In town This is a clothing store that one would only find me visiting if I were shopping for my daughter. She loves their bright, colorful, floral prints. And that is exactly why I even entered the store. The store was not busy for a Saturday, but the service was very attentive and helpful. Since I knew my daughter dress size and what exactly style & color from the last time, I bought her a gift the only thing I needed to do was order the dress then have it directly shipped to her address as a surprise, The store also provides other products besides dresses such as swim shoes. "No matter time of the year it is, it's always summer somewhere." That is a great tag line of Lilly Pulitzer.

It's generally, very bright colors with pinks, greens and blues, these prints are very summery. I like the fall and winter collection that's currently in the store, which embraces more jewel tones. Going into a Lilly store isn't an everyday occurrence for me, since there's only three stores in all of Connecticut. You have to truly love what you're getting from a Lilly store, an acrylic (which isn't my favorite material) sweater will run you $118. The store is beautiful and their staff is lovely.

This is a fantastic store and I'm very grateful that our new apartment is close to one - especially…read morewhile the country is experiencing the heaviest inflation we have seen in forty years. While it might not look like much from the outside and the inside is a little dreary...there are deals aplenty if you're willing to concede on frills for the sake of a bargain. I've seen other posters state that they didn't find any discounts on name brand items, however, I have snagged pantry items (including gourmet imports from Europe) on sale, Dawn dish soap on sale, and a whole slew of other items. My two main points for anyone shopping here are these: 1. Name brand does not always indicate best quality. There are plenty of imported brands, small artisan brands (I'm talking to you, peanut-butter aisle..), and less well known brands that are equally as good - if not better. Don't be afraid to actually take a chance on something that is unfamiliar. You might surprise yourself. 2. Check the expiration date on food products. While I am not so picky about best-by dates for certain products there have definitely been products that have been expired and/or past their best-by date sitting on the shelf. While a best-by date is a simple recommendation for best flavor, in some cases, in other cases it can directly impact the quality of the item. Use discretion and if you aren't sure - google it. :)
