They never fail to make me smile and always set me up with great products and future appointments. The esthetician's (Mare and Ana) are amazing and so is Tara the nail tech. They all make me feel so relaxed and welcomed. You are truly treated like a queen at valon. Every facial I have had makes me feel beautiful and clean. Massages by Esther & Claudia are beyond five stars. The spa is beautiful and calming and I love treating myself monthly to spa services. I could get my hair done by anyone and truly be happy! A $100 cancelation policy (48 hr ) I love my hair styler but the salon charging $100 for a late cancellation and this happened to me giving them 24h notice. I just think it is insane. Came here for a blow dry and scalp treatment. Everything is okay except I walked in the salon with the dark blue hair and walked out with blonde hair. Somehow the shampoo and treatment removed all my blue hair color. I wasn't expected that happened. The stylist also completely ignored the fact that all my hair color got removed. I had a very good experience the first time I went to Valon: the stylist listened to my preferences and requests for adjustments after the first round of cut, followed them, and I received the exact cut I had had in mind. The second time, I was with a different stylist, thought I had expressed clearly what I wanted - and did not get it. Hard to adjust and not much to do when too much is cut already. I decided to give the place and the same stylist another chance, explaining in great detail what was important to me and the look I wanted, showing pictures and being very clear about how much I wanted my hair to be cut in front (very little) l, and at the back (a couple of inches). I noticed the stylist being careful to cut only a little when working on one side of my front hair, and was relieved to see it. Then my hair on that side was pulled back for evening, and I don't know how much more was cut there.. When she started to work on the other side of the front of my hair - I realized the side that was worked on first was now too short! The one thing I did not want! So she went ahead and cut the other side in the front shorter as well. And so again, I ended up with a noticeably shorter hair on the front than I had wanted - and taken pains to make clear before any cutting. That's what I got for giving the stylist a second chance. Second - If you want your haircut to be nice and even, please see someone other than Dana. I saw her last night to shorten my hair. At the end of the cut she said to watch out for the hair on the left side because it "has a mind of its own". Okay, well I've seen plenty of stylists who know how to tame hair that has a mind of its own. Roll around to this morning when I washed and styled it and dang, I had to fight a layered bob for way too long to make the back look decent enough to leave my house. I start really checking it out, and discover that the left and right sides of my head are cut completely different. No wonder she thought it was off because it was. It's a little scary that Dana is the stylist who trains all of their apprentices there to cut hair if this is an example of her work. Super thrilled to spend $100 including tip plus 90 mins of my time to come away with this cut. I'm going back for her to attempt to fix it tomorrow, and I'm not excited to return. read more

Years later and this salon has only gotten better and better. I'm always treated so well and the service is always impeccable. Last year I got my hair cut in a shoulder length bob, longer in the front and it was so easy to style. I have since let it grow out but I'm thinking of doing it with an ombré look again. I'm undecided but I'll let my stylist decide next time I go in, she really does know what looks best on me. Christine is still my go to even though she is booked months in advance, it's always worth it. For me customer service is everything, if someone goes above and beyond I'll definitely go back and I feel like they do this every time. They know how to treat customers and I'm looking forward to my next visit there. read more

