He opened the door, and then said, "What would you like?" As we looked over the cabinet with all of the baked goods which clearly were from days past with the exception of the four new English muffin sandwiches, we decided it wasn't a good idea to eat breakfast here. It's full of coastal walks, tidal pools, lovely beaches and delicious food! For dinner, we shared the citrus salad and it came with gorgeous edible flowers and sliced avocado. For mains, we had the Sirloin nicoise salad and the fish stew. Both were fresh and tasty. It's owners also run the Saturna General Store next door. There are only 3 restaurants in Saturna Island and this one was located close to the ferry terminal and the menu looked great! We also had the pleasure of having brunch the next morning and eggs benny with thick-cut bacon, tomato and a cheese sauce over sourdough bread and the asparagus omelette. You can really taste the love that are put into the dishes! The portions are generous, the food is lovely and often local, and the prices are affordable. Saturna Cafe is an "Island Gem" for sure!
