The selections are just like any value village. It's random and you never know what you'll find. The reason I'm giving such a low score is because the service. I had staff walk into me, reach across me to stock shelves, etc during covid. Nevermind that, I found items not tagged that I wanted to buy. Lined up a while to pay because despite having a massive line up, they only open two cash and the other staff are wandering around the store. We get there and then she tells us we can't pay cause she can't price it. Frustrated would be an understatement. If you can't feely untagged items, why are there so many on your floor? There's like 2-3 staff constantly circling the sections checking the items and putting things back. Waste of time... And I've been here a few times now. Never a great experience considering your expectations for value village shouldn't be all that high to start.

But despite its small frontage, it has ample room inside housing a decent selection of used clothes and other thrift store miscellany. The weird thing about this location is that they sell "brand new" mattresses (it's even advertised outside). At first I was suspicious; but sure enough, inside at the back were a number of mattresses of various sizes, looking fresh and sealed up in plastic. The prices (couple hundred bucks apiece) helped confirm that these weren't dodgy, "refurbished" mattresses. But I'm at a loss why anyone would come here for new mattresses if they're the same as at some regular store.

The stench of mildew and mothballs is so strong I can barely spend a few minutes inside. Judging by how busy it always seems to be, there are plenty who just don't care. But if you value your health, seriously, go somewhere else. I think the air in here actually takes days off your life for every minute you spend within! Aside from the abundance of rank clothing, it also offers the usual dingy toys, early to mid 90s video games, old (likely non/mal-functioning) electronics, and the occasional bit of furniture. They also have lots of books. Really, it's like most Salvation Army Thrift Stores only thrice the stink. Finally, the staff seems mostly surly. Just no redeeming qualities to the place whatsoever... Avoid!

PLEASE - if you change your mind, bring it to the staff at the front. They'd much rather have it in their cart to put back than finding it all over the store. To the review - this donation center is great. The staff is always so helpful and cheerful. I like dropping off items here when I need to get rid of well conditioned items. Shopping here is a hit or miss, as always with thrifting. I do find that I am more likely to find something I like here than at other locations. I think it's because I find this store a bit more spacious, so I'm more willing to spend time looking through the aisles here. The pricing here leaves me kinda iffy about wanting to shop here sometimes. They keep bringing up prices so sometimes, things aren't even a good deal anymore. It's suppose to be for non-for-profit and environmentally friendly to thrift. But here, I've definitely found over priced items, broken items still being sold, and items priced higher than the original price tags attached. Be patient, spend some time... anytime you're thrifting, you need to be willing to spend time combing through each item if you want a chance to find something great.

Housewares, furniture, electronics, books, vinyl records, and CDs at the front. Then there is children's, men's, and women's clothing. Even further into the store, there is more women's clothing. Prices are very reasonable, and the items are generally in good condition. At the Kennedy store, the electronic section has power bars to test if the electronic items work. I didn't see it at this location. Glass display cases near the front have designer brand items like purses and high-heeled shoes.

Ms. Zeta were courteous and helpful, though service can vary depending who is attending you at the store. Prices are generally fair, especially for clothing and small household items, though some customers might find certain items a bit overpriced compared to other thrift stores. I appreciated Zeta when I asked for a discount and she gave me a coupon that had a 20% discount for first time buyer. I was happy and appreciated her for this and it made my decision so much easier. Overall, Zeta should be recognized for her great customer service and for managing the sale appropriately making my decision to buy the two items easier with the discount. Robert N. It's in the far corner of the plaza off the northeast corner of Weston Rd and Hwy 7. It does have ample parking. I've made use of it both as a shopper, and a donater. It serves its purpose, usually. I can't speak to how large it is compared to other locations, but it is about as large as an average Costco, and looks like one. It's a pretty bare bones warehouse full of all kinds of housewares, clothing, books, seasonal items, and even watches and jewellery. I've made a few successful trips over the years. The selection of kitchen wares, clothing, and books in particular have been very good finds. I've managed to find cooking implements for extremely low prices, many of them long ago, which I still use to this day. The clothing seems a little more costly, but still good bargains. Browsing the aisles reminds me a lot of shopping at Winners, but not as bright and shiny. But the racks and racks of clothes are arranged and of such an array as reminds me of a Winners experience, where you need to dig amongst all the odds and ends. When it comes to Christmas and Halloween, you can score a lot of great finds at bargain prices, including brand new items such as wigs and kids' costumes. I've heard a lot of negative press lately about Value Village jacking up prices on new, resale items from dollar stores. I haven't yet experienced this myself, but I will certainly keep my eye out on my next trip. Check the bottoms of items for original stickers that will tell you whether overcharging. All in all, I've been glad to have successful trips, and will certainly return when I'm up for my next thrift haul.
