They have a number of other items they sell besides cupcakes but I haven't tried any of them. They don't have a storefront but they frequent a number of the local farmers' markets and events. If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered cakes from them for years, this time I ordered a cake and it was not what I wanted. They ran out of whipped cream and slapped buttercream on it. Mind you the cake was already paid in full, they would offer a refund at all. At this point it is what it is should be alright, everyone got sick after eating the cake.The cake was old and so was the icing on the cake. I called them they said that they would reach out again they never did. Tried to talk it out with them they refused to make another cake and wanted to charge me an extra $21 on top of the $42 I had already paid.. . . The entire cake is still sitting there nobody could eat it. Whoever the manager or owner is they are super aggressive. They blamed me for the cake like I didn't make it, they never wanted to make it right they just wanted me to spend money or keep my money on a product they didn't deliver on. Buyer beware. I've been going to Vallo's Bakery for 9 years, and it has always been one of my favorite places! The food is consistently fresh, delicious, and made with so much care. What I also love is the atmosphere -- it's always warm, welcoming, and has that cozy neighborhood bakery feel that makes you want to come back. The staff are friendly and make you feel like a regular, even on a quick visit. After 9 years, I can honestly say Vallo's Bakery has never disappointed me. My best friend ordered a custom Bluey cake for her daughters 2nd birthday. We went to pick it up this afternoon and the cake was gone. Someone had picked it up that was NOT authorized to. They do NOT check ID, they just let it walk out the door. This cake was prepaid, they will NOT give a refund until Tuesday of next week when the manager comes in. They would not let us speak to the manager. No one offered anyway to make up for what happened. This is despicable to say the least Update Tuesday Morning. The manager & some dude standing next to her are laughing. Refusing to give us our $70 back. The story has now changed again to no refund & they refuse to do that. read more

Once we got to the car, we started second-guessing whether there had been a mistake. I even went online and checked their ordering page to confirm the prices. To my surprise, there was no error - the tarts are actually $17 each. I can usually justify higher prices if the food is truly exceptional, made with rare or unique ingredients, or if part of the proceeds go toward a meaningful cause. In this case, though, I didn't feel the quality matched the cost. There are several vegan bakeries in NJ that offer better-tasting treats at more reasonable prices. At that price point, I truly hope the workers behind the counter are earning well above minimum wage and that their hourly pay reflects what this place charges for a single tart.
