I've been to the Westport store several times. This is a reasonably priced boutique, most items are trendy, some might be more office appropriate. They also sell jewelry, but none of it is sterling silver. They also sell shoes and accessories. This is the type of store where you might find something very similar at a high end retailer. The sales associates are very friendly, personable and love to chat. The store is easy to navigate, fitting rooms are also available. Bobbles & Lace is a small women's store worth checking out.

I went here on a weekday with maybe one or two other customers in the store. I went to get a…read morefitting room and an employee asked my name and then told me to go into whichever fitting room was free. All the curtains were opened so I went into the first one. As I'm trying on the shirt someone starts tapping on the fitting room frame saying hello hello and I responded that I was in there. The voice says " yeah this one wasn't open" and reaches their arm in to grab two pairs of jeans hanging on hooks on one of the walls. I thought they'd just been left there but immediately was embarrassed and thought "wow okay that's an aggressive customer to reach in while someone's changing but ok, my mistake for taking your room I guess." But THEN when I came out of the fitting room I realized it was an employee who had reached into the room while I was changing to restock the jeans. I was really taken aback that they were unable to wait another two minutes and instead opened the curtain while I was changing to reach in and grab items. I felt very violated and don't want to return to this store.

I couldn't find any I liked in my size, but he dug down into a drawer and found just what I was looking for. He also helped me select a stylish belt in my size. My purchases were quick and easy thanks to him. While at the checkout counter I asked why he was working in the store alone. He gave the same reason so many businesses are struggling to find help in these post COVID days. There's no incentive to work when the taxpayers pay so well with all the "stimulus" money on top of open-ended unemployment benefits. I just shook my head and thanked him for all his help. I'll come back next time I need clothes to fit my fat ass.

The associates were in the back talking the entire time, so I decided they clearly did not need my money because of the poor attitude and selection. I ventured next door to Ralph Lauren, a store 4x as large with a great selection. Immediately, I was greeted by a wonderful sales associate who fetched me a Pellegrino to sip while I shopped, as well as a slew of additional sizes and styles throughout the night. As a testament to their top-notch customer service and selection, I left there with gifts for my brother, along with many unanticipated presents for my husband and hundreds of additional dollars spent. Thanks for the 180-degree departure from VV, RL! I will be skipping your neighbor and visiting again soon, and often!
