The float pod is filled with Epsom salt and water is heated to skin temperature so it's super comfortable. The high concentration of salt makes it easy to float on your back and the tank is large enough for you to stretch. The tank is soundproof and can be made dark or you can keep the light on. If you make it dark this gives you a sensory deprivation experience that will encourage you to go into a quiet, meditative state while floating. The salt in the solution will also help you with stress relief and dull pains and aches. I like buying a package of them for better value but if it's your first best to buy only one to see if you like it .
