I used to love coming here. I came back after not getting my nails done for a year, and I am actually really disappointed in how my pedicure turned out. I wanted a simple French pedicure, and the lines aren't even straight. I have cute feet too, and this French manicure just looks terrible. I mean I was correcting the girl so many times she seemed like she didn't know how to do it and it is very difficult for me to be pushy and I'm a bit of a pushover so I let her finish and I just left I couldnt keep trying to correct her anymore. It wasn't going to get any better. Even if it's not gel, it can still look good so I'm not sure what the issue was.I will not be coming back sorry. read more

Update I am officially at the week mark and pretty much all of my nails are chipping and peeling off at this point. Honestly this is the worst nail experience I have had and I've played basketball with acrylics and they lasted. I got gel on my normal nails and you mean to tell me they can't even last a week? Last update. Another stylist said they don't even think they used gel. And I concur. So I probably paid for a gel manicure and pedicure and they used regular polish if her theory is correct. I hate this. Can't even enjoy getting your nails done because you have to watch the tech like a hawk to make sure they are doing what they are supposed too. How is that relaxing? read more

I gave this place another chance since I haven't been there in a while and just hoped the last rude employee was gone. I thankfully didn't have her again and the woman who did my pedicure was great. Went there for the first time, gave it a try, my tech worked hard, but the bleach blonde Asian lady came to our work table during me getting my nails done and started to change the price that I was already quoted on when I walked in, very unprofessional on her part! She even called a guy to have him talked to me about some $5 nail Lenght increase! Really! I am done! Not going back! Talk about some stupid way to treat clientele! I made an appointment and arrived early and was and always am taken early or right on time. They usually always have availability, i've never had trouble getting an appointment. All the techs are so talented. Most of them do designs and FLAWLESSLY. I've now been going to Vivian for several months and have always left in love with my nails!!! Well... I'm disappointed. Not a terrible manicure but for the prices I was expecting better. My issue is that the lady didn't take the time to give me a good manicure and was very sloppy with her work. Also I'm pregnant and she keep touching my belly which I found very inappropriate, I never told her to do so or said that it was okay. I got gel pedicure and manicure and I'm honestly not impressed, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I was a little apprehensive since I had been seeing Lily for so many years..... and I was truly grateful that Lily and I were able to communicate during her absence. Today was my first time back in a while. They have gotten really cheap with the amount of product they use on you. Absolutely no product was put into the tub for my feet to soak in, barely put any foot scrub onto a very tiny scrubber and proceeded to rub my skin raw because of it. Massage? I'm not sure how to even describe what it was. It was more like applying oil and calling it a day. The staff is always very nice but this place has declined over the years. I only came here today because I had a gift certificate. I told my husband thanks but no thanks next time! I won't be coming back! read more

I always love coming here whenever I am visiting my parents! I live down south and have had trouble finding a relaxed nail salon environment that does a great job. There is always someone there to greet you and help manage to get you in and out. The salon is beautiful! They keep the home improvement channel on and play peaceful music the whole day. The chairs are very comfortable and everyone is really good at manicures/pedicures. I never make an appointment with someone specifically because everyone there is competent enough to deliver a quality nail experience! They sometimes offer you drinks ranging from water, Thai tea or wine! Besides the relaxed environment and friendly staff all the equipment they use is new with plastics wrapping on it! I haven't been to La Vies in a while.. things have changed from the last time I've gone. They barely greet you once you arrive. I went in for an eye brow wax. Everything seemed fine until I came home and really looked at my brows. The lady who did my brows left residue on my eyebrows. There are still some spots on my eyebrows that needed some cleaning. Tron and Lily own this adorable nail spa, I can see they work extremely hard to keep everything up to date. Tron is very personable and a great man, when you're there you're family (didn't mean to quote Olive Garden)! I love the Deluxe pedi's, the massage chairs are so relaxing. This is a place to escape from the world and come back rejuvenated! Only thing I can recommend is just keeping up with the appointments. Once they start keeping up with appointments, no one will ever go less that 5 Stars. This place is absolutely perfect. I don't have anyone else touch my nails. Yikes..... saw the bad reviews and ignored them. That's never smart. Let's start with the fact that I called and made an appointment for 1:30. I got there and was virtually ignored until 2pm. I was left to soak ... for... 30 mins. It was clear that they did that to stall because they were understaffed. An appointment had no value. After the 3rd nail tech finally sat down and committed to doing my nails, I was already drained and my day was shot. The icing on the cake is that my nails turned out terrible. I got gel, and they tech put so many layers that they look like little balls. The corners of my nails were missed. I wasn't even offered a drink or anything and the entire ordeal ran me $40. Go. My first time here I figured let me try this place since I pass by it so many times. Well my white French manicure came out perfect the guy was a pro! - buttttt my pedicure sucked! Unfortunately when I got home I noticed that my mani did not match my pedi! I did not get the same person to do my pedicure, the lady was indifferent and her foot massages and everything she did was just blah! She put me under the foot drier and basically forget me. If you're doing somebodies mani pedi you must make sure everything matches. And my left foot toes are uneven. $75 that's what it cost me to be an unmatched girl. read more

