She already helped my wife with shoes that slipped in the recent past, so I decided to go back to the Shoe Mill when I had the same issue with a new pair of shoes, and guess who was there again. So, what makes Michelle great at her job and stand out above the rest, she is a creative problem solver. She didn't just point me in the direction of the insoles, which there is a small wall full. The insoles were not cushiony, I really thought it was going to be a bust before Michelle came to save the day. I didn't need hard supportive insoles, I needed as she put it, to take up space. This also added cushion, which is what I wanted. I should add she remembered both my wife and I, and my wife's very unique shoes.... That's impressive. My shoes felt great and no longer slipped in the back. I will come back for any issues with fit, only because of Michelle. Over the past several months, we had intended to exchange them, but life got in the way--whether it was forgetting the receipt or just being too busy. Yesterday (Sunday, July 13), we finally made it to the store. It was a very busy afternoon, and while I searched for parking, my girlfriend went inside. She was initially told by the customer service representative that the shoes could not be returned due to the time that had passed. She wasn't upset, just a bit disappointed--after all, she simply wanted to get the right size for me. As she was leaving the store, the store manager, Rob, approached her and asked if she had found what she was looking for. She explained the situation, and Rob immediately brought her back to the customer service counter, authorized the return, and even offered an updated style of shoe. Rob's actions turned a potentially disappointing experience into a perfect example of phenomenal customer service. He went above and beyond to ensure we left with a positive impression--and most importantly, a smile. First of all, their underwear area was a complete disaster the last time I visited. The floor was completely covered in bras, almost piled up to my knees... I was very confused like I must have missed the apocalypse. This time I was able to really see all of the merchandise! It was laid out so nicely on racks. I swear they used to have carpet... all I know is that it was smooth concrete, so easy to walk around and I don't have to dig through things to find my size. This isn't a bin situation. They also rearranged the shoes and the aisles do seem a touch smaller there which, as far as complaints go, that is a small one. It was also nice that their sizes and the way each of the racks are marked seemed way better. I am a sort of odd sizing and ladies, can we discuss for a moment a few key things. Those of us with substantial breasts... why do all clothing manufacturers want to put a billboard of some type on our chest? And since I am a larger size now and older... it's nice that you want to allow us to show off parts but everything is either a tent or I'm practically naked. And, stop making clothing for larger sizes with material that has zero give. I'm going to rip it even just trying it on! I did find several amazing dresses though that were just perfect... showing off the curves without horribly uncomfortable material. You can always tell the trends happening while going down.
