Do not rent from Public Storage at 4080 Tampa Road, East FL, Oldsmar. They will raise your rent…read moreafter they get you there! I rented a parking space for my trailer. Someone burned the wiring plug on the trailer. I contacted management and made them aware, and they advised they would review their cameras. I was later contacted and told their cameras did not cover that area! They did not offer anything either for my damage or discount rent, So why rent a space at a secured rental business? Then I was advised they couldn't believe someone would do something like that. I told them it was obvious someone did it because they placed a board over the burnt area to hide it. Then I returned this week to find their construction workers parking their personal vehicles in front of my trailer, blocking access. I called their messaging service and had to leave a message because no one was at the facility. I received no response for over 2 hours. I had to contact the company working on the facility myself to get the vehicles moved. When they finally did call back, I advised that I wanted to cancel my rental. They would not reimburse me for the rest of the month, but they did cancel my access immediately so they can rent it out again! Also pretty sure their people working and parking in front of my trailer were the ones who damaged my trailer! Very shady storage rental business! Buyer beware!! Will never rent from Public Storage again!!

My favorite place to stash my toys! Outdoor (boat/rv) storage at this location is very convenient,…read moreand I feel much more comfortable storing here than other options I've looked at. Well-organized and well-maintained; updated access equipment at the gate makes it a breeze to get in & out with the mobile app. Pricing is the best I could find with gate and monitoring. I also like that it's off a smaller road. A challenge to spot when you first drive by, but less stress getting out of and back into traffic, especially when towing. They do have some flags at the road, which helps It stand out. Once you're back on CR-52, it's an easy drive to SR-52, then I-75 or US-98/US-301. It feels out-of-the-way, but it winds up being pretty quick to get to Tampa or Orlando, or lots of parks, forests, and preserves to the North.

He said they price match, I showed him CubeSmart and he said we couldn't price match. They wanted $130 before fees, the lock, etc and were very avoidant of saying a full price. The 5x10 was a HUNDRED dollars more a month. I asked to see the unit, he said they couldn't do that. Went down the street to CubeSmart, they took care of everything, answered all my questions, showed me the units, gave me the first month free and 40% off the next three months even though I only needed a month and a few days, and they prorated. On August 3, 2025, our 2024 boat, valued at approximately $130,000, was vandalized and stripped…read morewhile stored at Safeguard Self Storage in Seffner, Florida. We chose this facility because it was advertised and represented as a secure, premium storage option, featuring vertical pivot metal gates, a 10-foot cement perimeter wall, full surveillance cameras, covered storage, and well-lit grounds. We pay $350 per month for this service (an increase of over $100 in the past six months), under the belief that these security measures would protect our property. At approximately 9:34 p.m. on August 3, 2025, unknown individuals entered the premises through the exit gate. They proceeded directly to our boat and spent over one hour, according to surveillance footage reviewed with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, forcibly working on it. For more than 30 minutes, they used tools to grind off the lock on the trailer tongue, destroying the tongue in the process. The boat was then relocated to the back of the lot, where thieves removed: The entire Yamaha motor and bracket Two Garmin GPS units Steering wheel Motor controls Ignition system and wiring 36V lithium battery Various other equipment and personal property from inside the boat After the theft, the boat was returned to its original parking spot. Despite the facility's surveillance system and staff, we were not notified until 2:44 p.m. the following day, August 4, 2025. Only after we were contacted did Safeguard notify the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Adding to our frustration, Safeguard Self Storage processed our monthly payment the same day the theft was reported. When we contacted the District Manager multiple times regarding reimbursement, we were informed that the company would not cover any losses or provide financial assistance. To date, no stolen items have been recovered. Our boat remains at the facility awaiting inspection by our insurance adjuster. This experience has left us financially harmed, emotionally distressed, and with a total loss of trust in Safeguard Self Storage. Despite paying for a facility marketed as safe and secure, our property was directly targeted, stripped, and left under their watch without intervention or adequate response. I had to give 1 star because it will not allow me to give a zero.
