes people become hurried in their attempt to satisfy the customer's needs and those of the bidders. It is especially stressful when your electronics won't work due to internet difficulties, but the auctioneer has to go forward, the auction cannot be postponed for another day. read more

I bought an air fryer from Van Zant Auctions because they arnt cheap brand new and I made a mistake and didnt read the description right, it said new withOUT the box. So when I picked it up it was super nice, just without the box. I wanted the box really bad since I was gifting it to my grandma and the owner told me to bring it back and she switched me for a new one in the box!! I know they dont like to do that, but I was super impressed with how nice she was and how they were happy to help me out. I love watching this Auction site! Thank you Van Zant Auctions! read more

Thank you so much for helping me out this week. I purchased a battery operated tool set. I knew that the battery was missing when I bought it but got it home and found that the 1/2 in drive drill was also missing. I called and left a message and received a return message the next day They gave me a full refund with no hassles. Wasn't expecting that since it states on every bill that all purchases are final. They apologized and cheerfully refunded my money. Excellent customer service and very helpful staff. read more

I am a so happy with my recent purchases from Van Zant auctions! It was recommended to me by a co-worker and now I'm totally hooked. You can find great quality items at great prices. The staff is helpful and friendly. I had some questions regarding one of the items I purchased and the response was quick and friendly. I havent encountered any problems with the bidding system. I highly recommend this place to everyone I see and my family and friends! read more

Can't say enough nice about these folks. If you know what you are doing, and you know what you want, you can get great deals and have some fun. Anything I've bought that turned out to not work or be broken when I got home they happily gave me credit for, but that has only happened twice in 50+ auctions I have participated in. They do a very thorough job reviewing and testing items so we can bid with confidence. Rock and roll! read more

I love vanzant auctions and so do my kids because they are always getting cool new stuff! The prices are so low and the staff is so friendly. There is always something I want and I don't feel guilty buying when the prices are much lower than retail. It was a bit difficult to find at first but they have updated their location and the signs are easy to follow. Happy bidding! read more

The owner Amie is a blunt person who cares little to nothing about her customers. She accused me of wasting her time when trying to address an issue I have with an item I bought from her site. It doesn't matter I spent likely up to $2,500 over the course of a year. My time means nothing to this person.. I never been so offended as a customer in my life.. read more

I've been buying from their site now for about 3 months. I've got a lot of good quality things from appliances to bedding items. Everything has been either new or on very good shape. The descriptions given are very accurate and the pictures help. Their staff is very professional, good to work with, and they give a cash discount as wellxuXjuh-cuvpak-4gosty read more
