Working with the entire team at VanDeck was an amazing experience start to finish. I reached out to Vandeck in February and received a follow up call almost immediately. Andriy came to our house a few day after we spoke and measured the space. From there he drew up a design based on the details I had asked for. After he shared the design with us we met again (on the phone) and reviewed some changes we wanted to see in the plans. He was so prompt with updating the visuals I was honestly in awe. After we came to an agreement on design and were given the quote we signed the contract. We opted to pay for the deck in installments which made it much easier for us to move forward with. The team was able to start on our deck about 2 weeks after the contract was signed. It was still winter so weather had prevented them from starting sooner. I also believe our timing was perfect because we were able to get our deck in before the summer rush. The team who built the deck were amazing(Gamlet and Levan). They were so kind, the cleaned up after themselves (they had to bring all of the supplies through our basement as there is no yard access). I felt like the back yard looked cleaner when they were done than it had when they started. The earthquake in NYC hit about a week after the deck was complete and I noticed that one of the posts on our pergola needed longer screws. Other than that there was zero impact on the deck from the earthquake it is so strong and sturdy. I reached out to Andriy and he had the guys over within a day or two to add some additional screws for support. Overall it was an amazing experience working with the Vandeck team and I would absolutely recommend them. If we ever move to a new home I can promise that they will be one of the first calls I make. read more

Vandeck Builders - Deck - Fences & Gates Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

My new deck is beautiful! Andre was very patient with us and our decision making process. Then his team got right to work and we're on schedule. High quality work from a team that knew what they were doing. Love the end result. read more

Vandeck did an amazing job with our yard. We struggled with this yard bc of a 100 year old tree stump and the insane amount of roots that come with it. We didn't even know if someone would be able to build on all those roots, but they had the frame up super fast. The trex (composite wood) they use is absolutely beautiful. The pictures really dont do the lighting justice, so if you're undecided about getting lighting, definitely go for it. It's a large space 16'x12', complicated ground situation, and having to bring materials thru a townhouse (which is super annoying and time consuming for contractors usually), and they still finished it in 8 days, way shorter than anticipated. The start of the job was a little delayed, but they were communicative and it was not a big deal. They're also very nice and polite. read more

VanDeck was a pleasure to work with. Andrey was very responsive, and worked with us going over all our options as we were looking to redo our roof patio. They quickly provided all the documentation we needed to get approval from our coop board. The builders were all professional, on-time every day, and friendly. The project went extremely smoothly and we are so happy with our new deck. It snowed the day the project wrapped up (see photo) but once the weather warms up, we can't wait to put our new deck to good use. Highly recommend. read more

I would highly recommend this company for deck repairs or constructions. I called them for doing extensive repairs to a two-level wooden deck in the backyard. Andrey came over and took measurements and sent some detailed renderings with images in his estimate. The estimate was less than other estimates I received (slightly less than another company I was considering), and none of the other companies took a careful look, if they even came out. The company did the work over a couple weeks in January 2025 with treated lumber, and they did a great job with it. Andrey came over 2-3 times to monitor the work. For a small amount of additional money, they agreed to replace most of the joists on the second level, as they were a bit rotten, although we had agreed on replacing a couple joists originally. The two workers were honest and when one of them mistakenly made a small cut in the mesh of a sliding screen, they reinstalled new mesh a couple days later. We are pleased with the result. read more

I called vandeck builders to rebuild a deck for me and they were prompted with responding. He gave me ideas and certain materials they use. They even sent me samples so I can compare them up close. I requested for two doors at the bottom and they gave me recommendations. I have a weird work schedule and they're willing accommodate me to meet up for payment etc. read more

I'd definitely recommend this company. i saw them online a year ago and they do such beautiful work that I thought they'd be out of my budget, but I called them anyway for a quote. Andrey is really easy to work with, he works with you to spec out what youd like and offers suggestions. He sent a quote and CAD drawing same day to show me exactly what my patio would like in case I wanted to tweek anything . He came the first day to speak with me again , another day mid build , and on the last day . it took them 6 days to complete including tearing down a frame from a builder that screwed up my deck. And no worries, They cleaned up spotlessly after ! Call them for a quote, andrey will work with you to get you something within your budget. I'm really happy with my new deck and recommend Vandeck builders. read more

They did a fantastic job building our rooftop deck. They were on time, courteous and good craftsmen. I highly recommend them.

Vandeck recently finished remodeling a full patio deck at our house. Their estimates of work were accurate, communication of design was transparent, and project management skills are top notch. They're super flexible and work with you to get things just the way you like for as close to your budget as is possible. Communication in all phases of the project was excellent. They finish the work to full completion. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Vandeck Builders. I hired them to build a deck in my backyard. They provided an exceptional contractor experience and final product so I am glad to take the time to publish this review. Throughout the project they demonstrated professionalism, provided knowledgable subject matter expertise, and exhibited a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding results. First and foremost I had a lot of questions as I had no prior knowledge or experience regarding this subject matter. They took the time to listen to my needs and preferences and were always prompt in responding to my inquiries. Their ability to effectively communicate and collaborate made me feel confident that I made the right decision to hire them. The quality of their workmanship was as expected of a professional organization. They paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the project was executed as expected. They consistently arrived on time and completed the work within the agreed-upon timeframe. They were respectful of my property, taking great care to minimize any disruption or mess during the construction process. They provided valuable insights and suggestions throughout the project, helping me make informed decisions that ultimately enhanced the overall outcome. In conclusion, I confidently recommend Vandeck Builders for your projects and I plan to reach out to them if I am in need of their services in the future. read more

Vandeck Builders - This deck was constructed for me by Vandeck Builders - Fences & Gates Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

We shopped around big time and found the Vandeck gave the best service and price out there. We found some ways to cut corners and save money, but for a good price they gave us a deck we love and should last many many years. Also I love that they provide 3D renderings of the deck before building. I didn't see any other companies doing that. That was a huge help. The deck came out on time, for the cost they quoted, and looking great. Highly recommend. read more

great work, done on time, looks beautiful, Andrey very good communication, very happy with the deck.

