I've been going to this salon since it started. I had gone to another one in the area and much of the staff moved to this salon. I've been going to Rosario at CC's for around 8/9 years now. I have very curly hair and Rosario just knows how to cut it and style it so well. She also is amazing on color and highlights. I've done both with her and have been super happy with my results. I usually do a blonde highlight and love it every time. I've also been growing my hair out for some time now and she's so good about not cutting too much, which I know is a problem lots of people experience. If you want someone who KNOWS hair, go to Rosario ( or likely any other stylist there as they are all well trained). The rest of the staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The salon is usually pretty busy so just beware that your stylist may squeeze people in, especially if you're getting color. Despite that, I've never felt that my service was neglected or in any way affected by the business of the salon. This is an Aveda salon, so expect the prices to reflect the products used during your appointment and the training your stylist has undergone. $$$, but always worth it for people you can trust with your hair. read more

I have gone to other places around the area trying to search for the perfect stylist to color my hair correctly. My hair is ultra black and I wanted it to be a vibrant red color without trying multiple times. My hair stylist at CC Salon was Antoinya, she was super friendly sweet and treated me like a friend. I always have a blast with her while I am getting my hair done. She got my hair the perfect shade of red and even added volume to my lifeless hair. I love my hair and only trust Antoinya with it. My hair color has not faded and stayed vibrant for a very long time even when I need to go back for touch ups. Chanda always smiles and remembers your name and ask about how you are doing. I really enjoy receiving text messages from them to confirm my appointment instead of calling me since I might be busy with work. This place is awesome! You have to go and check it out. Never Again. I love Aveda. I just moved to fairfax and came from an Aveda salon in Fredericksburg which was a relaxing experience. This place was a nightmare. I was looking to go from frosted tips to ombré. What I got was a literal head ache and three month old looking highlights. I'm so disappointed because I asked to be treated by a senior stylist who was good with color. My experience with Aveda before was a high quality experience from entry to departure. I gave two stars because the salon was clean, my cut seems to be ok, and part of my color was done correctly. When making my appointment I was very detailed in my request of color, my hair type, and that I wanted a quality stylist. Rosario, the stylist was friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable plus I was at Aveda, so I put my trust in her. BIG MISTAKE, HUGE!!! After my hair finished processing an available stylist removed the foil and washed my hair. It felt like this women was trying to rip my hair out the entire time. At one point I was griping the chair tightly, grinding my teeth, and lifted my leg up to brace myself. It's 11pm And I got my hair done at 1pm... my head still aches in pain. Watch out for the tall pretty Asian girl with gloves she will make you feel like your getting scalped. I moved back to Rosario's station. My hair was so knotted from the scrub I started to run my fingers through my hair and clumps fell out . The woman rubber so hard she ripped my hair out. Angry I decided to sit back and close my eyes while Rosario cut and dried my hair. As she was blow drying my hair she showed me the blonde color which was perfect however I could not see the harsh lines until she was finished and showed me the back. Ombré is meant to be three different colors blended. In my case from dark to light. However what I got was a harsh line 5 inches from my scalp where the blonde highlights all start. Not only was the color style wrong but she let me leave the salon with a horrible blow dry. By the time I got home my baby hairs in the front were standing straight up. My husband laughed at me. Before leaving I was asked if it turned out the way I wanted and I said "no I asked for ombré. My hair is only two colors" the manager just said "Well it's sombre". Like it didn't matter that her stylist don't know how to properly complete the look. I won't be returning. I'd rather drive to Fredericksburg's than go through that hell again. read more

I LOVE Aveda! Their products are great, their employees are educated and helpful (I never leave an Aveda without a new tip or trick to try), and they pamper you for a fair price. Where I grew up, Aveda is everywhere, now we move around a bit and I cannot always find one near me - it is well worth the 10 minute drive (I would drive a half hour or more just for the quality of their staff). That being said, Rosario cut my hair today and it's GREAT. She made sure to ask detailed questions before cutting, it is perfect. I knew going in I would be happy but this is over the top. I have to say, I wish I could have them shampoo my hair every day - so relaxing, fantastic scalp massage. read more