Just moved here and needed to find a new nail salon. I saw this one while shopping at a nearby store, so I decided to give it a try. I can't say I was super impressed. I was going to get a regular manicure/ pedicure but my nail tech talked me into doing gel. Whenever I had my nails done in Denver, it took about 65-70 minutes. This took a little over an hour and a half which was ok.... however, my thumb nail is already chipping a little two days later. I think I'll try another place. read more

Here is a 3rd review of this nail salon. My mom and I came here recently as we were able to have a last minute dinner together. We scheduled an appointment for 4 PM and I decided to ask about a gel manicure since I was there a little early. There was a lot going on in the small space they have for the front desk area and I don't think they have an actual front desk employee. There was a gentleman there that was directing traffic but he was also on his phone most of the time as well. It took a very long time to get our service started, and we ended up doing the manicure first. My nail tech was so sweet and she did a great job with my short nails. I did find it odd that she used the nail tool for a gel manicure but she still cleaned up my nails and shaped them! I choose a light blue/teal color that is very very transparent that it definitely needed at least 3 coats and she only did two, and there was a lot of dust/bumps on multiple nails. I did ask her to fix one of my thumbs because it was bothering my already but the rest I was able to ignore. Then we were directed to the pedicure chairs but it took quite a while to find nail techs available as everyone was either busy or on the phone or just walking around. Eventually we were able to get started and we both did the highest level pedicure so extended massages with hot stones and the wax for our feet. It was definitely worth the extra money for the polish application was just on. I had a lot of bumps again on my toes and on my big toe you can see where too much polish was applied so it looks bumpy. My mom enjoyed her pedicure but they didn't assist with putting your shoes back on and she ended up ruining her big toe 5 minutes later. Overall it's just ok, they get the job done and all the nail techs seem very friendly and have wonderful relationships with their clients but my nails have never come out fantastically. read more

I came here for a gel manicure from a lady with blonde hair there. I don't remember her name however, she was probably the rudest tech I have had an experience with at the salon. I've been to La Vie multiple times and even got nextgen done there by a great tech that lasted more than a month. During the manicure, my thumb accidentally grazed the side of the UV light and caused a bit of a spot. It wasn't huge nor life-threatening, but the way she responded was so disrespectful: "Whatchu doing??" I was so bewildered by her rude response to a simple mistake that I couldn't wait for her to finish so I could get out of there. She could easily stop to check her watch multiple times but god forbid she had to wait another 60s for curing. Still, I gave her a 20% for the work she did. It was when I got into my car I saw that my right index fingernail was completely thinned out. All of the other nails still somewhat remained to have integrity. I let it go because I did not want to have to deal with her again. Now today, not even a full week later, the polish is peeling and already chipped. I've already gotten gel before, so I know that this is not commonplace. Even when I was disrespected by her, I decided to be kind because I thought she put care into her work, now I realize not four days later I wasted my money. Also, there is no reason for this chip or peeling. I don't work construction. I'm not heavy-handed. Just poor workmanship on her part. read more

I tried La Vie nails for the first time. The manicure felt extremely rushed and I did not receive a number of the services listed (i.e. hot towel, lotion massage). When I approached the owner on this, he mentioned that hot towel service is no longer included and he will one day remove this from their service list. In regards to the hand lotion/ massage, he stated that this service is included and it is something that he personally always provides his customers with therefore, if the lady who did my nails did not provide, I should take it out of her tip. I was shocked that the owner had the audacity to tell a customer to decrease or not tip his employee rather than decreasing the total of the service or talk to his employee about the service received first. COVID hit hard on everyone. The last thing an owner should do is screw over his employees. read more

I have mixed feelings about my visit to La Vie Nails Spa. Had powder polish nextgen removed and a new set done. The atmosphere was okay everyone seems very nice. Normally when I get my nails done I like to feel like I'm getting pampered however The gentleman doing my nails wasn't very gentle and kept pulling and twisting my fingers (I couldn't help it and made the comment that he was about to break my fingers) he was very fast and I didn't feel pampered at all.