We recently had Vandeck Builders rebuild/renovate our deck. Right from the first contact, Andriy was thoroughly professional. We had very specific constraints on the window of time when the work could happen, and he was very attentive to our requirements. The communication is excellent - timely and clear. The whole process, from choosing the material or styles, to the scheduling and the work itself, was extremely smooth. Having had to babysit contractors/workers in the past, we were fully expecting to spend substantial amounts of time during the project - this project proved to be a very pleasant departure from that. The workers themselves were also excellent, professional and thorough. We had heavy planters with large plants that needed to be moved - and they did an excellent job of that as well, with no damage to the plants. We are very happy with the overall result - the deck looks excellent, as we head into spring with the garden intact. Highly recommended! read more

The Vandeck company did an amazing job replacing our small staircase into a large 22x18ft composite deck. The workers came everyday on time. Andre the manager was always responsive, helpful and professional. His workers were also very professional and worked hard each day to ensure the project was completed on time. Our deck was built in the 10days that was promised and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Vandeck for any of your decking needs. ® Add read more

A great experience from the first day to the last. Andriy was very responsive from day one. The team built a set up deck (22x 20ish) and replaced fencing at my Chelsea townhouse garden. He provided detailed renderings of options, a clear estimate, and a clear time frame. Van Deck came in on time and on budget. I spoke to two other people before signing the contract, and they both shared the same experience. The workers are there to work....not chat..they were on time and were all business. It was also the same two people every day, which I appreciated. I was impressed then worked through that sub-zero cold snap. When I had a question or needed clarification, Andriy always answered directly and kindly. I would hire them again in a minute. That's usually what I ask people when I ask for recommendations..."Would you hire them again?". My answer is yes for sure. read more

They really did a good job on our deck, I'm very impressed. Andriy is very precise and easy to deal with, very professional. We are really enjoying the deck that we don't have to go out somewhere far and spend a lot, now we are enjoying it with the company of our friends and family, all good comments that we are getting from them. Vandeck replaced a Brooklyn brownstone roof deck for me recently, when I realized that I had become too old and stiff to do it myself, and I was more than pleased with the finished product, Trex composite decking approx. 19'x16' with an L-shaped walkway, and the workmanship. Andriy the boss and Andriy the site manager were exceedingly competent and easy to work with. We scheduled the job for a few months out, to let my newly recovered roof set properly, and they arrived as planned. They started each day a little later than they otherwise might have liked to accommodate my sleep schedule without complaint, and Andriy #2 even surprised me on two occasions with little gifts, East European lemon wafers or candies almost as pleasant as the daily smiles on his face as he began or completed the day's work. Being a short person, when I raised a question as to whether the walkway might be a bit lower near the roof hatch so that I might more readily step up onto the deck, they lowered one section of the walkway to accommodate my request without complaint, stepping the walkway down as needed. Vandeck's owner, a bright young man who I'll call Andriy #1, had his crew provide the materials and begin the work without first demanding and receiving any payment upfront, trusting me as I learned to trust them. And they cleaned up after themselves nicely. I was sufficiently impressed with Vandeck at our first meeting that I determined to hire them on the spot without seeking additional bids, and I'm satisfied that I made the right decision. Good work, good guys. read more

I found Andriy on Craigslist. Called him and told him that I wanted to build a pergola around my existing deck. He started the job a few days later and finished in 2 days. That included sanding and staining my deck. Staining the pergola and building my existing fire pit into the deck (which came out amazing). He was on time, easy to work with, prices very fairly and of course did an amazing job. I reached out to this company back on 5/25/21 in hopes of having Composite wood flooring installed on my existing deck. On 6/10/21 I got an estimate from them. On 6/14/21 I had a representative come to my home and take a look at the existing deck so that I could get more details on the installation. I was told I would get an email in a few days. On 6/18/21 I sent an email to follow up on the estimate because I did not get a response from them. Still no response. On 6/23/21 I sent an email and texted the representative after leaving voicemails as well. The representative responds and says that they would get back to me the next day. I reached out one last time yesterday 6/29/21 after not receiving a follow up. I did not get a response. I am highly disappointed in the lack of communication and professionalism from this company. read more

They did an amazing job on building my floating dock. The attention to details is unbelievable. The dock looks beautiful and I already have neighbors that are asking for Andriey's number. Our Management company referred this company to me to reconstruct my deck on the terrace of my condo. They did a beautiful job and finished when they said they would. (Unheard of when it comes to every other contractor I've hired)!!!! Every cut was precise. Every notch and corner beautiful, flush and unnoticeable! And, the crew are respectful, and professional in every way and their attention to detail showed in the finished product! The owner of the company is a total pro and listened to my concerns and designed a finished product that took all of my concerns and requests into consideration and then executed them.