I wish there was a way I could give more than 5 stars to this amazing establishment! I have been going to Cindy since I moved to the area in 2005, and followed her when she opened her salon. I have had the best hair cuts, color and overall service with The CC salon staff for 13 years and I will never go anywhere else! They are always accommodating with my schedule, especially the past few years, now that I'm a working mom they totally get that salon time is "me" time, and I feel pampered from the minute I walk in to door right up until I leave. I have had some health issues resulting in hair loss over the years, and I always feel this is taken into consideration and my service is tailored to my specific needs. I love that before anything is done, I sit down for a dry hair consult with my stylist, we look at pictures, she studies my hair and we discuss what I'd like done that day and how I want to look when I leave. Throughout my service she checks in and we review what's being done next as far as root touch up, shade of high lights, trimming layers, bangs, etc. I should also mention that I don't go in for a cut or color as often as I should, I'm probably months overdue each appointment. However, my layers and overall style are still on point, just longer. I think this speaks volumes about the quality cut I receive. My stylist just knows my hair and how to cut to accommodate growth. Lastly, it would be very remiss of me to not mention the overall warmth and friendliness of the staff. It's not just a simple "Hi, how are you?" When I walk in the door, it's a smile and greeting from everyone I see, they offer to take my coat, offer me a drink the whole time I'm there, ask if I need anything to be more comfortable, check if I need bathroom breaks (bc lets face it, you can be in that chair for a while!). I was even fed by the staff during an appointment because I was pregnant and my sugar was dropping, totally my fault, but they literally shared their meals with me and offered to go buy me food! Lovely salon with fabulous Aveda products! I made my appointment same day just to get the color done. My highlights were getting orange and a bit scary. Melissa was down to earth, friendly and extremely patient with me. I get very anxious in hair salons. I knew what I wanted but it was difficult to describe and I didn't have a photo. Apparently, I was lucky because she specializes in red color. I wanted an auburn look and that's exactly what she gave me. And I was lucky to have her shampoo my hair because it was the most relaxing experience ever! I really enjoyed the salon because it was so unpretentious, clean and welcoming. Rosario is the only person I will let touch my hair. She gets it right every time. She keeps detailed notes of what you've done on previous visits and it makes it easy to walk in and she knows the color, highlight and cut you got the last time. I have been going to CC salon since my best friends wedding in 2009. Julie did my hair for the wedding and I have been going back every since. Chanda and Julie are my go to ladies for haircuts and the experience each and every time is amazing. I have also had my eyebrows waxed at CC and will never go to a cheap place for eye brow waxing again, not only was the shape perfect, it also lasted much longer than previous experiences and she really spent the time to do it right (I don't remember who did it, but she really was incredible!!!) My son, who is now 2, hated going to get his hair cut, so I caved and began taking him to CC as well. His experiences there with Julie have been so positive, that he actually sits still and just chills while she cuts his hair. Julie listened to my concerns about previous hair stylists that had used the clippers on him, which I believe scared him, and she made sure to just use scissors and her extreme patience to do an amazing job on my little guy. We will never get a hair cut anywhere else for him. My husband has been going to various barbers in the area for years and was always a little unhappy. I brought him to CC one time and since then he has also been a loyal customer. His favorite part of the experience is most likely the shampooing, as they spend a lot of extra time on the head massage, however he is also always just as pleased with his hair cut when he leaves. I would highly recommend CC Salon to anyone for anything from wedding styling and make-up, every day hair cuts, kids hair cuts and men's hair cuts as well. I have only been to this salon twice. The first time they got the cut right and color wrong (I do a red). The second time was the WORST experience I have ever had. First I called and explained I needed one of their better stylist as I like to have an angled bob and I have red hair and I need someone who can make it brighter. The soonest they had with their "best" stylist was a week away, I was fine with that. Mind you I have been using Aveda salons for 10 years this is the first time I have been to one that was this bad. So the stylist got the color right, but she could not do an angled bob at all! I had a very short regular bob that went to my earlobes. All I could do was cry! I have a round face and this did NOT go with my face. Another stylist tried helping to fix it, but it was to late, my hair was gone and way too short (I have kept an angled bob for 6 years) this salon is horrid. And to make matters worse because I cried and was so upset (yes it was that bad, I cried). They asked if I could not return because they did not want the other clients disturbed. (Seriously). They did tell me this on the phone after the incident, surely they would not say it in front of other clients. Keep in mind they give discounts to clients who write positive reviews. I was not impressed for an Aveda salon. read more

