Beware: There are so many red flags here.. I don't know where to start. I want to start by saying that nail techs and staff ARE very nice and friendly. They require a $25 deposit to make an appointment (which I have never heard of), but we were grateful to find same day appointments. Cleanliness: I didn't see anything come of of a sterilizing machine, soak, or freshly opened package. The arm rest I had to use to rest my arms didn't look clean and he didn't even put a paper towel over it like the other nail techs. Lots of disappointing surprises: Unless you ask for a "polish change", I have never been to a nail salon that didn't remove cuticles, shape nails and get them ready to be done. They also include lotion and a hand massage. Most salons in the CT also include neck massages while nails are drying, but I do know that is not everywhere. At this salon, unless you ask them to "add a manicure" to your dip or gel nails, this normal part of nail services is NOT included. They wanted to charge my an extra $20 for lotion and cuticle care on top of the $45 for the Next Gen Dip service. Unreal. Also they only shape your nail with a file *after* polishing it. They readily & proudly admit that they don't want to do it twice, so only file and shape nails after painting them. The problem with this is that the very tips of your nails are without polish! To be fair our nails (except for the white, polish free tips) did come out nice. That said, my sister and I agree we have never felt so rushed and un-relaxed leaving a nail salon. We would not go back, and suggest you go elsewhere. read more

Negative 10 is what my review is. First of all you will get Asphyxiate just being in the salon (if you want to call it that). No air is circulating and the smell in there is Toxic! The door is closed packed with people feels dirty. The woman doing my nails kept looking at her watch. Secondly she carried around a glass jar with three cotton balls and some liquid in it to remove my nail polish. I know it sounds like a horror film. No after being in there way too long and dealing with this lazy nail lady four hours my nails were clumpy the nail polish is old. I really can't make this stuff up. This place should be close down by the cosmetology board. read more

Vanity Nails - My nails got a severe chemical damage according to my dermatologist. It is on both hands - Nail Salons Near Me - Wellington, Florida

This is what they did to my nails! The technician was just about to apply nail polish before I had to stop this. None of the dead skin around the nails has been cleaned but the worst part is that she used a very rough filer on the surface of my nails which left this awful ridged texture all over them. Now I have to wait for weeks for this to grow out. Never had a worse service. Update: the owner/manager did reach out and tried to make it right and I can certainly appreciate that. read more

This is now my 3rd time getting my nails done with Vanity. I absolutely love them!!! The staff is so friendly, and I truly appreciate the extra care of cleaning/social distancing provided in the salon. Upon entry everyone has to go and wash their hands, after each appointment the areas are immediately cleaned & sanitized. They are all very professional, and organized!! Omg the best part lol. No matter what technician you're placed with; they equally are amazing and talented. They're officially stuck with me! An extra plus, the salon itself is beautiful, clean, and just an environment to destress & forget about everything outside. read more

I used to love coming here but some of the new techs aren't up to par. My mom and I went and we both had nexgen already on. THEY CHARGE TO REMOVE IT IF IT WASNT DONE THERE. The process of taking it off went smoothly but during the application fingers were coming out uneven, there were patches where the powder didn't stay. My moms fingers came out uneven AFTER the filing. My tech needed up drawing blood on one finger and almost on a few others. During the top coat application my moms tech kept touching them before they were dry so she'd have to take off the whole coat and redo it?? And the layers were so thick! Mine came out nice through the blood. I called afterwards to get my moms redone the next morning and they still messed it up! Somehow the hand that didn't need to be fixed came out looking worse than when she went in! And they didn't trim her nails they just slapped on more powder. I used to love coming here but unless you personally know the owner or they know you it's like mean girls. read more

