Preferred Plumbing & Heating

I have a recording studio in my basement that has unfortunately been soaked by blown steam heat…read morepipes a few times over the last several years. To hire a boiler companies to come out and replace pipes is insanely expensive, and not really worth it if they are not working on the boiler itself. (I don't think the pipe cares who replaces it)! That part out of the way, after having major disasters in the past, and calling some local boiler companies (who I won't name), I tried Preferred plumbing last year and again this morn. They came out and fixed it before there was any damage. Unlike the boiler company who was scheduled out for weeks and let me stew in my own live steam. Matt, and Brett, and Cooper are the best! Great guys - they know what they're doing, and they don't waste your time. They're so personable, I probably wasted THEIR time talking to them too much! I'm so satisfied that I have decided to finally replace the waterline in my house sometime in the next few months, using Preferred Plumbing, because I completely trust them now. Not only were they quick to respond, they did great work, they did it well, and as usual, they came in at a very reasonable price. I grew up in Michigan, but I've only been back here since 2015, and you know how hard it is to find professionals that you can trust in a new town. I totally trust Matt and his crew, and I would suggest that if you have any plumbing/heating needs you give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

I paid my deposit on May 7th, furnace was installed on May 20th, they didn't pull the permit until May 31st and that's because I called the office to ask about my rough inspection. Office staff LIED to me saying there was an "problem" with the permit. The "problem" was they didn't do their job. I was 3 weeks behind on my remodel because of this. When I called to speak to a manager, the owner (Nick) instantly attacked me saying I wouldn't be happy if they offered me a million dollars, they install 50 units a week so what did I expect and that he didn't want to work with me and he was going to come and rip the equipment out. When Fleetwoods FINALLY called the rough-in inspection, the furnace was NOT installed to code (no fresh air return) and there was a GAS LEAK. I didn't trust their company to finish the job so I hired another company. Save yourself time and stress and pick any other company that actually wants your business and behaves professionally. UPDATE: this is in response to the owner's (Nick) reply below. I copied his reply and added documents below so you can see for yourself the date the permit was pulled. There is copy of my invoice dated on May 7. There is also a copy of the permit- which you can see yourself was not requested until May 31st. I called the office about every 4 days checking on my rough-in inspection. The office staff lied and jerked me around for 3 weeks until I finally asked to speak to a manager- that's when the owner berated me like I was some kind of criminal for wanting my inspection so I could install my drywall and move into my home. I have text messages from the owner stating they called the rough inspection in (which they DID). I hired another company to finish the job after finding the furnace wasn't installed to code. I have documentation of all of this. My GC was the initial contact for the QUOTE. The invoice was paid and emailed TO ME and I was present for the full installation. I called the office several times to request a rough-in inspection and specifically requested that I be the ONLY contact for this job. They said they would come and remove the equipment if I signed a release- I do not trust them not to damage my home and/or reimburse my money. They then offered me a "discount" (which is only a fraction of my out of pocket) on this deal. Those are the ONLY options offered to me. I was supposed to receive a 10-year parts warranty on my equipment (listed on my invoice below) but they NEVER registered mine and now it's too late. My out of pocket expenses with the $ I paid another company, 3 weeks rent while the office was jerking me around, and an after-market warranty is $6,063- and that's NOT including all the stress and extra work I had to do to pass final inspection. If anyone would like to see further documentation proving my statements made here, please reach out and I can provide them for you.

Plumber said you need a snake to unclog it and I didn't bring one. Charged my son $250. My son said your website says free estimates. Plumber replied, estimates are free. This is a diagnostic fee.
