Victoria is kind and knowledgeable. I got five IPL sessions from her. Before I began treatments, I asked if five sessions would be enough to see real, lasting results on my skin (for context I have mild acne, pigmentation, broken capillaries, large pores). She said yes definitely.
The first couple sessions I didn't see much improvement, but that is understandable; sometimes it takes multiple sessions to see results. However the more sessions I did, my skin would look great for a day, then I would actually break out more than usual, and my skin would go back to looking like it always does. I took photos of my skin at the start of the treatments and at the end and they looked exactly the same! At the time of my last treatment it's as if she could see my skin looked the same because she said "By the way, these treatments will only give lasting results for a few months and then you're skin will look the same again." This isn't what she told me at all beforehand - she told me it would provide lasting, permanent results. And considering I spent 500+ dollars I would expect it would provide some lasting results.
As a side note, she uses Groupon, and I purchased my first one on in January and since the Groupon states it may be repurchased again every 90 days, I purchased it again after 90 days had passed. I tried to use it, and Victoria says 90 days had not passed since my last session, and therefore I must buy sessions directly from her. This is not the Groupon policy - it has nothing to do with the last session date - it's when you last purchased the Groupon. So I feel like she coerced me into buying more packages when I had already purchased a second Groupon.
One more thing I thought was very strange - I developed three milia on my eye while I was going through treatments. She claimed there's no way it could have been from the treatment, and it could have come from my eye cream so what she's saying could be true - however, what was so strange was that she told me they are permanent and they can only be removed at a doctor's office. This freaked me out because I had never gotten milia in my life and now I would have to get them surgically removed? After the session, a quick google search says they often resolve on their own. Behold, they fell off within the month. Why would she tell me they are permanent with such certainty? I found it pretty weird. read more
