She runs her business out of her home, it's an easy miss to drive past so make sure to drive slowly when you're approaching! She also sells aloe vera products too if you'e interested in that. I usually only go to get my pants hemmed, which I believe costs $10 a pair. But this does depend on the fabric material; for example selvedge jeans would cost extra. I'm not entirely sure of the scope of her services, but I know my brother got a suit tailored here before and other reviews make it seems like she has a wide array of services for different articles of clothing. I called her at 11 AM on a Saturday morning, praying that someone would be able to hem my 2 layered dress shorter the same day cause I needed it the same night of. Anyways, short story short, Van took my request to hem my dress and have it finished within a couple hours. She even hemmed my other dress as well even though I told her it was not as urgent!!! Hems were impeccable and her work is really outstanding. I really appreciated the fact that despite the short notice and how busy she is (throughout my fitting and pinning, she had 4+ customers stop by within a span of 30 minutes!!!), she still took care of me and my dresses! Just dropped off my raw/selvedge denim jeans at Van's! She is super nice and definitely knows what she is doing! I took my Imperial Dukes there to have them hemmed and tapered. She said she can taper off the inside seam so I can keep the selvedge line and stitch them back with original stitching! I'm super excited to see the finish product! Just to give you an idea, I had numerous pairs of designer jeans from when I was 230 lbs, I lost about 70 lbs and instead of just giving up on them, I brought them to Van and she was able to pretty much make new jeans out of them. Last year, I ordered a prom dress online and it was just all around big, the straps around the waist and on the back were intricately bejeweled. Prom was in a week and I was desperate! I searched on Yelp and I decided to give this place a try. Loved it, she works at home (take off your shoes when you enter). The return time was incredible, I went on a Saturday and got it back the following Thursday and it fit perfectly. She had to cut and shorten the straps and therefore take off some jewels to adjust them and I was scared she'd have to unravel the string of jewels and some would go missing but no, it was professionally done. My brother is getting married in the fall and we ordered our bridesmaid dresses online and it was noted that the length might be longer than wanted so I will definitely be returning to her place! read more

I found Van through Yelp after desperately looking for a place that could slim down a pair of dress pants and a suit jacket before I left to Japan for an exchange program. Van was absolutely wonderful: She was so sweet in asking me what I wanted done and making it completely certain that I would be more-than-satisfied with the results. She was able to alter both my pants and my suit jacket and have it ready for me the next morning before I left the country. Not only were the alterations done fast and very professionally (she's the real deal: she's worked at Men's Wearhouse and Macy's as a tailor/alterer), she charged next-to-nothing for it. If I remember correctly, it was only $15 or $20 total for both the pants and suit jacket. Sometimes I take great people who are novices in their line of work for granted....like Van. I've brought a poop load of items to her over the past couple of years, including my prized, beloved Joe Pavelski U S A Olympic jersey and Van does not disappoint. My Momotaro 0705SPs are not an easy pair of jeans to work with. I wanted them hemmed to the original hem and tapered, while keeping the integrity of the selvedge. That means that the jeans would need to be tapered from the inside, which involves unstitching the thread and restitching the same thread. Many tailors would have not been able to complete this specific task without error but Van's did a perfect job. She also hemmed the length of the jeans perfectly, where I can cuff it slightly to show the pink selvedge ID. She's precise, and knows what she is doing.