The first time I went in they gave me a girl who was new and didn't inform me. She was so rude but later realized because she was so frustrated because she had no idea what I was talking about because her knowledge on nail care was so minimal. She did a good job but they clearly overcharged. They charged me $63 for a set with gel and I went in again to get a pedicure and saw on they're chat a full set with gel is $45!!!!!!! Then the girl who did my pedicure didn't even ask what kind I wanted or show me the sheet. I found it as my toes were drying. I sat for 20 minutes letting my toes dry and they didn't which means she didn't tour a top coat. They got ruined within a couple minutes. It's frustrating because I love how clean this place is and the vibe is great. Good lighting great music. But the service is mediocre. read more

I have heard so many amazing things about this salon and I am just so disappointed. I went in Friday morning for a gel manicure, by the end of the night two of my fingers were chipping. That's no big deal, I went got it repaired the following Saturday morning and all was well. However, it is now Sunday (they are closed) and I have two DIFFERENT nails chipping. I am going out of town tomorrow and will now have to go somewhere else and pay again to have my nails done properly. On top of that my cuticles weren't even really trimmed. When it comes to designs and nail art this is clearly the place to go! Full of talented staff. However, for a basic manicure I wouldn't go here again. read more

The owner Jenny is way out of line with your prices. You do not stand by your workers work. I paid up front for a service that was not complete. First you give me some crazy story about constantly jumping out of the chair. HUGE LIE! I questioned you on a price that made no sense. First of all I would've kept the color I had on next GEN if you carried any selection of any dipping powders. Being that most of your work is just done with acrylic you don't have much of a selection with the dipping powders. You have 1 million examples of it but nothing to follow through with it so yes I had to change my mind. My appointment was at 3:45 I was there at 3:35 was not taken till 4:03 because of that I had to come back for my nails that were not finished. I like a fool paid upfront. I'm sure if I did not pay for the work upfront you would've got me in the next day. Instead of you doing the work the next day you try pointing it off on the girl that couldn't be there. Poor business poor everything. You do not stand by your work you do not stand by your employees you don't stand by anything. When you leave at your business...it's like leaving at your own risk. Wish I didn't feel like that you have some talented people working for you but unfortunately they don't stay. Sorry I can't post this read more

rip off... work is sub par and overpriced. Employees aren't accommodating, nails were popping off within days. they don't stand by their work. phones go unanswered or you need to text to make a appointment. Owners do not stand by the work that leaves their door. Very unprofessional. read more

Really really love getting the NexGen done here! They have an insane color range...definitely something for everyone! They are all fast, courteous, and friendly. I have worked with most of their techs - Don, Melissa, Susan, etc. and they're all wonderful. I do usually ask for an extra layer of the NexGen since I'm tough on my nails, and they've accommodated me without issue. They specialize in designs and charms, but I'm too boring to try them...an accent nail is really as far as I go. I've also never had other services done, but I know they do lashes, pedis, manis, gel, and acrylic - including ombré and glow. They have steady business, so I highly recommend calling early or a day (or two during winter/equestrian season) in advance for an appointment! read more

As I understand it, my wife went in to get her nails done. She had shown them what color and finish she wanted from their selections the previous day. She again reiterated what she wanted when she walked in however, after they had applied remover to her existing nail polish they told her they did not have time to do what she wanted and told that they could only do a basic. Needless to say, she came home very angry as she felt it very dishonest on their part because she was very clear about what she wanted upon entering the door. She won't be back. read more

Vanity Nails - The inside of the place I'll take better pictures next time because their well be a next time. - Nail Salons Near Me - Wellington, Florida

