I went into your store in Brantford today Saturday June 8 with the intention to use the coupon I…read morewas sent to get 20% off one item when I bought 2 items. I picked a Ty squeezy pillow for $13.99 and some varies cheap clothes. When I got to the cash i asked for the 20% off the pillow when the cashier tried to to do it she was having trouble so she called for help. The other girl told me I could only get the 20% off the cheapest item, I pointed out it didn't say that on the coupon. She told me that head office sends out the coupons and they can put any rules they want on them. I say ok forget the clothes I will get the bag of 4 trucks instead as they about the same price she then informs me the pillow doesn't count in the coupon as it's new they will only honour it if I buy 2 used items and again informs they can make rules they want it doesn't have to be stated on the coupon or in the email. That the Brantford store makes their own rules. I then informed her that this isn't the first time I have had trouble at the store that they have before rang my debit card through twice and when I went back in with the bill and everything bought plus the bank statement to show that they had done it they refused to give me my money back. They insisted it was store policy to have the bank reimburse you when they double charge you. The clerk today confirmed that this is indeed their policy as cards companies are difficult to work with. I certainly hope that you don't send out coupons that extremely difficult to use to lure people to the store so they can be talked down to by the staff. I saw someone else trying to use a different coupon to be told the Brantford store doesn't use it that way.

I went to this store for the first time a few months ago. I found a toddler dress with a price tag…read moreof $3.99, which I was pretty pleased with, but when I went to buy it, they put it in for $8. Turns out the price tag I saw was the original clearance price from Osh Kosh and Once Upon a Child wanted to sell it for double. The lady at the cash actually peeled off the original sale sticker from the tag while I watched, and said that they must have missed it while doing the pricing. Nothing like advertizing the mark-up on their clothing!! I was so annoyed that I left the store without looking at anything else. Today I decided to go back and look through the store again, just in case I misjudged it by that first bad experience, and because last time I didn't stay long enough to see what was all in there. Maybe it would be worth buying something there if you need something specific and don't have time to shop sales elsewhere. That said, I find I can do a lot better looking for clearance (especially through online sales) at new kids clothing stores, especially if I need to buy a bunch of clothing at once as I can use promo codes, free shipping over a certain amount, get credit towards next online purchase etc.