I have been coming to CC Salon for almost 8 years. They have always taken care of me. However, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving of this year (2018) I was flabbergasted by the rude and atrocious treatment that I received from management. I had a 5pm appointment with my longtime stylist and was running late. I called the salon to let them know that I was running late and they told me it was ok to still come in, but try to make it by 5:15 pm because they would close early due to Thanksgiving holiday. Of course due to traffic I arrived at the salon slightly after 5:15 pm (5:30?). Upon arrival my stylist for 8 years was ready to take me, however her manager prevented my stylist from helping me because they would be closing sharply at 6 pm. The purpose for my writing this review is to let the public know that CC Salon did not value me as being a long term client with them. On that day, CC Salon's management decided that they would no longer need my business. I understand that everyone needs to go and spend time with their families during the holidays, and I embrace that concept. However, the reason why I was most upset is CC Salon turned me away like I was stranger. I felt like I was totally disrespected especially after being with them for so long. I would have gladly rescheduled my appointment had I been told that I could not be 1 minute late past 5:15 pm. I'm certain my stylist was not aware that the manager on duty would make such a non empathetic decision. In my opinion, the manger on duty made a short sited and poor business decision and I will never be returning to CC Salon under their current management structure. read more

I ended up making another appointment (via phone this time, not using their online system!) and seeing my girl Haydee for highlights. She did her usual magnificent job. While there, Crystal came over and apologized for the mess about my appointment the week prior. Thank you Crystal, your attitude made up for the bad time I had with Tiffany over the phone. I showed Crystal the email I had received saying my appointment was scheduled for Friday at 4:45 pm, which Tiffany doubted and had made me feel like I was lying or making excuses. Well, Crystal's jaw dropped when she saw it, because they had not seen it on their end and had NO IDEA that their system had screwed up so badly! Profuse apologies followed as well as a discount on my current service. I'm glad they finally believed me and took it seriously! My daughter and I both go to Julie for cut and highlights. She's excellent at both! My daughter is pretty picky about her hair, but Julie always makes her happy. Julie has worked with me through some recent hair changes, suggesting techniques and teaching me different ways to style my hair. She takes her time and is such a pleasure to chat with - a genuinely sweet, gentle person. I also have to commend Crystal for her stellar customer service. She bends over backwards to make sure their clients are happy, comfortable, and relaxed. She remembers names, events, and details of her clients' lives and really makes us feel special. The entire staff is professional and friendly. The shampoo girls give great head and neck massages while shampooing your hair. They always offer you something to drink. I had been taking my two daughters to CC's for over a year and always got great service. The last time I scheduled an appointment I had to wait 40 min. The stylist rushed both of my children through two cuts telling me she didn't have a lot of time. She actually handed me a hairbrush and told me to brush their hair. She ran back to her other customer and when I called her on the fact one of the cuts was crooked she hacked through my daughter's hair again. I sent a formal letter and email to the owners explaining I was unhappy with the service or the cuts. No one bothered to answer me or apologize. It seems children are not valued by this salon and my money isn't either. Horrible customer service and bad haircuts. read more
