My fiancé and I had to pack up AND clean our entire 4 bed/ 2.5 bath before we moved across the country. Chris and his team were so amazing to pack and load our things into a trailer then offer their cleaning services for us. Such a time saver and major stress relief. Chris's son, Tony, was so generous to come help us on an extra day we were feeling very stressed. I texted Chris in the evening (during our stress) he responded quickly that he had called Tony and he would be there to help us the next morning as early as we wanted! It was a breeze working with them, so cheerful and fun to chat with while very hard working. I would recommend to ANYONE! They had awesome prices too... beat out everyone else for both packing services AND full house deep cleaning. Chris also sent photos of the house after cleaning was finished, because he knew my fiancé and I were on the road across the country already. It made me feel very confident in my choice and that we left the house in good hands... not to mention they got every nook and cranny cleaned... including speckling/wall repair and buying furniture I could not keep. Best team in the Reno area.

PACK UP storage unit day. The big move is in motion again. First pic shows one storage unit done and the beginning of number two. Next pics show all the "belongings " that need to go. Some rearrange done and tah dah..... all in and room to spare. Very excited. I am home packing my bags to fly out REAL EARLY Saturday. Chriss and Larry will hit the road soon and I will be meeting up with them on the 15th. Can I say AGAIN, how amazing this group is.

What a bed frame will do to a table with sentimental value when not protected properly.

I stayed in contact w co for a few wks, told to lock soon for the quoted price. Sure. When the time came for my move, which I planned well, I end up receiving one moving guy, sent from Oasis Movers, out of Las Vegas, their connect movers of the west. He was friendly and helpful but did try requesting addl $ from me above , the 2nd payment. I just said why? He let it go, took my tip and a drink, and left. I was told then, probably to expect my items 10 days later.. well, that was NOT true. I waited for weeks for truck to arrive to St Petes, FL. *And boy was that an ugly late arrival, w one or 2 calls from driver. He was okay over phone, but hard to understand some. When he arrived w a motley looking crew of 3, from honestly a Dumpster dive..I had some red flags go up. He asked for the addl $798. up front, I said I would like to see some items off the truck. It had been 30 days already! He said, obnoxiously, NO. I will call my dispatch..I said how bout $400 now and rest when your done. He said NO. "I will leave".. this is how we do it..what? I felt under seige, a lone female w dog and he's yelling junk at me. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I asked a few questions and wanted something arranged different in storage space, and he said No. We are late for another customer. His one crew guy swore obscenities at me, left the rest of my stuff outside the unit, drove off! Just drove away! A short, dark haired little man, Mybe mid 40s, of possibly middle eastern decent, and yelled like a banshee. He was a P*ick and shouldnt be in charge of dealing w customers who paid dearly for their things. SOME OF WHICH WERE DAMAGED! Thats another story.. poor claim credit. WHAT A FREAKING RACKET W THE DOT, Dept of Trans. STAY AWAY FROM OASIS MOVERS OF VEGAS and possibly JOHN M OF ALMIGHTY MOVES FL. Hes a good BS talker to me now!

We offered to rent an additional truck. He did not want to do that so we had to make two trips. Prior to taking the job we walked him through our house. He knew exactly what we were moving. There was no excuse for him not to have the correct size truck. By the time we arrived at our new house it was after 2:00 a.m. We asked him to please be as quiet as possible as this is a residenial neighborhood. Instead of even attempting to be quiet Thomas and one of the men working with him had a loud verbal disagreement standing in our driveway. Before hiring him we read the reviews - mostly negative. When speaking with him he admitted that in the past he'd had some problems but they were taken care of. I'll end with: Don't.

TL; DR: I think you will be happy if you hire Isla for a very standard, easy move. If you have…read moreanything remotely non-standard about it, make sure to communicate every possible detail, assume nothing, and know that if it won't fit on a dolly/the dolly can't go where you need it - you are better off contacting someone else. Welllll this is partly my fault and I should have known better but...hopefully this will help someone else. Essentially, any time I have hired movers and something didn't fit through a door, they took the legs off or figured out a solution. They didn't just leave it outside for me to deal with and still charge me for moving. I looked on Thumbtack for people to help me move a catio I was buying from FB Marketplace. Catio = outdoor cat enclosure so cats can spend time outside safely. They are expensive to build right now! Well anything is. So I thought I'd scored...$300 is a deal, they're at least $400 new and then you have to put it together and it's a pain and ugh. So! Reading Master Packer's great reviews on Thumbtack made me think I had found the perfect solution! Isla said it was a $150 flat free to move one object. I sent him a picture of the catio and the dimensions (general - I also should have gotten waaaaaaaay more specific dimensions but we'll get to that). I sent him the info from the seller, who said it was super heavy so bring a couple of people. I thought that meant...he would. We texted and made a plan to meet in Spanish Springs at 7:30 that evening - this part was awesome! Last minute, evening (a little cooler) and a truck. If you have something simple to move - Isla is your guy. The key is: Can it be moved using dollies? I arrived 5 minutes late (whoops! running from an appt) and Isla already had the catio loaded in the truck and strapped in. The seller was super impressed! I think the catio was in his driveway or very close, so Isla could just get it onto the dollies and wheel it on in. Sounds good to me! I went to pay with Zelle but the dumb site wouldn't load forever, so I did make Isla and his girlfriend (that's who he brought, not naother mover) wait. I felt really bad...but hadn't had time to stop for cash. I was debating whether to give up on the interwebs and go get cash when luckily it finally worked. Anyway that part sucked. And it was kinda far away. But he knew that and flat fee. The real problem(s) started when we got to my house. At no point had Isla asked me about where it would go in my backyard, the path to get there, whether there were stairs...anything. And yes I should have measured and let him know it was a somewhat odd path to travel to the spot it needed to go...but it just didn't occur to me. The dimensions were wider than the seller said so we couldn't bring it through the house, leaving only my yard, which is mostly dirt. Upon arriving, Isla unloaded the catio onto his dollies and hauled it through some rocks and a whole lot of dirt - one side was in the dirt and he dragged it. He didn't first look at where we were going to put it and I still wasn't registering that this guy, on his own, with just dollies and a very unwieldy structure, was just not going to be able to get it across my yard. I think we were maybe in a hurry because of the wait/drive? I don't know, movers I've hired have always gotten the lay of the land before charging in with furniture etc. So this thing is like not a sturdy structure - I also should have just put a stop to it way sooner because all of the pushing and pulling and dragging made one side of it completely break apart. That really sucked. And pulling it back out the same way would only make it fall apart more. Isla finally called it...leaving my sad broken catio in the dirt/blocking stuff, on the other side of the yard from where it needed to be. So basically when I hire movers, I want my stuff...actually delivered. It was unuseable without being near the window my cats need to use to get into it. So then I had to spend another $150 to get my nice handyman to a. partially dissasemble it and help me move it to the kitchen window b. fix the parts that Isla broke c. put it back together. This was exprensive, hot, frustrating, and overall a terrible experience! If I was going to dissasemble it anyway, I wouldn't have needed to hire Isla, or break it, or certainly to spend $150 for someone else to break it. I really wish I had just paid for a real, sturdy catio to be built because at this point, it wouldn't have cost much more, would be way better, and would have been one million times easier for me. Thumbtack charges lots of fees so I just contacted and paid Isla directly to try and save him some money - don't do that either.
