I had the misfortune of attempting to purchase clothing at your Hamilton location.
After spending over half an hour trying on jackets which I hung up at the end of the rack by my cart, I turned around only to find an employee had taken them all and was hanging them back up on the racks. When I advised the employee that I had just spent half an hour trying them all on, and was intending to buy them, the intimidating employee who was a larger bearded biker looking character covered in tattoos just stared me down and said "Sorry Dude" before walking away.
Although I had originally intended to keep shopping, I immediately grabbed the one jacket I was trying on when the others were taken and went to pay and leave. When I went to complain at the front counter about the behavior and demeanor of the employee in question, and how I had hoped to buy a lot more and continue shopping before this incident occurred, the indifferent cashier was too engaged in trying to figure out the cash register to pay any attention to my complaint, and advised me he didn't have change for $100. I offered to pay by credit or debit, but the cashier didn't know how to use the Cash register and reverse the initial entry.
At this point I demanded my $100 back and advised him that I would never be shopping there again as a result of the intimidation, incompetence and humiliation I had been subjected to leaving the jacket at the checkout and not purchasing anything I had originally intended to.
Rest assured I will never shop at your store again, nor will I ever contribute to Children's Wish as a result. I don't know what kind of people you hire, or if the intimidating employee who looked like a member of ZZ-Top was on work release or parole, or doing community service at this location.
My only Wish for Children in need or their families is that they should never be subject to the intimidation, humiliation and incompetence of the staff at your stores as I was earlier today.
I intend to be quite vocal about this encounter with friends, family and across social media as a result, as well as advising the Children's Wish charity which I would like to support, the reasons why I can not, and will not, ever support their organization in the future because of this.
I would rather be dragged off of United Airlines than have to deal with your employees intimidating customers who were intending to spend several hundred dollars at your store. read more
