First time, last time. Our waitress was fantastic. She could not have been more pleasant!!!! This may sound cheap, but I never had to pay for refills of my ice tea ever! No mention of that money grab on the menu. The bread was as good as what we make in our bread maker at home. Ho hum at best. Tried the traditional pizza for something different...expected an excellent example of what a pizza could be...very good flavor, but the thin crust was as hard as oak wood veneer. My fork could barely penetrate it :-( Closed the meal with a brownie with chocolate mousse dessert...the mousse was delicious, the brownie was semi sweet and nearly as hard as the pizza crust. Tried to share it with 4 others at our table, and no takers. My sister had the bread pudding, it was great. read more

I would give this 3.5/5 stars tonight. But I think the potential to be 4.5 to 5 stars is definitely there. First of all the ambiance is inviting and beautiful. The bar downstairs is really cute. I do wish the lighting in the main room was more dim. It would be much more romantic with dim lighting. The candles/lights on the table are a nice touch. The bathrooms were clean. The complimentary valet parking is great because parking can be limited in the area. The drinks were delicious. We enjoyed wine, an old fashioned, an espresso martini and a mocha martini. Conner was a wonderful server, he brought everything we needed and some. He was efficient, kind and great at offering opinions on the menu options. I gave it three stars because I think some adjustments could be made to the food. I think this will absolutely be a 4-5 star review next time I go because it's their opening week and things always need to be ironed out. The Parma salad in my opinion was extremely salty and acidic and needed something to cut the bite of those flavors. My husbands steak tagliata which was like a salad was amazing. 5 stars for sure. The roast pork agnolotti was delicious. The sauce was 5 stars, however the pasta was a little al dente on some of the ends. The Delmonico steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as asked but desperately needed salt and pepper. The au gratin potatoes also desperately needed salt. My husband loved the roasted hot peppers and said they were seasoned well. The tiramisu was probably one of the best restaurant ones I've ever had. The only flaw was there was some clumps of I'm assuming cream cheese making the texture a little off. But the flavor was spot on. Espresso martini and mocha martini were beautifully presented. The espresso martini was on par but the mocha martini was a little lacking in flavor for me. The amount of food you get is well worth the money. And with a few seasoning tweaks I really think this will be an amazing restaurant. read more

Wish I could zero stars. Food was awful. Service was even worse. Never seen a restaurant tell a paying customer that they need to hurry and order because the kitchen is closing 1 hour before they actually close. Then don't offer reservations for that time slot. My second visit to Vallozzi's was very different from my first, and not in a good way. Don't get me wrong, it's still the best restaurant Versailles has to offer, but for an upscale, somewhat pricey restaurant, they should be paying close attention to details. I'm a firm believer that ambience can excuse a multitude of sins, but even that was lacking. The lights in the dining room were harsh and too bright for the room and the time of night. I did not ask for them to be turned down, but I should have. Two of the three of us in my party got salads and one got the meatball appetizer. My chopped salad was excellent and came prepared just as I requested. We asked for fresh cracked pepper and Parmesan cheese. Instead of a pepper mill we got cheap looking salt and pepper shakers and a bowl of what looked like Kraft Parmesan cheese. Disappointing, particularly considering that even Olive Garden gives you freshly grated Parmesan cheese tableside. I ordered the pappardelle bolognese, one friend got the short ribs and the other got the lobster risotto, one of the higher end menu items at $50. My bolognese was good, the short ribs were excellent, but my other friend said her lobster risotto was just so-so and not nearly as good as it had been the last time she was there. We were not asked if we wanted dessert, coffee, or after dinner drinks. I asked about the desserts when the server asked if we wanted boxes for our food. Both of my friends said their tiramisu was too soggy. I took a bite and almost choked on the liquid that came out of the lady fingers. All in all, it was a disappointing experience when we had come expecting a repeat of our first visit. It's too early for this restaurant to be sliding downhill if they want to make a long term go of it in a place that is off the beaten path. My first visit garnered 5 stars but this one gets 4, and only that high because I truly want to see them succeed. read more

I thought the food was pretty good (varied by dish) but the prices were very high. Yes, the portions are correspondingly large, but who wants that? The restaurant was all I had hope it would be and more. We visited the area the week of 11/7 and stayed at a local Air B&B (which was also fantastic). We stayed in Versailles and wanted to find a local dinner option. I read about Vallozzi's and thought we would try it for our last night in town. My husband ordered the Del Monico rib eye steak, my friend and I ordered the Rigtoni Alla Vodka and my friend's husband ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese. All four meals were absolutely fantastic. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection and was so large he actually had to get a take-out box. The service was impeccable. Very top notch. I couldn't ask for a better way to spend our last night out. This is a hidden gem! If I am ever in the area again I will visit this place again. read more

Amazing! Love the decor and ambiance. We were there on a Wednesday night and most tables were filled. There were four of us and it was quiet enough to have conversation! That was the first plus! The second plus was our waiter. He was knowledgeable about the history of Vallozzi's and the menu. We asked for recommendations and he did not disappoint. The third plus, the entrees were amazing and presented well. It is obvious that the finest of ingredients are used. We had Orecchiette, Roasted Pork Agnollotti and the Branzino. The bread and desserts were the final plus! We shared Tiramisu and Warm Bread Pudding for dessert. If you appreciate fine dining in an historic atmosphere, you must experience Vallozzi's. read more

I will be 53 years old in a couple days and I am not joking when I say that this was one of the best meals I have eaten in those years! To start, they serve a wonderful focaccia with whipped ricotta and olive oil to spread/dip. SO good! The bread was moist and perfectly held the spread. My husband said he could have just left after the bread and been happy! I had the salmon which was perfectly prepared on a bed of artichoke hearts with pesto, olives, etc. It was perfection. The atmosphere is very nice and our server, Kim went above and beyond. (We were celebrating our wedding anniversary.). I can not recommend this establishment enough! Everyone was focused on making sure we had a nice experience, even the Valet team. Highly recommend this new addition to the Versailles neighborhood. AMAZING! I am so happy to finally have my favorite cuisine in my hometown. We tried two entrees: rigatoni alla vodka and chicken Parm. Salad was the Parma, also great. Paired dinner with a Cali cab and a Woodford. The ambiance is nice and you can choose in which area you dine, I look forward to a fall nights on the patio when it opens. I had a fantastic meal here during their soft opening and already have reservations to come back in two weeks. Our favorite appetizers so far were the Arancini, Zucchini Romano, and Burrata. The Pappardelle Bolognese was a terrific, fresh pasta dish and the Scallops were also delicious. We'll leave room for desserts on the next visit. I can't wait to go back.