I do not recommend this salon and I will not go here again. I've been getting my nails done for about 30 years so I've been to several different salons. This is the only place I've ever been to in my whole life that CHARGES YOU TO TAKE OFF YOUR OLD POLISH! Yes, you read that right, they charge you a fee to remove what is already on your nails! Not only is this absurd, but they don't even let you know about this charge until you go to pay. It's not posted anywhere on their website, it's not posted anywhere on their Facebook page, and it's not posted anywhere in the shop. Not only that, but even if you tell them you already have stuff on your nails when you call to make the appointment, they STILL don't tell you that there's a charge. They also charge a fee for using a credit card, which is also not posted anywhere and they don't mention it either. You find out when you swipe your card. My daughter and I went for nexgen manicures, and what should've cost $70 (before tip) ended up costing $82.60 (before tip). That's a huge difference! NOT ok!! I contacted them immediately after our appointments and told them all of this to give them a chance to make it right. They didn't care and were totally uninterested in trying to appease the situation. I didn't ask for a refund. I tried to allow them to come up with a way to keep us as customers, and they made it clear that they didn't care if we returned or not. Nexgen manicures typically easily last 2-3 weeks. My daughter had the nexgen crack on one of her nails after only 7 days, and mine were beginning to lift at the back by day 9. At the 2 week mark, all but 2 of mine were lifting so badly that I had to go get them done again. Somewhere else, of course! So at this point I didn't care anymore that they didn't make good on the overcharging because the manicures didn't last. The only reason I'm giving this salon even 1 star is because the woman who did my nails was very sweet and they looked nice when she was done. Do NOT go here! read more

Today, I had my nails done at Vanity and I'm just really not comfortable with the service I received. I had an idea for the set that I wanted and the receptionist even made my appointment for today so I could be with someone who knew how to do nail art. My plan was to get purple nails with either or sparkles or stars painted on my nails for a galaxy themed nail set. I paid a $20 deposit to book my appointment. When I got there they put me with the technician and I started explaining my ideas to her. She started giving me ideas and telling me about other designs that she thought might be better. I had no idea that these ideas were really just ways to make my nails more expensive. She suggested that I get an ombre and use the glow-in-the-dark nail polish. She said the polish would look purple in certain lighting. I then explained to her that I wanted a "Leo" themed set because my birthday is coming up (that's the only reason I wanted to get my nails done). I asked her if she had any stickers with the shape of a lion or if she could paint one and she said no. Then she just grabbed crystals and started adding them to my nail set. She painted a Leo symbol on one of my nails along with stickers that said Leo. Then she proceeded to just start sticking crystals on all of my nails. I felt like she forced all these ideas on me and I ended up with something that I didn't really want. When it was time to pay my total was $115 ($137 because I was dumb enough to tip even though I wasn't happy)!!!!!!!! I was shocked, I didn't even know what to say, I didn't want to cause a scene so I just paid and left even though I was terribly terribly upset. It's not even the price of the nails that is upsetting it's the fact that I didn't get what I wanted and I feel taken advantage of. While I was getting my nails done, a girl sat down with the nail tech next to us and she started trying to convince that girl to get the glow-in-the-dark nail polish too!!! Which makes me think they must just be trying to get rid of it or something! When I got home I realized that the $20 deposit I put down didn't even go towards my nails I guess they just pocketed it, WHICH MAKES ME FEEL EVEN MORE ROBBED!!! I can't lie, the nails are absolutely beautiful. But they're not something I would ever choose for myself and they're not what I wanted AT ALL. Every time I look at them it's just a reminder of how much money I wasted. read more

If you love "instagram" type nails, this is one of the only places in south FL that'll give you exactly what you want for a great price. The staff is friendly and cool and will actually have a conversation with you while getting your nails done. I always go to Jenny or her husband Don. Their work is always impeccable and we always have a fun time chatting, as they are hilarious. I often dm Jenny on the vanity nails instagram page with pics of nails i want and she'll let me know prices and if they are able to achieve the design/color/etc. I haven't had a bad experience here yet. They are always transparent about their prices and let me know as i'm getting my nails done if something i ask for requires an up charge, which is appreciated since most nail places don't let you know until you go to pay. Also, if you become a returning/regular customer they definitely take care of you. Such a great establishment with a great environment. I can't speak for if you get short nails/natural nails because i never get that type of manicure, but if you like bold designs and instagram nails this is THE place to go in south florida!!!! read more
