Salt The Spa is located in a gorgeous area of Wellington. We pulled up to a tiny shopping center and the spa was next door to a cute cafe. The outdoor brick pavers lent to an overall charming area. Upon walking in, I was a bit disappointed. It looked like a beauty salon - not the spa like den I was expecting. Many clients were getting manicures and pedicures and were LOUDLY chatting and laughing, as were the employees. This noise penetrated the door to my massage room for my entire appointment. I would suggest addressing this aspect so that ALL clients have a nice and pleasant experience. There were three of us with appointments for 90 minute massages. My two friends were scheduled together in the salt room and I would have my massage in a room at the front of the store. My friends went into the large salt room. I peeked in and it looked lovely. They said it was a bit crowded with two massage tables but it worked out well. I went into my private room with a large window preventing my treatment to be given in a dim space. It was still a very clean and lovely room. Now with all of the logistics covered - I want to say that Anna my Therapist gave me one of the best massages I have ever received! I want to move to Wellington so I can have an appointment with her every week. Anna was tuned into all of the tension in my body and expertly addressed what I needed with the right amount of pressure. She was so kind and caring. As each minute ticked by, I could feel the difference she was making. I LOVED my massage!! Before I left Anna gave me an ice cold bottle of water. Just what I needed. Had an amazing massage with Anna! The room was nice and quiet and the I couldn't hear anyone else talking or walking by. She used hot stones and I never once heard her opening or closing the door to the stone heater. She was super mindful of my problem areas and very soft spoken when she had to communicate with me. Staff was irritable and unprepared for my visit. I was asked 3 times what services I was scheduled for and felt as if I was bothering the staff when I asked what room/can I have water. During my custom facial I was told passive aggressive comments about my skin and it made me feel self conscious. After the facial I didn't know where to go for my massage, and I found the room and the staff was changing the linen from a precious service and was aggravated "I was early". The hot stone massage was terrible, the staff kept sighing heavily and slamming the hot stones back into the warmer and it really took away from the relaxing environment. The salt room was cool, but the salt got all over my clothes- I wish they would've given me a robe to wear. Overall I felt as if I was annoying the workers for having services scheduled? I went to the spa with my two daughters to have a relaxing girls day. We enjoyed the overall experience and left relaxed. The Salt Room was a great experience and very relaxing. The major problem with our appointment was that it seemed like the person in charge did not know how to place us in our massages and facials rooms. We booked the appointments a month and a half sooner so placing us in our rooms should have been planned. They kept asking us what we were there for... and were overall confused. They did not have robes ready and eventually we were given itchy small robes that did not fit. We are tall and a little on the plus side so perhaps having softer and accommodating sizes would be something to think about. Soft sandals or slippers to wear would have been nice since I had to put my shoes on to move into the facial room. My hot stone massage was very nice but two things occurred that almost ruined the experience. The stool the person was sitting on was squeaky and loud. The person had issues getting the hot stones out off the heating machine and kept slamming the door. I knew the loud sound was coming every time she reached for hot stones. Remember the clients head is right next to the loud stool and door to the hot stones. My daughter enjoyed the sauna but it was small and not like the picture on the website. I would suggest having a person watch the time and know when the client is done to show them to the shower area. She did not know where to go and just got dressed. Someone eventually told her where to take a shower and then she felt a lot better. The overall experience was nice but we felt like we did not have enough customer service. We wanted to feel like they knew we were there and doted on a little more. read more

So disappointing, this is not a salt spa but a nail salon with a tiny salt room with 2 massage table on top of each other. I was greeted by the massage person (never introduced herself) said "anything I should know about and you can remove your clothes and you can lie face up". Never offered to heat the bed, the room was very cold. Did not ask what service I would like or what pressure I would like. I did ask if the bed had a heated pad because I was so cold. I came here today because my mom bought me a gift card for a pedicure. I booked a time with Angela. My mom said she was the best. We had our appointment at 10 am. The nice lady at the front offered us cookies when we walked in. The place was empty since they had just opened up. The business is also kept very clean. Angela greeted me and was very friendly. She sat me down and put me in a nice leather chair which massaged and vibrated. Angela used a razor for my feet which took off so much gross stuff. Angela then massaged my feet and took those clippers and pick tools and dug in for the long hall lol. When she was all finished which was about an hour my wife was very happy and approved of Angela and her pedicure My wife wants me to come back here more often then a once a year thing which I try to even extend longer. read more

I booked an appointment for a facial with Patricia who was specifically recommended. Over the phone they were so kind to squeeze me in as soon as they could since I had an event the next morning. I had an amazing experience with results that exceeded expectations and facials at Salt will now become routine in my life. I hope to go back soon for other services as well. What a lovely experience! I live in Montana, but wanted to get my Mama a few treatments when I was visiting. I found a few groupons, and one was for the infrared sauna. I love going to one back home so I got her a package to see if she liked it. First off, I called to ask a few questions. The receptionist was so sweet and accommodating. She got us right in. I decided to get a laser teeth whitening while she was in the sauna. On arrival, we were greeted by our lovely hostess. She offered us all kinds of things! So sweet. Got us all fixed up in our respective spots. Very patient with us, which we appreciated since my Mama is using a walker after an injury. She gave us a tour of the facility and the salt room looked amazing. Mama absolutely loved her sauna treatment and it helped ease some of her pain and she had a great detox. My gums are pretty sensitive, so they weren't super happy about the whitening. I was very pleased with the results! Could see a huge difference! Our sweet hostess even sent us a beautiful card in the mail! What a sweetheart. All the other guests were enjoying themselves and many were regulars. Very clean and exceptional service. read more

Went into Salt the Spa today for a crazy hour facial and hour full body massage deal. You seriously can't beat the price and quality. The owner did both for me, and it was hands down the best massage I've ever had! The facial was so relaxing, and she extracted all the stuff i know id scar if i touched. The owner is so sweet and personable and even gave me a tour of spa after. She has so many amazing amenities you will not find anywhere else like a epson salt tank, himalayan rock room, and much more. Such a gorgeous clean shop with capable, and highly trained staff. What a great experience...booked a float session and a pedicure. The place is very calming and quiet....everyone was very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable immediately. The float pod is in a private room where you shower and then get into the pod. It takes a few minutes to "calm your body" but once the lid is down and it is quiet....your body just relaxes. I almost fell asleep twice! I thought I would have a hard time floating but the bouncy in the water makes it very easy. After a shower and redressing, I was greeted by Patty and guided to the pedicure chair, the foot soak and massage are amazing and the pedicure was great. I hate to do this and was contemplating writing a review and decided to go forward with it since I want to keep other people from experiencing what I experienced. I got my underarms waxed (for the first time) yesterday here. I did some looking around and found this place close to my house and it had good reviews. Stupid me now knows to go to places that specialize in waxing so this doesn't happen again. Long story short, the waxer: 1 did not wear gloves 2 used old fashioned strip and cloth wax 3 went over the SAME spots approximately 6 times each and this is not an exaggeration and 4 did not even apply any type of cooling or relieving cream after the wax was over. This was hands down one of the most painful and unprofessional experiences I've ever had and it shouldn't have been that way at all. Please DO NOT get waxed here!! My underarms are still red and irritated this morning!! I don't even want to know how many layers of skin were pulled off. Maybe their other services are good but they really need to up their waxing game or just get rid of that service all together. read more

Me and my mom went for a facial/deep tissue massage and we were both very impressed. My mom enjoyed her facial and boasted about it the rest of the day. The woman who did it wasn't trying to push products on her the whole time so she was able to actually relax during it.