So my experience with this salon was horrendous. I went in there got a botched bleach job. I got hot roots all over. Even the owner said my hair was fine when it was clearly not. This salon wasn't cheap either at all. If I'm paying that much for my hair I expect quality hair stylist and colorist but no no no. I have been to Valon Salon twice now. First time was in August 2018 and my second time was yesterday (February 2019). Both times i have left feeling so pretty and ALL because of AMY! I've NEVER been in to getting my hair done or coloring it. I would go maybe once every couple of years to a random salon and person to chop it off and donate it. I've gotten it colored maybe twice in my whole life but I always left feeling like the stylist did what they wanted and not really what I wanted (and i never wanted anything drastic). After two babies in two years I was just not feeling good about myself. I wanted something different. So my husband did his research and found Valon Salon for me to try out. (He's incredible at researching and finding the best!). I was lucky enough to land Amy on my first visit. Amy truly made me feel pretty again for the first time in AWHILE. I was really loving my new hair do back from August! So a couple weeks ago I told my husband I wanted to do a little more with my hair so he booked me an appointment with Amy and she did it again! Not only is she so talented but she is just so easy to talk to. She listens to what I want and makes it happen. I've only had two appointments with her but I feel like she is a friend when i'm there. I had my first ever professional facial done here last week. I didn't know where to go, so I went to Groupon. I'll start by saying, I have utilized Groupon services in the past, and have felt like I was not given their best rate service. This was not the case here. The front desk ladies welcomed me, and offered me a drink. The best rave is Anna. From the moment she met me in the lobby, I was given a first class experience. I work in the service industry and have my own client base as well, and know how important this is. I also felt she listened, was sincere, and most importantly- I felt relaxed, and was given a way beyond expected experience. She also recommended a few products, but never once tried to hard sell me. This was my first visit to this salon and it was horrible. I had booked based on the awesome reviews, however, i definitely should have scheduled with one of the mentioned stylists in the reviews instead of accepting whoever was open. The stylist was to help tone my blonde highlights and color my roots to the darker shade of brown ( I have black roots). The stylist was very rough during the entire process - putting the foils in, combing my hair, and taking the foils out. After my hair was washed, I noticed my roots are still black. I asked her why, she said "well your roots are dark anyways so it'll look like this in a couple of weeks". I did not want hair that looked like it was done 4 weeks ago. I asked her to just redo my roots because I did not want my natural dark, something I had specifically told her at the start of the appointment. She was going to start all over with the highlights but I was there for over 3 hours and ready to leave. She did my root color and got color all over my forehead, just very messy. I left after my hair was washed, did not even get it blow dried. The stylist wShe was apologetic and did not charge me for the highlights but it was a very disappointing experience. Update - the manager of the salon did reach out to do what I had expected in my initial appointment. I really do love this place, almost all the folks who work here are super nice. Except for Tina...I took my mother to Tina last month and while we were waiting outside to get our temps taken, Tina comes to the door and says "send that old lady in" to our faces! I was shocked and told her it was very rude of her to say this to my mother; Even my daughters were shocked! When Tina took my mother to start doing her hair, she started to put in a morroanoil glaze, and I told Tina, I did not want a quick toner done, that I wanted my mother to have a semi-permanent toner done and I wanted to make sure she took her time as this was a treat (my mother had recently gotten out of hospital). Clearly Tina was in a hurry and just rushed my mom through her appointment; In the end, my mother was happy and her hair looked good so I made another appointment with Tina. The same thing happened again today. My mother's "toner" and "blow dry" were done in 20 minutes and I was charged a $100 for this!!! I don't mind paying but the quality of the service and the professionalism of the hair stylist are clearly lacking. She also referred to my mother as that old lady again. Tina obviously has an issue with old people. I'm never going to her again and can find another stylist at this place who I think can be nice and professional to my mother (and wants the business); I relayed all of this to the manager at the end and she tried defending Tina to me instead of listening and maybe believing what I was saying. She just kept defending Tina and saying Tina has lots of elderly clients; BTW, I love Magali here who does my hair! She is fantastic, amazing! My kids go here also but they don't see anyone specific, but we never have an issue with anyone else. Tina needs to find another profession because she is very rude to her clients and clearly doesn't care about doing a good job. read more

If you are looking for to get waxed for the first time ever, this is the place to go if you go with ANA! After an incredibly HORRIBLE experience at another salon for a Brazilian wax, I was reluctant to ever try again. Upon chance, I found a Groupon about 2 1/2 years ago for a Brazilian at Valon, booked my appointment with Ana, and haven't touched a razor since! LITERALLY. Ana is so personable and friendly that she made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire appointment. She listened to my concerns and needs, and explained everything thoroughly and completely. She literally has a magic hand. I get the majority of my body waxed and since that very first visit 2 1/2 years ago, I don't trust anybody but Ana. She is SO quick, making the process as painless as possible. She is knowledgable about which wax is best to use on every part of your skin and can give recommendations for problems like ingrowns. Ana is not only my wax lady, she's my family and I'm forever grateful for finding that Groupon oh so many years ago. I started going to this salon about 5 or so years ago, after several traumatic experiences at Creative Cuts. I called one day and wanted an appointment that afternoon and Christine had just started there, so I got her and will not go to anyone else! She always does a fabulous job on my cut and more importantly - LISTENS to what I want and doesn't just cut it the way she would like to. I had her color my hair for awhile before I went to grad school and started coloring my own hair to save money. She did a nice job on the color and what I really appreciated is that when I started coloring it myself, she didn't give me a hard time for not using her for color anymore and has given me some tips to improve my own self-coloring. Someday I'll love to get back to having her color my hair, but with gas at almost $4/gallon, it'll be awhile... (The only reason I'm not giving the salon 5 stars is because it's a bit expensive and a bit cramped - I wish there was a larger lobby area and the chairs feel a bit close together to me. I prefer the free standing type stations rather than the lined up kind.) Also - They now have a day spa adjoined to the hair salon, which I will never use as I don't use spa type services. read more

I've been going to Valon Salon since they opened. Raquel does a wonderful job with my hair & Paola's facials are awesome (same with her eyebrow waxes). I love when Elizabeth washes my hair; she gives the best scalp massages. Everyone I've dealt with at Valon listens to what I need as the customer and helps make sure I the help/results I want. The prices are a little high for my income, but I keep going back because I've never been unhappy with the services they provide. They are not any more expensive then other higher end salons.
